Went there for the first time last night and was so pleasantly surprised. I do want to note that this review is based on QPR. That means, nothing even comes close for the price, it's not upscale fine dining. It's a wonderful place to go with friends and family to have a great meal super service and no rush. Taking price out of the equation, it would be four stars for sure. Our bruschetta as my picture indicate it looked great, tasted even better. We both had chicken marsala over pasta. This was genuine chicken marsala. Not foo-foo in any way, and very generous portions. Add fresh, prepared for us. Finally, hats off to our server, Sherry. We went to Piccola Italian restaurant last night Saturday 4/25. Made reservations for party of six for 5:15pm. Got there at 5:15 and seated promptly. Waited a few minutes for waitress to come get drink order. Came back at 5:25 with waters and took our orders. 15 minutes later she brought out five salads and one soup. At 6:20 she came back to table and said sorry for the wait. Kitchen had lots of pizzas to do?!?!? We ordered pastas dishes, one small pizza and one veal parm. Do they only have one oven? Food arrived at 6:30. It was very good but the wait for it was unacceptable. People that came in after us had eaten already and left. The owner or supervisor should have come over to explain delay. I try very hard to support local small business. This was disappointing. I feel more seen and cared about walking in to a Dollar General. Skip this nursing home style food and go to the new fancy looking place in Wesley Chapel and have a fancy dining "experience" where 3 or 4 friendly, helpful, energetic servers make you think they love you and are going to miss you every moment until you come back and they see you again. The prices are the same. This is not the childhood neighborhood restaurant of your memories. They won't that treat you like you're their niece. They don't care what your name is or if they see you again. This restaurant will NOT turn out to be a memory of delicious, hearty, savory food. The server was an "order taker" as opposed to a guide helping to select a tasty meal. The server looked annoyed with the couple of questions I asked ("Would she chose z or y?" and "Would she choose small or regular?"). The server provided no feedback even about whether the small or regular portion was the way to go. She stared at me annoyed with a, "When is this night going to be over look." I got my check not long after 5 pm. It was early. I asked the server for her recommendation a couple of times. She started at me annoyed. When asked whether I should go with the regular or the small. The server said, "It's regular so it's large." Large? The "regular" that's a "large" is a small at a regular, new restaurant. The small must be a shot glass of bloated, flavorless noodles with watery sauce. Doritos are tastier than the spaghetti sauce at this restaurant. I asked for extra sauce for my tasteless, white, naked noodles. I got a little saucer of watery sauce with the same practically non-existent meat. I had the flavorless, virtually sauceless and virtually meatless bloated spaghetti noodles with non-existent meat sauce. I overheard another server say that angel hair pasta is an up charge. I would have gladly uncharged to Angel hair rather than the water logged, bloated and flavorless, slick, sauceless noodles I received. The server later breezed by later with an, "Are you good." A manager or owner breezed by with the same "I don't care" version of "Are you good." I put my flavorless, over bloated noodles in a To Go container and will make a thick tangy meat sauce with savory spices at home. I'm hungry and can't eat any more of this no-flavor food and don't want yo cook completely from scratch when I get home. Wish me luck making this into spaghetti. The place is old and decor looks dated, but clean. The service staff is extremely attentive and friendly. Makes you feel welcomed. I chose the pasta fagulle soup ( good), ziti w pink sauce (very good sauce & pasta aldente), Shrimp parm had very good taste, but little to much coating for my taste. I prefer less bread crumbs. My husband ordered the linguine with seafood. Very good. Large portion and flavor profile for my taste just needed a pinch of salt. Easy fix. Absolutely amazing! We went to Zepherhills to go to a certain restaurant. The wait was way too long. It was about 3:45 on the Friday before Valentine's Day. So I went to Yelp to find somewhere else. Piccolo Italia came up first with great reviews. So we gave them a try. We were not disappointed! The service was wonderful so attentive, even the owner came over to greet us. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as our appetizer. So cheesy and delicious. I had the house salad and Osso Buco. The blue cheese dressing for the salad was house made and perfect. The Osso Buco over creamy risotto was fall off the bone delicious! My husband had the pasta fagioli soup and the Lasagna. We will definitely be going back. An ok Italian spot in Zephyrhills, FL. We were really excited to try it and hoped to love it. The parking lot and long weekend wait (perfectly fine and expected) lifted our expectations. Several people waiting were regulars and assured us the food was worth the wait. Sadly, the flavor was simply not there. I had a rude interaction with the sever. My food also came out cold. Considering the the interaction with the server was before we got out food she very well could had purposely made sure our food was cold before serving to us. I would just like to add we have been loyal costumers prior to this incident and we do not think we will be coming back here. Had a wonderful dinner tonight as always.This is our favorite restaurant and we brought a new couple to our neighborhood tonight for dinner they loved it.We were greeted with a smile and seated immediately and had a wonderful attentive waitress who promptly took our drink order.After drinks came we ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was incredibly delicious so tender and the sauce is amazing.Then we had French onion soup which is rarely on the menu it was amazing we actually put the garlic bread in it and it was yummy.My hubby got a white pie I had combo of lasagna,manicotti,and eggplant parm all was amazing and my friend got chicken marsala all was wonderful and we had a wonderful waitress as well.This place is our favorite and the owner is a wonderful person always so personable and welcoming as is his staff.We always have a great time when we go there and am so happy to bring new people there. read more

When my friend told me they treat you like family, he wasn't lying. We showed up for a really late lunch or early dinner a.k.a. "linner". They were surprisingly busy for 330 in the afternoon. We were promptly greeted and seated. We were asked if we'd been there before and my friend said he had but I had not. The server immediately welcomed me and gave me the rundown. (You get cool extras on your first visit) Me and my buddy both ordered the special which was a "black & blue" chicken paste bake that was really tasty. The pasta were little pouches stuffed with 4 cheese blend them ripped with blue cheese blend, chicken and a nice creamy sauce then baked. Which was amazing! While waiting on our food the owner sent over 2 different soups for me to try along with the salad I ordered with my meal. The salad was solid with a homemade dressing. The soups were both delicious but the chicken noodle was next level. One of the best chicken noodle soups I've ever had. I highly recommend. When nearing the end of our meal, the owner came by and chatted for a few and we were brought complementary small canolli. It was delicious too! For the most part Piccola's is a really good place to eat. We go there often. They have a very good wait staff, most are courteous and attentive. We have only had a couple bad experiences, but for the most part they have very good food.
