Here is the short quick review: This company is great and the quality is AWESOME! The work was completed in an almost impossible turnaround time and did not lack the quality. Kevin is easily reached by phone, text and email. He will explain the best process for your project. Lastly the prices were very competitive. Kinky Kontrol accepts all of the "future" pay options like Paypal and Venmo. Detailed review: My first interaction with Kevin was via email. It was the most informative email regarding the T-shirt process making for what I needed done in a VERY SHORT turn around. What I was asking for was next to impossible for everyone else. And because Kevin said he COULD do it, I was VERY skeptical about it. Once I decided Kevin with Kinky Kontrol was my guy I came armed with all of my previous projects to show him what I did not want. Silk Screen, Press on, patch on, iron on...I don't know all the technical terms but I do know I had one previous QUALITY print and some that were super crappy and I wanted to avoid super crappy. I asked him his hours and he told me for THE DAY I was speaking to him. I decided to show up during these said hours the next day and upon arrival I get there and he was not open. My fault his hours vary as he is a small business and works hours days and nights to get the job done and 99 percent of his orders are completed online and people only come for an arranged pickup time or have a delivery. I read the bad reviews first when I am trying to find a place to do business with and there was one for Kinky Kontrol. I will agree, finding the place is a little difficult and it may seem a little apprehensive going into this unmarked door which you then realize is a HUGE warehouse with multiple factory type businesses sharing the building and that is why there is no large signage outside. We all know small businesses in the later 2000's era all use cell phones and even will use text messaging as an option. Get a voicemail? I did...I left a message and received a prompt call back. Once I found out the shop is not manned daily due to delivery and supply pick up etc, I KNEW for the future I would simply reach out to find out about business hours. For what he does, it doesn't necessarily make sense to have regulated walk in business hours. No matter what the hours say Kevin is available to speak to you at any time. Upon my arrival to the work space you can tell...printing is EXACTLY what they do. It looks like the typical t-shirt print shop in creative disarray. Went here as I wanted good printed quality shirts, and I preferred it to be local to LA. After some searching I ended up with Kinky Kontrol, and I'm happy I did. All my contact with Kevin has been through email or text, and he was always very quick to answer and clear in what he could and couldn't do. He helped me with shirt brand choice, and was honest in his opinions and about what he could do. I picked up the shirts and was really pleased with how they came out, it was a 3 colour design and the colours matched the design and where all in the right places. Kevin was very friendly and helpful when I met him, which was what I expected (and hoped) from the email contact we had. The real quality test came when I got home, as the shirts were a present for my husband, who has a very critical eye (somewhere in the past he worked for a printer, and to this day he'll still spot errors in bad print jobs). But he was impressed as well, immediately commented on the quality of the print and that it was a very good job. Shirts fit perfectly and feel great. Without Kevin's input I wouldn't have gotten the shirts that I've got now, and I'm very glad I went to him for this job. read more

I haven't ordered any merchandise from him, but I can tell you about the quality in the towels and buttons he makes. I have a Gazette towel and a few buttons that Kinky Kontrol made and they are top quality. The print on the towel hasn't faded and the color is bright. He made these towels for The Gazette's recent tour "Live Tour 19 THE NINTH: PHASE" VIP ticket holders. The buttons I own are from his Skapeche Mode band and other cute prints. The images on the buttons have good color, the buttons are well made and I accidentally washed a few of them in a full load and nothing happened to them. I've met him a few times at gigs as well and he's the nicest dude you'll ever meet. Super energetic and funny. If you check out his instagram account you'll also see how much his other customers love his work. He also has sales almost every month and seems to accomodate any type of project size in those sales as well. read more

Pretty sure this place is fake or a front for something else. Don't waste your time. I called to confirm they are open the hours they claim to be, person who answered sounded stoned but he (might've been a she to be honest) assured me they were. Should've been my first tip off but I was desperate to get last minute shirts made and they said they could do it. I go the next night, couldn't find the place so I called. A guy answered and sounded like he was going to help me find the place but then the call dropped. I called back and got the machine.
