Pepper and Salt Seasoned Chicken--H25 on the menu--incredible!
    Andy M.

I have to say I'm very impressed. I've always liked the food here, (especially their peppery salt chicken which is phenomenal), and my daughter loves their chicken lo mein), but King's Wok Pewaukee completely remodeled the place and it looks fantastic. It went from a dive to a destination. Outstanding! I definitely prefer this King's Wok to the one in Hartland. I usually get takeout, but I do dine in occasionally, and now I will certainly go more often. Im quite impressed with the updates.

I was in the area around lunch time today so I jumped on yelp to see what I had bookmarked in the area and my first choice was closed so I went here instead. The place is in a strip mall and its take out or delivery only because the dining room is closed. You can't even walk in and your payment goes through a little door and the drawer below it slides out your order, be careful because I gave a $20 for my $8 order and I was $2 and some change back and I said I gave you a $20 where's the rest of my change and they gave me my $10 back. I thought that I would try the beef with vegetables lunch special that comes with pork fried rice and a pork egg from the app menu. The egg roll was the tiny kind and very average with not much flavor. The pork fried rice was soggy because it's at the bottom of the container and they slapped the beef with vegetables on top of it, really. The veggies were cooked to mush which was disappointing while the beef was thin and somewhat tender but not very flavorful as was the whole meal. Overall my lunch was super average and I probably will not return because nothing impressed me at all.

Peas are hard and white from freezer burn. No egg to be found.

Wow what happened to this place? It's been about 4 months since I've ordered but probably never again. Fried rice had zero egg. White freezer burnt hard peas. If that wasn't bad enough, the shrimp egg foo yung had lumpy gravy and the shrimp was VERY fishy. Also the fried wontons were hard as a rock. Not a single thing we ordered was worthy of sending out of the kitchen.

    Steamed dumplings

The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend this place. Try the steamed dumplings!

Vegetable lomein, egg drop soup, and crab rangoons. 10/10

Second time eating here (first time was a year ago when there were still covid restrictions) but both times the food was AMAZING! And the prices are really good too!! Best egg drop soup and the veggie lomein is so good I always pick the bigger portion to have leftovers later. Spring rolls and crab rangoon's are a MUST. We ordered for 3 people, $60 total, for 2 orders of rangoon's, egg rolls, soup, and three "main" meals, and it was ready in 20 minutes. For sure will be back again and again.

Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told the wait for hibachi would be quite pretty long, so we opted for the non-hibachi menu. I'm not big on sushi, so I chose to get Chinese, which, didn't seem like too much of a stretch given the Chinese lions outside the front doors. To get started I ordered their calamari, which resembled Kopp's onion rings with the texture of Haribo gummy worms that were in a bag "closed" by a three year old and left out for weeks. If you've never experienced that, it means like rubber, and when you try to rip a bite away with your canines, the onion ring coating crumbles all over the place. Nice! After about a 40-45 minute wait later the food arrived. The servings were huge, but that's where the fun ended. I ordered sesame chicken, but what was placed in front of me was hella orange, not only in color but flavor. I informed my waiter that they mistakenly served me orange chicken, but good old David, the waiter, informed me that even though it tasted like orange chicken, in no way could it be because it had sesame seeds on it. Ok cool, throwing sesame seeds on anything doesn't make it sesame. After a few back and forths with David and the manager, they insisted sesame chicken is the same as orange chicken, and general Tso's chicken but with sesame seeds. Hmmm, since I've cooked sesame chicken and general Tso's chicken myself (Made with Lau, look his videos up on YouTube) I knew sesame chicken includes sesame oil, which was not at all present alongside the orange flavor. You would think that makes sense, but good old David let me know that in none of his stints as a Chinese food chef, all across the country, did the sesame chicken recipe call for sesame oil. I wonder where the name came from then, sesame seeds? I can't believe they were so set against being wrong that they would argue there is no sesame oil in sesame chicken, and presumably that sesame chicken should taste like orange chicken, minus the orange zest. If you decide to visit Asiana, heed my warning and stay away from the Chinese food. Don't be fooled by the inclusion of the Chinese lions, and stick to the Japanese theme, since my brother did enjoy his sushi. 2 stars only because the rest of the group had decent meals. Just avoid any Chinese chicken dish.

Unfortunately, the dish lacked flavor and I ended up adding soy sauce and hot sauce at home to give it some life. I like a little spice on my Thai food, but not too much and I did not realize that the mild spice level was pretty much a zero spice level so next time I will pick medium. I loved the light cook on the vegetables and how crunchy they were. The staff was very friendly and the inside of the restaurant was beautiful. I went there a different time and got their sashimi flight and a salmon avocado hand roll. I moved here from Vegas so I'm very picky about sushi and seafood in general. This has been one of the best sushi places in Wisconsin for me so far! The fish was high quality, extremely fresh and definitely superior to the other sushi places I have tried out here. Even though the drunken noodle I had was lacking, I definitely want to go back and would love to give some of their other Thai items because they look really good. And I will 100% go back for the sushi!!

Mom's Kitchen is such a charming and cozy little spot. The restaurant felt open, spacious, and welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We came in for an early Wednesday evening dinner and were seated right away. Definitely one of the perks of beating the dinner rush! They have a pretty extensive menu along with a signature menu, so naturally, we had to order enough food to turn the table into our own little buffet. We ordered: - Korean Wings - Crispy, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal. - Chive Dumplings - These were interesting! They reminded me more of a soft, doughy Korean style pancake than a traditional dumpling. Not necessarily my favorite dish of the night, and I could have done without it - Salt & Pepper Chicken - THE WINNER! This was easily our favorite dish. Crispy, savory, seasoned perfectly, and something I would absolutely order again. - Shrimp Pineapple Fried Rice - It was good! It had a slight curry flavor that I personally liked. My guest was about 50/50 on the curry flavor. The rice was a bit dry and could use a bit more savory taste. - Duck Pad Thai - Probably the lightest dish flavor wise. I personally would have preferred a little more sauce and a stronger marinade on the duck, but that's also personal preference. The duck itself was a nice change from your typical chicken, beef, pork or shrimp Pad Thai. The noodles were also a bit dry. A bit disappointed with this signature dish. One thing I really appreciated was the portion size. They are very generous here, so you definitely feel like you're getting your money's worth. We ordered quite the spread and had plenty of food to enjoy and had to take home. Not every dish is going to be everyone's favorite, especially with such a large and diverse menu, but that's actually one of the reasons I'd come back. There are SO MANY other dishes I still want to try! Overall, Mom's Kitchen was a good find in Pewaukee. Between the cozy atmosphere, friendly service, generous portions, and huge selection of dishes, I think it's absolutely worth checking out, especially if you enjoy Thai and Asian fusion cuisine. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in town. The Salt & Pepper Chicken is definitely on my list for a 2nd order . Also, I always order a Thai curry and this time I didn't. So next time it's on my table for sure.

The restaurant features a menu highlighting Mandarin influences, Thai, and Japanese, along with a sushi bar and hibachi tables. There's guaranteed to be something for everyone on this menu. We come for the sushi. They always have the freshest fish - Tuna, Salmon, Sea Urchin, Surf Clam, Eel, Sweet Shrimp, Abolone - you name it, they serve it. The sushi is available as sashimi style, maki roll, or there is a giant menu of different rolls and sauces to choose from. My wife loves the Sunshine Roll (tempura Lobster), and my daughter loves the plain tuna roll. I dig the Angry Spider Roll or a Volcano Roll. Crispy oysters are hearty, with a plum dipping sauce. I honestly haven't had anything I wouldn't try again! The sushi appetizer menu itself has a collection of unique presentations that have all been amazing! Before she braved the sushi my daughter often ordered off the menu, her choices ranging from chicken tempura to the Sesame Chicken or Lo mein, and always tasty with large portions. I was happy to finish later what she could not, lol. Service is good, sometimes the weekend nights get a little hectic but they make mean drinks! Get the Zombie rum mixer, it'll get ya there. My daughter always enjoys the Japanese soda they offer, nice little treat. Saki of course and Sapporo beer, there's not much you could ask for they don't have! Great place. Parking usually not an issue as much as navigating through the lot during peak periods for what it's worth.
