I have called Nina Yegany at Ciao Bella a Master Colorist and Stylist for nearly 20 years. I noticed a friend's gorgeous haircuts for a couple years before finally asking, "who does your hair" and she said... Nina! So I called her. Kristie did my hair today and I feel AMAZING!! She is so welcoming, so nice and so talented! I was nervous about getting a cut cause I'm trying to grow it out but she reassured me that a nice trim would be good for the health of my hair and growing it out longer. I did a straight across in the back and she suggested tapering a little in the front. I wasn't sure cause I have very fine hair but she said it would have good shape so I went for it and I'm so glad I did! It looks SO GOOD!! I love how much body I have and how fresh it feels. Oh she also suggested a hair brush that would help with easy styling. She's actually moving to a new location but the best part is that it's in the exact same area. Literally the same parking lot but new location, it's called the W suites. I don't even have to drive to new place, so convenient. Went to get my hair done by Terry Nix. My hair was in such terrible condition, mostly due to health issues and over doing my own home coloring‍. Terry was absolutely wonderful, she was so easy to talk to and gave me hope that we can get on a " road " to hair recovery without shaving my whole head, which i was so desperate and close to doing. She worked on my hair for over 4 hours, taking time to explain each step and each product that she was applying. Women know what our hair means to us, and for me, I always had lots of it . The emotional toll was great , I didn't want to wear wigs , especially in such hot weather. I love the cut, and color and most importantly I finally have hope that my hair is on a road to recovery and I have a fantastic hair dresser now!! Mary Sears is a fantastic stylist. I first met her three years ago when I moved to the Bay Area for school. In that time she has kept my hair beautifully highlighted and nicely cut. Not only is she a pro at hair, she also cares about her clients. She taught me many tricks over the years to help me style my hair the way I wanted. And, she even remembered my graduation by giving me a bottle of my favorite Moroccan Oil on my last visit with her! I'm sad to leave the Bay Area and Mary now that I'm finished with school. My review is not so much for Ciao Bella but for stylist, Ashley Clements who works there. Ashley has been my stylist for about 3 years and I think she is wonderful! She is so good that I drive four hours just to have her do my hair! Ashley is the perfect hair stylist: she's professional, positive, personable, easy to talk to (& not too chatty), drama-free, patient, accommodating, & most importantly, she is an excellent colorist & stylist. Terrible place. Went in with a couple questions as the phone number is off the hook or they just don't answer. Waited at the front desk for help for about 10 minutes while in plain view of most all hair dressers. Suggest you go somewhere else as service stinks at this place. The salon itself is elegant but the best part of Ciao Bella is Wendy Blanton, the hair stylist .Color is her specialty and she is excellcent at it. She fits the hair style to the person, and her very special trick is her shampoos. She has magic fingers. Everyone will tell you so. She can relax you right in the shampoo bowl. I have been going to Cynthia Chabre at Ciao Bella for hair for close to 10 years. She is fantastic! She listens to what you want (and I've done many different things with my hair over the years), never giving you negative feedback. She works with you to come up with the perfect hair cut/color/high&low lights for the right price. Cynthia is VERY down to earth, has a great sense of humor and can usually fit you in if you call her a week in advance. She recently did my hair for my wedding day and I was very happy. My Mom has been going to the Owner Sharen for years and repeatedly she has been burned with the curling iron leaving welts on her head. Sharen charges a fortune to snip my Mom's short hair and it's disgraceful that she doesn't even notice when she burns her head. She is so quick to turn and burn the next client. It's really sad that she has no common courtesy when it comes to this. I feel bad that my poor Mom won't speak up and say anything so I have to write a review on yelp. I wish Sharen carried for her frequent local clients even the ones she doesn't have to do a lot to please! read more
