Down to earth vibe in this coffee shop with communal seating inside. Some outdoor seating available. My pour over coffee with almond milk was refined and quite good. I had my first ever everything croissant with cream cheese inside. The service was friendly and efficient. I'll be back to try more of their coffee and baked goods.

I recently popped into Kinship Coffee to get some studying done. It seems like I wasn't alone; other folks (as in one other person and my friend) were also hitting the books. However, there's a one-hour time limit, which is a bit of a bummer if you're planning on a marathon study session (though I'm not sure how strictly they enforce this since we didn't stay that long). On the plus side, I definitely appreciated the free WiFi. It made staying productive a lot easier. That said, I did end up with a headache, which I think was due to the strong scent in the air. It was a bit overwhelming. Overall, Kinship Coffee has a nice vibe for a quick study session, but be prepared for the time limit. Will definitely come back to try their drinks though -- seems like people typically have good things to say about this place!

Iced Latte (~$6): with lavender (75¢) and oat milk (50¢)

Ordered: Iced Latte (~$6): with lavender (75¢) and oat milk (50¢) Aya's take: I really like this location of Kinship as it's close to Astoria Park, has indoor and outdoor seating, and most importantly - the coffee is bomb! An Iced Oat Lavender Latte is my go-to order at most coffee shops and I have to say, Kinship did it so right. It was creamy and rich with just the right amount of lavender. Absolutely loved it and will be back when I need a caffeine kick and find myself back in the area.

Service is quick and the folks behind the counter work quick. There is plenty of seating and even had chairs outside for this unreasonably warm (and rainy) day. Plus - they have REAL CUPS! Such a great little perk then always drinking out of to go cups. Feels real homey.

I quite like this shop! They have cuppings of their espresso every monday, that I haven't gone to yet but I love the idea. I've tried a decaf oat flat white, a tea, and their "Winter Tonic." Amazing! The winter tonic was really really good, even with decaf espresso. All of the baristas have been very kind thus far and I loved how spacious and cozy the interior was. Will definitely be coming back.

Like fancy coffee? Addicted to caffeine? Visit Kinship! I've *only* been here mornings (and many times), so I can't comment on how the cafe is later in the day. But if you're here early? There's usually free seats (including on their patio) and plenty of natural light. If I were a cat, I'd curl up on the floor with an espresso. Besides espressos, I love their pourovers and cortados. Recommended if you're a fan of either. Credit accepted. No loyalty card, sadly. But even without one, I'm still loyal to them! FYI: there are at least two Kinship Coffees in Astoria - this review is for the one near Astoria Park.

Whenever I need a good walk, I end up heading to this location of kinship coffee. The cafe is spacious, and has some great baristas! I really enjoy their chili cheese danish and croissants - has a nice kick. Staff are pleasant and sure know how to make a tasty decaf, which isn't always achievable.

Cute coffee shop with a cute aesthetic (love that they name their plants) and good wifi. I've only tried the maple cold brew and I think it's delicious, Strong but not overpowering. The hot chocolate is good. I've stopped by and have worked here, service has always been kind and quick. I can only comment for early afternoon times, I'm not sure how the morning rush might be like.

Kinship serves up one of the best coffees in the neighborhood the place is big and clean with lots of seating making it a great place to go to work on the laptop or just relax with friends . They offer up a punch card so your 10th coffee is free ! Staff is always pleasant and coffee is always perfect I personally love the lavender latte with oat milk

Clean, LOFI, spacious. Service was quick, kind, and informative. Coffee, tea and pastries available. Pet friendly Wheelchairs accessible Great place to sit and chill

Nice cafe -with friendly staff -but disorganized service, We came here last Sunday for a hot brew and herbal tea. We were in line and were told someone was in front of us. It wasn't worth arguing about. We wanted to order tea and coffee that we could get immediately and asked for recommendations that didn't take 15 mins or more. Nevertheless, service was slow and disorganized, and it took far longer to place and receive than it should have done at any other compatible cafe. The cafe has tables, restrooms, and communal seating with free wi-fi, but they are not worth a second visit for me! I will not be back!

Great spot! Came here on a Saturday morning to read my book. Ordered the Ham & Cheese Croissant and an Oat Milk Latte. Both were great. I was pleasantly surprised with a live jazz trio playing while I was there. Great way to start my Saturday morning. Will definitely be back!

They have a table to pickup preorders so you don't have to wait in the main line. I ordered a dozen for $39. You can select your assortment. Here's my review in order from the best to the least desirable, according to our group. Vanilla custard- the filling was thick and speckled with vanilla beans. It wasn't too sweet. This was the best according to our group. Strawberry filled- this is most traditional and Breads Bakery does a nice job. The jam is homemade. Pistachio- this doughnut was filled with smooth pistachio cream and was topped with a few pieces of pistachio. Not traditional, but they did a good job. Chocolate- the filling tasted like a semisweet or bittersweet cream/custard. Like the others, it was smooth. The vanilla was more popular among our group and I personally didn't love this doughnut. Mango- this was the one that those in my group felt missed the mark. It wasn't cloyingly sweet, so that was good, but the filling didn't do anything for us either. If you're looking for a mango dessert the one at Lysée is a real winner.

When I moved to the UES, I was worried finding a new local roaster. I've had bad experiences where the beans are too oily or something is off that messes with my usually grind size/extraction time. No issues with Oslo's beans. 2. They actually know how to make a proper americano. Every coffee shop takes a standard cup, puts in the espresso shot, and then fills hot water to the brim of the cup. This destroys the flavor of the espresso. You end up with hot water that tastes slightly like coffee. Oslo chooses quality over quantity. They don't fill the water up to the brim, so you have a cup with 2/3 of liquid; however, this is a proper americano. You can taste the difference. At other shops, I just get drip coffee because they don't know what they're doing. Oslo knows what they're doing. That's why I come here.

That said, the dishes we did order were good and well prepared. The space itself is nice: the front functions as a cute coffee shop, while the back has tables for sit-down dining.
