The staff went above and beyond to schedule the dog so that she could be done at one time and called me to pick her up as soon as she was done. I was really pleased with my experience here! We dropped our dogs off a little nervous (since we were in a new city) but when we picked them up, they were happy as ever! The staff was extremely friendly and kind as well! A feature we really loved is the light outside, it lets you know to wait outside while other dogs are in the lobby and it turns green when you are welcome in! I think this is so awesome as many dogs can be very anxious when going into a boarding facility. I would definitely use them again in the future! read more

We've boarded our dogs at Kingsmark since moving to town eight years ago, and they've always come back healthy and happy. We trust the staff and feel comfortable knowing that they'll do their utmost to provide the best possible care and make special arrangements when necessary. One of our dogs is anxious about grooming and separation due to a collapsed trachea, and Kingsmark went out of their way to accommodate him. Kala, the owner, listens as carefully as her staff, and is genuinely concerned ant gracious when it comes to Individual clients' needs. We left our 2 year old 100 lbs pup here and she had the best time. They took photos of her stay, gave a report card, and always monitored her sleeping and eating habits to share. Wonderful and loving place! We had to drop off our 6 month old Chi at the last min since our cabin didn't allow pets. They were very accommodating to our last min reservations and made Ollie feel right at home the moment he walked in. We even got the first night free. Ollie was happy and playful when we picked him up three days later and we were impressed with the pricing. We were told he ate and played well with the other puppies. The staff was warm, friendly, and asked us a lot of questions about him to make sure his stay was comfortable. We will always choose this place when we come back to Flagstaff. read more

We found out about Kingsmark Kennels when we visited Flagstaff several years ago. We were impressed with the kindness of the staff when we dropped our dogs off. Since then one of our dogs has passed away so we are left with an older rottie/lab mix named Ubu. We recently made the decision to drive to Flagstaff from Scottsdale to leave Ubu there for a few days even though we were staying in Sedona. When we picked her up she was happy and healthy. There has been several tragedies at Pet Boarding Resorts in North Scottsdale and Cave Creek so making a trip to Kingsmark in Flagstaff was a small price to pay for the peace of mind knowing Ubu was being cared for, walked and fed with love. So you adopt a rescue who feels out of place and has to work on getting the "norm" for his new family. No kids, both of the new parents work only 2 people and lots of energy. Solution Kingsmark Kennels Doggy Day Care.....Lola has been going there for approximately a year....she is the most sociable animal now with both humans and all other dogs. This Christmas she was in a house with 2 dogs about 1/4 her size...the playing began and she was as gentle and easy as the dogs could take...when they stopped she stopped......the ONLY place she could have learned all these manner is Kingsmark Doggy Daycare. Kind, caring, love animals.....never a bad experience and she gets a bath there once a month at the end of one of her stays...... Kingsmark tended to two of my dogs for two weeks recently while we were on vacation, and they did an awesome job! I loved seeing their pictures of Facebook and they were healthy, happy and clean upon return. Truly one of the most supreme dog centers that I have ever seen both in Flagstaff AND my hometown in Colorado! One of the most important things that I look for is having a staff that truly enjoys working with animals - I have seen too many centers that process dogs and show no emotion to them. Kingsmark Kennel certainly has set the gold standard for care! Like any dog lover and owner, you simply want your animal to be loved by everyone as much as you love them, Kingsmark absolutely accomplishes this. Every single staff member shows excitement and love to my dog and it truly warms my heart. In March, I had an emergency and needed my baby to be kenneled...that same day! Not only did they call my vet clinic themselves to receive my papers, they also sent me pictures and report cards of my dog every day to ease my worries! They also have someone available at the facility 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week to make sure nothing goes "bump in the night". At the time, my dog was very shy and was easily frightened by people, it took him a long time to get comfortable around others. Upon coming back, I noticed right away that he was at ease with this staff. I have been taking him to day care ever since then and truly noticed him getting more and more comfortable around people. Also having supervised play time with dogs his size makes him very comfortable around other dogs - he views EVERY animal as a friend! Kingsmark is providing him with a lot of social interaction and activity, he is one tired pup when he gets home! They also have an in house grooming salon. Cindy, the groomer, is an absolute doll and the only person in Flagstaff that I take my dog to. He has issues with his nails being touched, and she is the only one that is patient and caring enough to ensure that a good AND SAFE job is done! It is also a huge plus, that (usually) she is able to do it while he is at day care. They also have the cutest homemade treats shipped in from Canada, and on holidays offer the kenneled animals a "holiday feast". They currently have a Halloween Costume Contest going on (yes, I am totally entering). Overall, Kingsmark Kennels has completely enriched my dog's life, made me at ease with leaving him and is absolutely the ONLY dog center that I will trust and utilize in Flagstaff. We visit Flagstaff pretty regularly and we had our dog, Ranger, with us on this last visit. We were looking for a good place for Ranger to spend time while we attended an event. We found Kingsmark Kennels and went for a tour of the facility. All of the staff were very accommodating, pleasant, and knowledgeable. Their love for animals seems to radiate in all that they do. The appointed day came for us to drop Ranger off for the day and even though he had only been there once before, he was excited to be there. For you who have read my reviews regarding kennels, hotels and good eats in and around Flagstaff, you understand that I'm pretty picky about how our little furry family members are taken care of. That being said, after a completely traumatizing experience with Wags and Whiskers, I will never trust anyone other than Kingsmark kennels to take care of my little Babe. He's lived a long, healthy life for two reasons: The best food and the best medical care. Babe is 17 now and still looks like a puppy. He was in such excellent spirits when I picked him up. And the way that the staff talked about him, I could tell that they cared about his comfort and safety. I've never been to a more caring and loving kennel. I used to NOT go on vacation because I was so afraid of him being hurt or ignored. Now I can go to the MOON and not worry as long as he's in the care of Kingsmark kennels. Trust me. We have a Tibetian Mastiff 130lb puppy that has a lot of energy and our older dogs don't want to play with his enthusiasm. Knowing he needed to play with other dogs, we wanted to find a Doggie Day Care for him. After careful research and a glowing recommendation from our veterinarian, Dr. Ethridge, we decided to take Big Joe to Kingsmark. I'm so glad we found them! Not only does Big Joe LOVE it there, but the staff loves him too. We crack up when we drop him off because Big Joe gets so excited when we make the turn into the facility. I can truly tell he loves it! We take him there at least two times a week. When we pick him up, he's tired and happy. I can't thank them enough for loving him like we do and for taking such great care of him! I tell everyone I know about Kingsmark and what a difference they are making in his (and our!) life! This was my first time ever using a kennel so I asked around to co-workers and friends and got quite a few recommendations for Kingsmark. I was pleased with the whole experience from day one. They have a great website, were wonderful and informative on my first phone call to them and loved the free day of care for my dog prior to boarding. Our dog was there four nights and came back happy and healthy. I have just booked another, longer stay while I travel out of the country. We tried a few other places in town, decided to try Kingsmark when our rescue came home limping from another place. Kingsmark employees are friendly, professional, and always try to be accommodating to our hectic schedule. It's the first groomer that Merlin likes being dropped off at. They know him, are attentive to his special needs (he is scared of other dogs,) and treat him as they would their own pet. We have never had to kennel our guy, but I wouldn't trust him with anyone else in town. We love Kingsmark!!! read more
