Kingston Deli is your average, run of the mill Deli. Nothing fancy, nothing special. They have a selection of sandwiches, salads, wraps and breakfast items. My friend and I stopped in for lunch after a walk along the D&R canal, located 1/3 of the mile up the street. We ordered a Greek Salad, Veggie Wrap, and a side of chicken salad. My wrap was extremely bland and was mostly lettuce and mozzarella cheese; don't bother ordering it. My friends Greek salad was fresh, but just ok. I would recommend going with the chicken salad, which was actually quite tasty. They do use Boars Head meat for all their sandwiches, which is probably your best bet. Not impressed with the staff's half eaten chewed up bagel sitting on the same cutting board used to make our sandwiches. Any half descent health inspector would likely shut this place down. In the world of delis, Kingston Deli & Cafe is what you would classify as average. It has all the staples of a deli: sandwiches, chips, drinks, breakfast food and a small amount of seating. In terms of how the food is, that too is fairly average. I've come here on many occasions and everything from Italian hoagies to chicken salad sandwiches. The sandwiches are good, but nothing overly special, and the chicken salad I had wasn't very good at all. Aside from the food, I would judge a deli on their variety of options, for which there are plenty. Location wise the place isn't most convenient, nor is he parking situation. It's right on route 27 in Kingston and the parking is made up of a drive way that is usually cramped to the max, making parking sometimes a non starter. If they moved locations, I think this would definitely be a plus for them. So all in all, a decent place that's an option of convenience for people in the area. read more

Been going for years, it's a safe place to get a good sandwich, breakfast or lunch. Nice people, reliable food. Best egg sandwich around, for sure, especially if you're talking value for $$. It seems every time I go here, the price goes up 50 cents for their pork roll egg and cheese sandwich. I live across the street and now I have to find another place just out of principle. First few times I went there after I moved in town the sandwich was $3, few months later $3.50, and now I was charged $5.08 for a 99 cent Arizona green tea and pork roll egg and cheese sandwich. They were kind enough to forget the eight cents. Maybe because they charge different people different prices and profited an extra 42 cents because I only stop in once a month. No more now. Stopped in after a nearby appointment. This place is a charming with delicious inexpensive food. The owner is a very friendly and pleasant. Very cute cafe style with indoor and outdoor seating. Great deli selections along with munchies, drinks, coffee, fruit, and tempting home baked goods. Will definitely return. read more
