I'm confused, because how can they have good coffee and food. Seriously, both the food and drinks that I've had here, including desert is superiorly good. I mean I've visited many a cafe before but I've found that either the drinks are really tasty or the food is really great, but not both. I also like that Sweetleaf offers options for all types of food preferences, and taste buds. What I also really like about the place is that they have multiple options for seating, including both indoor and outdoor seating, sofas, barstools and regular chairs, which again allows for multiple options - so whatever your preference for seating, they've got it. The vibe of the place is very chill with everyone doing their own thing. Plus the service is quick, and efficient. Lastly, the WiFi is easy to connect to and was hassle-free in my opinion.

Needed some caffeine after a semi-long day. Got the rocketfuel which they have on tap. It's not too sweet which I appreciated. Filled to the brim. Reminded me a lot of the New Orleans at Blue Bottle. The amount of caffeine definitely packed a punch. I wasn't able to sleep until very late that day. I can see this being a good work spot. They have wifi, and on the weekends there were plenty of tables.

Not sure how I haven't reviewed Sweetleaf yet, but it's definitely an LIC institution (with another location on Center Blvd near the waterfront). Haven't had the pastries just yet, but they look delectable. My go-to drink order is the Rocket Fuel, which is cold brew + chicory maple syrup + milk. I usually get it with a little less syrup (because...calories), but it's the perfect combo of pep and treat. Staff is super super nice, and the atmosphere is very chill and welcoming. Good stuff all around!

I remember when LIC was first becoming more hip and up and coming, Sweetleaf was always a place you'd want to try while you were there. Finally went again after a very long time and my lavender latte was PERFECT. Staff is very nice and it's a no frills down to earth serious about coffee kind of place.

This place is for sure one of the best coffee shops I've visited. The vibes are more grunge and there's all types of seating available - from a sofa to individual tables. The barista was so nice and the service was quick. And ofc, the coffee was amazing ( I enjoy something with a strong flavor and not too sweet), as well as the carrot cake. The only downside is the lack of chargers, but I'd still love to visit again!

Stopped by to get a black cold brew. It's a small cozy cafe but it's nice to sit when the weather is nice since their front windows are open. There's also additional seating in the back.

First of all, an underrated aspect of Sweetleaf is that you can use it on your GPS to find the Pulaski Bridge. Second of all, this place is a neighborhood institution. It's the embodiment of the gentrification of Queens, good and bad. It's a great coffee shop that typifies hipster culture - from the bearded baristas to the trust fund kids "working" on their laptops. Enjoy!

Delicious iced latte at ~$5 a cup. Lots of space to sit and do work. They also serve food (sushi?) Which was pretty interesting. Down to come back and try out their food!

    Do they serve alcohol?

Not at the Jackson Ave location. They do offer it at their Center blvd location.

Wanted to write this review based on the wheelchair accessibility and laptop areas…read more There are coffee shops in the neighborhood with laptop rules that say you have to sit at the high tables. Obviously as a wheelchair user, I cannot sit at the high tables, and when I have asked the staff for understanding, other places have denied me. Ines let me use my laptop at a wheelchair accessible table without any fuss. Mark was very gracious. When I asked, he said, "we will make an exception." I felt heard without advocating for common sense and I greatly appreciate the humility. Thank you!

The escargot was covered with pesto that tasted like the basil wasn't fresh. Also, I'm sure there was plenty of garlic because the restaurant smelled like it, but I would have liked more garlic in this dish. The meatballs were mostly bread (there may have been some meat). After we complained, the item was removed from our bill by our friendly, polite, and conscientious server. Note: This is a French restaurant, but they didn't have any butter for the bread.

The 2 of us split 3 pastas: the Truffle Gnocchi (my favorite item of the evening), the Cacio e Pepe (one of the best renditions of this dish I've had!) and the Rigatoni Alla Diavola. I would skip the focaccia if I came back - loved the butter but it was nothing special. 10/10!

Unfortunately, it was totally bland and not large at all. The side sauce added nothing and over 30$ with tax/tip. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta and the guazzetto di Pesci. The pasta was good. Reasonable amount of pasta but we would have liked some more chunks of lobster for the price. I thought the sauce was only ok but my girlfriend liked it. The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. It came with a hard outer candy shell and a very small cookie center that was sweet and delicious. Overall, an average meal at best that we both felt was lacking in taste and size. Won't return.
