Yes, he straight up lied, he knew he was lying and we were sure to tell him he lied and we'll never do business with him or that store again. Back story: We bought my son, 14yrs old, his first suite 2yrs ago and while looking at options the salesman showed us a suite style that would grow with my son. Specifically, he said this style was a classic, staple with J.A.B., had been in the J.A.B. collection forever and was going to continue to be in the collection forever. The salesman said, "get this type of suite because you can come back and just replace the coat or pants, as he grows." I spent a little more money thinking, this is great... The salesman specifically said J.A.B. will allow you to just buy the coat or pants to replace what he has outgrown, and I can promise you this style will be available. Well, today we walked in knowing we just needed to replace the pants and as soon as the same salesman saw the suite he immediately said "we don't carry that suite anymore." I wasn't sure if it was the same salesman that sold us the suite - but it was... Me and my son both recognized him, he's the main salesman we've always seen. He tried to weasel out of it, saying he never said that, but we both knew it was him and both remember exactly the point, "we will have this style for a long time." - which was a lie.... I wish I had gotten his name to put him in blast because I am so disappointed.... I was so hoping to find a store to establish a relationship with, for repeat business, but this is so disappointing.... We will never do business with that store or Joseph A Bank again. I am a long time customer of both Casual Male and Destination XL brands. I stopped into this location tonight and it was a complete train wreck. The store was a mess, items not folded, tables not recovered, items on the shelf have been unfolded and just stuffed back on the shelf. You can tell no one in this store cares about customer perception or protecting the brand image. I was not greeted when I came in. There was one other customer in the store toward the back working with a female employee. There was a male behind the cash wrap doing nothing but standing around, dressed horribly, eating chips or some kind of snack out of a bag. I added a picture to this review. I took a picture of the guy he was in no way shape or form dressed or behaving the way an employee of the brand should be especially in a fashion retail establishment. I began looking for the shirt I needed for the next day as the one I had was ruined by something on the iron at the hotel. No one ever came to ask if I needed help. I even used the step stool on the floor to climb on top of to reach the shirts I wanted to check sizes on and still no one offered to help. I then found two shirts I wanted to see how they fit as I was already wearing a GS dress shirt I wanted to see if these fit the same. I asked the young lady for a fitting room explaining I was not sure which size would be best and she politely took me over to a fitting room. Nether her nor the male offered to take a measurement or any discussion around my uncertainty for size. I tried on the shirts and then came out to look for one additional size. There was no one else was in the store at this time. They were both behind the cashwrap talking about the conference call the next day and how they were told they better not be any more than 5 min late...etc etc. I found the other shirt on my own returned to the fitting room and decided on a shirt. I went to the register and the young lady began to ring me up. She was polite enough and noticed I was from Texas near where she was from and tried to make a connection. I was not really interested in having a conversation at this point so I politely commented back and completed my purchase. The male continued to stand behind the cashwrap area in his white t-shirt eating chips. The young lady was trying to make an effort but there is clearly a lack of leadership in this location, lack of attention to detail, and very poor customer service. I would never return to this location and would not recommend anyone else I know to them.

checked into the men's department to purchase a sports coat , belt and shirts. was unable to find…read morean associate to help. finally, i found one associate working. i had assisted myself and made my selections. when i attempted to check out there was a line, probably because she was the only associate. i went to the men's fragrance department since there were no customers there and two associates. i asked if they could process my charges. without looking up from checking their phones both the male and female associate told me the other associate was supposed to do that. as i stand here in line with others, they continue on their phones.
