We wanted to order Chinese on Christmas Eve, but every place was either closed or long wait time. Wok To Go is right down the block from us so I looked up the reviews and we both ordered items that were highly recommended from other reviews. My husband got the pepper steak and thought it was very good and the price was more reasonable than other places we've gone to. I ordered the shrimp egg foo young because that was also highly recommended in reviews and it was very very tasty. Plus the gravy for the egg foo young had the most flavor than I've ever had! Will definitely be ordering from here again because there were a couple of items on the menu that I was curious about but wanted to find out if we liked it first. read more

So I placed an online order for Hong Kong Express and when I walked in I saw to my dismay this was a buffet style restaurant with disgusting looking food that had been sitting out all day. Luckily when I walked in and asked about my order they were confused and I discovered they hadn't even started making it (mind you I had ordered almost 20 minutes in advance) so I canceled my order right then and there and placed a separate order with this restaurant. Best decision I made all weekend. This food is made fresh and as you can see looks absolutely amazing and tasted just as great. I really love this Chinese restaurant. Ordered takeout tonight and got shrimp fried rice, chicken FR, chicken lomein, and a shrimp egg roll. They have a table setup in front of the door with hand sanitizer so you don't actually go in the restaurant, they sort of bring it to the door. I live close by so when I got home and opened the boxes they were still steaming hot. Everything was really fresh and great. I noticed the shrimp were the full size shrimp, not those tiny little canned ones that some Chinese restaurants will sometimes use..even in their egg rolls! Anyway it was a good experience and I look forward to going back. Oh yeah and I forgot the best part...my bill was only $16 for this haul of food! Quality and quantity! Sweet-and-sour pork does not come with the sauce on it but it was very fresh and tasty they look like little corn dogs with a little end of batter you can actually hold for those without chopsticks or a fork. Beef broccoli was tender and fresh broccoli blanched perfectly. Orange chicken what's the best day ever had and the Kung POW just the right amount of spice. The search for great Chinese food in the midwest continues. The short version is, I dont like Chinese food. The long version is, I only like it when it's REALLY good, which I base on what I am used to from the east coast. My wife also likes it, also is used to east coast Chinese food (she lived in DC from age 0-32) but is a little less picky than I. So I most of the time, say "I dont even want it!" She on the other hand, will order it around here, and be ok with it. SOOOOO wife asks for Chinese food. I was near Mequon, WI at the time, and checked Google and Yelp. One place had 5 stars on on sites? That's unusual, let's give it a try. It is a typical takeout only Chinese spot. No dining tables, a few chairs, and you can see them cooking. Clean, harsh, and sparse. I got chicken fried rice and Sesame Chicken for the wife, and pork fried rice and Hot & Spicy Beef for me. I did not try her fried rice, she said it was pretty bland. My pork fried rice was average. I tried a bite of her Sesame Chicken, which is one of the dishes I LOVE on the east coast and have NEVER found any as good around here. It was actually one of the best I've found around here. My hot & spicy beef was solidly good. In general I find beef dishes better than chicken around these parts. Prices are considerably less than other Chinese takeout around here. I'll give them 5 stars as they are one of the only few Chinese food places in southern WI I will consider returning to (the others are Moy's in Elkhorn and Lucky Liu's in Milwaukee.) But I have several more to try. read more

Went there Friday afternoon to order Shrimp Egg Foo Young for my Mother and myself. We each had the lunch portion with two patties. Absolutely delicious and with nice, large plump shrimp. The best I've had in Milwaukee and I have tried a lot of Chinese restaurants here. So very delicious and filling--finished the rest for breakfast the next morning--it was just as good as the day before--and I was stuffed again lol. From now on this is the only place I'll be getting my foo young from and will certainly try other dishes. So good! read more

Do they know something that we don't))))) Seriously....they run around like crazy and yell at each other as your order is being made...but it is an act designed to make you think that your food is gonna be great. Shrimp was also overcooked in my entree" They got the theatrics down...just don't be fooled into thinking there is any real good food. Delicious freshly made Chinese food. This is a take out place as there is only one table (and the name ha). The kitchen is open and very clean. The wonton soup is amazing. Eaten from here 3-4 times now. As Chinese Restaurants go, you've got your bottom-barrel ones that are really cheap, you can tell everything was frozen, syrupy sauces, etc. Then you've got the really great ones which are like proper sitdown places. Then you have the middle tier, which is a place where they make stuff by hand, some of it ahead of time, but things come out consistent and they come out good. This is one of the middle places. Everything we've gotten was consistent quality, everything has been good, the Rangoons aren't just sweetened cream cheese. They're savory and actually taste like there's meat in them. My wife really loved the Eggroll there. She normally enjoys eggrolls, but this one stood out to her. I'd give it a 4.5 since there were actually some things that stood out to me, if I could. The fried rice is just what you'd expect, and the Sesame Chicken I normally get seems fresh. Also they deliver, though they're closed Mondays. Really, this area has been sorely missing a decent chinese place, so I'm very glad to see them there, and I hope they stay. read more

Ordered the Singapore Style Chow Mee Fun which was very good. Slightly spicy with pork, shrimp, egg, mushroom, and green onion blended together with a very tasty curry sauce makes this an excellent dish. Hunan beef was tender and was sauteed with broccoli and green pepper. The orange chicken was lightly breaded in a mild sauce and also very tender. All in all a very good meal with a good amount for leftovers too! Looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu. read more

Wok 2 Go is the best Chinese in Brown Deer. They are super friendly, their kitchen is clean and their price is right. We usually go for General Tso's, sesame chicken, pork egg roll and crab Rangoon. I think we get takeout food here about 3 times per month. Always tastes amazing and always very fast service. Their rice is also spectacular. So many restaurants don't put effort into making delicious white rice. The egg and veggie pancake with gravy is mouth savoring deliciousness. They also have some pretty tasty Chinese donuts.
