So yummy!!!!! What a beautiful array of pastries. Service was friendly and a great assortment of goods.

Being recommended by a family member couple times, so we decided to give it a try. Even though we did not have time to dine in, just ordered a sandwich ($17) to go. We were impressed once we got in the place, it's well decorated. It gives you an European style atmosphere. From the indoors decoration to plates used, you will enjoy every detail, guaranteed. We were jealous about the dine-in sandwich presentation as we were in a hurry, had to order to-go, but we definitely will visit it again to enjoy coffee and other stuff.

Met up with a friend to hang out and we originally went to another cafe and noticed the cafe was only pastries. So we decided to pivot and come to Maman and thank God we did. It was super busy but we were able to order and then find a table to sit at. I ordered the papa's breakfast bowl and it was delicious! Sooo good. We also ordered a pastry which I forgot the name of and it was so good. I always take a chocolate chip cookie from Maman to go which is always my late night treat. Love coming here because of how casual it is but also because the food is good!

Super busy in a Sunday morning, there is a parking garage but we chose street parking. Must pay at the space. Cute little college town. Service was great. Very loud in this restaurant with all the people inside. Food looked amazing but it was over a 45 minute wait for kitchen food.

Maman is gorgeous. The exact type of place you would expect in a town like Princeton. There's a good amount of seating inside and outside for you to sit and have your goods. However I can't live on vibes alone and the food was truly a mixed bag. This being my first time we ordered 4 pastries, 1 savory quiche , a coffee and a seasonal spritzer. Easily $50. I won't ever do that again. The sweets were good. The tea cake was delicious and the slice of citrus cake was really really good. My wife liked her coffee. The $10 quiche was horrible. I truly believed they used the fake eggs you get at a hotel breakfast buffet. The $10 spritzer was also a rip off. If I'd noticed the price beforehand I wouldn't have gotten it. The service was fine, it was busy and they were just trying to get through the admittedly long line so no complaints there. Come here for the vibes, just watch your wallet.

One of the rare places where you can experiment on a latte and have it turn out well. I remember ordering this latte with blueberry in it, speculating if they could execute it subtly enough that I would be able to enjoy it, and I was shocked at how delicious it was. The salmon in the croissant was amazing as well. It is a little hard to find a table due to volume but the ambience is wonderful. I highly recommend maman.

Maman coffee shop was a casual walk in visit when we were in the area. Excellent coffee, in fact one of the best I have tasted in recent times . I noticed the Coffee bags in the corner which was called Merci which I learned was an exclusive Maman medium blend roasted by Methodical Coffee from Greenville SC. The blueberry lavender crumb cake was heavenly. The subtly aroma and flavor of lavender while tasting a piece of the cake makes it fragrant and flavorful The pistachio croissant filled with pistachio cream was a smooth creamy treat with the hot coffee Cheerful bright and buzzing ambience with quick service . It's a huge dining area allowing for a crowd to dine in . There is a small outdoor section as well. The line moved quick for a weekend , they serve warm breakfast sandwiches too. It's a place that is inviting and fun for anyone who is a baked goods enthusiast like me . Come in early and enjoy your morning coffee and pastries . I am going back soon to try their Olive oil Orange loaf and the Kouign Maman .

Nice and spacious. First come first serve seating. Food is decent. Disappointed with the toast ($5 and the butter isn't even spreadable). Everything else was good tho. We got the potato special and salmon sandwich. Hazelnut latte was good too. Baby friendly with high chairs.

I've been to Maman in both New York in DC and was so excited to see that they have opened up a Princeton location. I think it's a great addition to the neighborhood however they could be better and I felt a bit letdown compared to the other locations. I have had. I had the avocado tartine with scrambled eggs, which was tasty especially with the added chili pepper flakes and salt. It was really difficult to get the chili pepper and the salt onto the actual dish given that it was just sprinkled on the serving platter. I had a vanilla iced latte, which was very yummy. They have an assortment of pastries and sweet treats which all look delicious but I did not try this time. The reason I felt let down was the service. We came in at 7:51 AM and they let us know that the kitchen would not open until eight so they only allowed us to order coffees at first. This is totally fine however someone came in a minute after us and was able to order food. Additionally, the man that took our order was not very friendly and came off a bit abrasive. I wish the service was a bit more friendly overall.. Interior is very nice with the white and blue decor . it's a lovely spot to sit and enjoy breakfast brunch or just a pastry.

We celebrated National Coffee Day at Maman while shopping in Palmer Square. This dreamy French coffee shop offers fresh baked pastries, sandwiches and more! We loved the Salted Tahini Honeycomb Latte & Chocolate Chip Cookie. Easy to see why this gorgeous spot was so busy but we were able to grab a table and the staff made sure everything was cleaned and well stocked. Plenty of on street parking and decks available.

I thought the service today was poor. Very poor. The thoughtlessness of allowing the door to slam in the face of a paying customer and then the next act which felt deliberate of placing the coffee in a to go cup rather than the requested cup for here followed by the floating whatever it was in my coffee made for an unpleasant experience. I love the ambiance of Maman but can you please find baristas who enjoy their job and the experience of allowing someone to feel welcomed when they have entered the establishment.

    nutella beignet
    Meryam A.

I didn't personally visit Maman, but my SIL picked up a Nutella beignet for me, and I was so excited to try it. First off, the packaging was beautiful--thoughtfully done and very aesthetic, which I appreciated. But let's be real, I was hungry, so I tore into it immediately. The beignet itself was light, airy, and fluffy, which I loved. But here's where things fell short--I was expecting Nutella, and as I chowed down halfway through, I still hadn't hit any. Finally, past the halfway mark, I got a tiny bit of filling, but it was so sparingly spread that it was honestly disappointing. Maybe I just got a bad batch, and I'd be open to giving them another try, but based on this experience, it didn't quite live up to my chocolate filled expectations.

Best Soufflé Pancakes ever!…read more Now that I've actually been to Japan I can honestly say I crave these pancakes more than the ones I had overseas! These pancakes are more fluffier and eggier (I think that's a legit word, LOL), and super rich! If you don't like eggs, don't visit because there is a lot of eggy flavor. I've tried the two dominant flavors, Matcha and Strawberry, and I can't tell which one I like better. The light cream topping is better than any butter or maple syrup I've ever had. There is usually one more flavor that they change from time to time as well which I've heard is great. Going on the weekday avoids the wait. The abnormal hours of operation don't make it easy to visit but if you do you'll definitely enjoy. Book the table on Yelp!

J S Foodies is the latter, a small and cheerful outpost of Tokyo imagination where breakfast behaves like theater. I arrived with my boys and my father in law, a man celebrating another year of survival in a universe that has not yet figured out how to improve pancakes. The space is small, and the famous Kiseki pancakes take their time, about twenty to thirty minutes, as if they are being persuaded into existence rather than cooked. These Kiseki pancakes are not pancakes in the American sense. They are soufflé style creations, tall and trembling, as if gravity is only a suggestion. They arrive airy and delicate, with a gentle jiggle that suggests optimism. We ordered accordingly. I had the lemon ricotta, which tasted like sunlight had been filtered through dairy. My oldest chose matcha, green, purple and quietly sophisticated and complex. My youngest went with the original maple, a classic executed so well it made the classics feel new again. All were excellent, the sort of food that makes conversation pause because mouths are busy being grateful. My father in law ordered what I personally considered a cautious breakfast. Regular pancakes with eggs and bacon. A meal that could have been assembled in any roadside diner between here and forever. Yet even this was handled with care. The eggs were perfect, the bacon honest, the pancakes dignified. No irony, no shortcuts. Yes, the prices are a little steep. But this is not a place for routine nourishment. This is a place for occasions, for birthdays, for reminding yourself that breakfast can aspire to something like art. Five stars, because sometimes the world surprises you by getting something exactly right.

And before I forget, the food... almost matching the service which is saying something. I absolutely loved the Restaurant Week Hangar Steak and Tomato Bisque with a finger sandwich of grilled cheese and lobster. Tastes that I'm unlikely to replicate as I return to the assorted diners and dives that are not privy to the safe harbor of witness protection and the unwashed remnants of the one percent. Damn. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Wrap, which was excellent, packed with chicken and very filling. I ended up taking half home because it was both generous and delicious. The side salad was also surprisingly good. We ended up returning later for happy hour, which takes place in the room to the right of the hostess stand. I highly recommend stopping by for drinks and bites if you're in the mood for classic cocktails and solid food. Happy hour is first come, first served and limited to the bar only (around 15 seats total). We arrived right when it started, and when we left about 40 minutes later, the bar was about half full. There was a young lady sitting in the corner in the phone telling us that there were no seats if we didn't have a reservation. Not the most polite but whatever. We went back to the bar and got a table. Why are bar tables always so sticky?! Anyhoo, we just missed the Happy Jour menu but it was only a $1-2 discount (except for the burger: $4). Service was pleasant and attentive. The food was overpriced for sitting in a bar. $30 for a bowl of ramen! (I don't know how it tastes but it's $17 across the street.) $22 for a burger and fries! $10 for two little bao with a single shrimp in each! Ok, that's not too bad since Bao is generally overpriced for some reason but I could have gotten more than one shrimp. Unfortunately, the price did not reflect the quality. My friend who got the ramen said it was in the bottom 25% he's ever had. My burger was pretty good but the bun was toasted and brittle and made an unnecessary mess. The fries--personal preference--I don't like skinny fries. As for the bao, the shrimp was too salty. I liked the finishing salt but the flavoring salt was too heavy. Also, it was drizzled with aioli and I couldn't pick it up and eat it like the sandwich it was. Overall, a disappointment. Mediocre food and an elevated price for no reason.

End of the meal, our family's spirits fell flat, but we still sang and celebrated sans the petty candle. Now on to the food and drinks... Mocktails were delicious, colorful, and eye-catching . We tried all 3 on the menu and loved it. Appetizers galore filled our table ... Bang Bang cauliflower had a medley of sweet & sour flavors. Hummus pita board - Warm grilled pita was a table favorite with the small portion of hummus and fresh crisp veggies. Harvest salad - crisp lettuce, feta cheese, walnuts, poached and fresh sliced pear, cucumbers, and watermelon radish with rose vinaigrette made this extra special. Crispy calamari - great pairing with pickled veggies and arugula basil aioli. We ordered an assortment of entrees with all seafood choices .
