One side had a king bed, and the other had a pull-out couch with a table and chairs. Both rooms had their own bathrooms, which was actually a huge win. Ladies... you know how nice it is to have your own bathroom while traveling. He used one, I used the other. Zero sharing. The absolute best part? They are SO dog friendly. They provide bowls and dog beds, and they even give your pup treats. It made traveling with our dog feel easy and welcome. Location-wise, you really can't beat it. It's right across from the Village and the closest lift is the Tram, which is a huge plus when you're clunking around in ski boots. Being that close makes ski mornings (and afternoons) so much easier. We had a mini fridge in the room, and you can rent a microwave for $25 for the stay -- totally worth it for us. The front desk staff was amazing. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They gave great recommendations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and even offered road safety tips when we were heading out. The hotel also has a restaurant/bar on-site that's open Thursday through Monday. We were able to eat there one night and it was delicious. My only complaint? I wish it were open seven days a week! Another great perk for skiers: they'll hold your skis behind the front desk, which is such a convenient touch. We can't wait to come back. Perfect spot for a ski trip -- especially if you're bringing your dog along.

Be warned though, that the staff at the pool/hot tub area are extremely strict to the point of being rude. As you walk in they approach you & want your unit info right away (which I have no problem with). I took my kids in the hot tub & the lady working in the pool area quickly told me the kids only have 10 min every hour then they need to get out. We said,'ok.' My kids asked me if they can use their 10 minutes in 2 separate 5 min sessions. I told them they could. When we went back into the hot tub (what would have been their 6th minute) the pool lady told me in a harsh voice they needed to get out right away. I explained to her they hadn't used their full 10 min yet and her reply in a mean voice was,"I am going to be timing them!" It scared my kids & left a very bad taste in our mouth. Different people have warned me about the pool staff at Forest Pines but experiencing it first hand was very upsetting.

We arrived on Friday night a little late, but it was not an issue even though check in time was 4pm. We were greeted by the most friendly front desk person. She made us feel welcome. This is an older hotel and a little rustic, but we loved it. Our suite was on the 2nd floor over looking the beautiful Olympic valley. Even though we were next to the pool and hot tub, it was fairly quiet. Unlike other hotels we stayed at, the walls were thick and we could not hear our neighbors next door or people outside. The only gripe I had about this place is that they did not provide breakfast. I can't remember the last time we stayed at a hotel and no continental breakfast. Luckily the Olympic village was across the street and we had coffee and pastry which by the way cost an arm and a leg. Once we got done with breakfast, we took the tram to the top of the mountain and walked around for a couple hours and headed back down. The next time we are back in Olympic village in the summer months we will hiked to the top and take the tram back down. Also, the next time we are back here we will definitely bring stuff to make breakfast, lunch and dinner since this was a furnished suite with all the amenities we needed. We will definitely stay here when we are back in the area. Highly recommend.

Olympic Valley Inn hosts fun events on many nights of the week, and they text you to let you know. The inn is right around the corner from Palisades Tahoe ski resort so the location is very convenient. The absolute BEST part of my stay and the best thing about the inn is the staff. When I arrived, I was going through something difficult, and the staff was incredibly kind to me. The employees are extremely kind, friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, bright, professional, and hard-working. Special thanks to Faviola, Gillian, Loren, and Brit who are AMAZING. These are some of the highest quality people you will ever meet at any hotel or in life. I HIGHLY recommend Olympic Valley Inn.
