This is my new favorite Ramen spot in the Triangle! We got multiple different kinds of Ramen, the broth was delicious, and the meat was perfectly cooked. We also got a couple of the appetizers, which were delicious. They offer a couple meal combos, which in my opinion is worth the price, especially if you want to try multiple things. Service was a little bit slow, so I would plan for extra time.

The food here was OUTSTANDING. I highly recommend this place. The service was impeccable. The options were endless. Fantastic space, open and airy, great view of the Sushi Bar, very clean. Anytime I'm in the area we will be eating here. It's our new favorite ramen & sushi place!

Really solid sushi and ramen spot. We ordered the tantan ramen, chirasu bowl and three tacos. The shrimp tempura taco was great, and my daughter loved the avocado and tuna one. Great portion of meat in the taco. Prices were fair based on portions. Tantan ramen was good, just enough spice. And the portion size is huge. Only thing I wanted was a bit more veggies as there is so much pork provided! Service was great. Waitress was nice, food came out quick, hostess were friendly - very warm environment. Everything was clean, organized and seemed to be a well-run restaurant.

We finally made it to Kinya Ramen in Durham this weekend, and we loved it. Next to Harris Teeter and across from Sprouts it sits at 202 West NC Highway 54. We started with miso soup and kimchi. Both were simple and very tasty. The ramen was very satisfying, and even the protein bowl was superb. What impressed us the most was the service from the moment we walked in. The front counter team moved efficiently, and genuinely friendly, to get everyone seated at a table or the Sushi bar without issues. Our server, Jared, was outstanding. He guided us through the menu, checked in at the right times, and made the whole meal feel cared for. We left grateful for Jared's attention. We'll absolutely be back. Kinya Ramen in Durham is one of our new favorite spots.

Kinya is the newest ramen spot on the block! I do feel like when it comes to casual ramen, this place is a great option in Durham specifically. I got the Ramen Combo with Tonkotsu Ramen and Shrimp Tempura, which is a really good deal because the appetizer is full-size. The Tempura were huge, perfectly crispy, and filled with tender shrimp. The Ramen was pretty standard: good amount of toppings (spring onion, black fungus, fish cake), decent noodles and broth (not as deep in flavor as I'd like it, but fine overall), and adequate chashu (on the thinner side, not as tender or fatty as I prefer). I asked for chili paste on the side, which my server provided for free. Also, they had forgotten the egg on my ramen, which was immediately corrected when I brought it up. Ambiance is really nice, very modern-feeling: I came with a party of 10 people so we were placed in one of the private rooms in the back (where karaoke is also an option if you provide them enough notice!). Service was friendly and fast. There's lots of parking up front. I would recommend calling ahead to make a reservation, especially on weekends, because it gets pretty busy. 8/10 would recommend, so comforting on a cold winter day!

Kinya Ramen recently opened, so a large group of friends and I decided to check it out! We showed up right when they opened, and the space is really nice--plenty of seating and even two private rooms for bigger groups. Even though we were the only people there, we got a bit of pushback when we asked for a table and were told we should've made a reservation, which felt a little strange given how empty it was, but they did seat us eventually. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. I thought it was okay, but the portion felt smaller than I expected for the price, and nothing about it really stood out. Service was friendly but definitely slow. If I'm already in the area and craving ramen, I might stop by again, but with all the solid ramen spots in the Triangle, this wouldn't be my first choice.

    Tonkotsu Ramen w/ Pork

Was excited to try this new ramen spot in Durham! I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen which was a standout - the broth was incredibly rich and flavorful without being too salty. The noodles and pork were tender and together with the flavors/textures of the bamboo shoots, black fungus and boiled egg were just all so delicious. We also tried the soy garlic wings appetizer as part of the ramen combo ($24 total) - it came with 6 wings which were overall crispy on the outside. They were a touch dry but the taste of the soy garlic sauce (which was sweet) came together nicely. Would return just for the ramen which was the perfect meal for a winter day! Our server was super friendly and attentive. We had a party of 10 and were sat in a more private room in the back. Our ramen orders ultimately were brought out at variable times so there was a bit of waiting in between but I understand that sometimes happens with large parties. Recommend making a reservation as they were quite busy on a Saturday evening!

Kinya just opened in Durham and it is already a standout. The space feels modern and stylish with clean lines, warm lighting, and sleek wood and stone finishes that strike a perfect balance between upscale and welcoming. There's a clear attention to detail in everything from the decor to the plating. It's the kind of place that works for a casual dinner or a special night out, and the energy inside feels fresh and vibrant. The service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Thoughtful recommendations, quick refills, and genuine hospitality made the entire experience seamless and warm. Now let's talk about the food. Everything we had was delicious. The Tonkotsu Ramen was the star of the meal. The broth was rich, deep, and flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly toothsome with just the right bite. Toppings like black fungus, bamboo shoots, scallions, and the soft-boiled egg all came together beautifully. This is easily one of the best bowls of ramen I've had in the area. We also tried the Takoyaki, which were crispy on the outside and creamy inside with tender bits of octopus. A great small plate to start. The Durham Roll was loaded with flavor and texture, tempura shrimp, crab salad, seared tuna, avocado, and more, all topped with aioli and eel sauce. It was rich but balanced, and a great representation of the menu's creativity. To drink, I had the Lychee Fruit Tea with Boba, and it was so refreshing. Light, floral, and just sweet enough, with high-quality boba that had a nice chew. Kinya is a fantastic addition to Durham. Whether you're craving ramen, sushi, or small plates, this place delivers.

Both spicy and kinya ramen with pork were great. Really enjoyed the kick in the spicy. Guava mango flute was refreshing and cool to eat after a hot bowl of ramen.

Amazing place my family and I we really enjoy it. The food delicious price is a little bit high , but it was good though.

The food was incredible! We ordered the chicken, steak & shrimp hibachi along with the Godzilla roll, and everything was delicious. The Godzilla roll was honestly one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had! Our server, Amanda, was absolutely wonderful--so sweet, attentive, and efficient throughout the entire meal. She made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

They had two vegan options, and my partner & I both got the Biang Biang noodles. It was good, and perhaps even better the next day (the serving was big enough that I couldn't finish it). My sister got the Jjajiang Mian & absolutely loved it. This was a very positive experience, but not mindblowing--I think that the hype around the "M" restaurants perhaps raised my expectations a bit too much. It's also possible that their non-vegan options are stronger than their vegan options. Overall, though, very yummy, the prices are very reasonable for Durham ($16 for the Biang Biang noodles), and I would come back & try the veggie curry if given the chance.

I was disappointed however when they told me they are currently out of the vegan udon curry dish, which was 1/2 items I could eat. Nevertheless, I ordered the other dish, Biang Biang Noodles. The store was not full, there were two servers and at least 3 tables that were empty but the wait time to get my single dish or noodles took over 30 minutes - way longer than expected. While the noodles were well cooked and packed with flavor, I felt that the dish was far too oily and without much tofu/protein. Perhaps the other meals are less oily and more protein packed, but for being the only vegan option available that day, unfortunately this is all I have to offer at this time.

Today when I called to ask about if the coconut noodle soup had any pork broth, garlic, or onion (things I have to avoid or I will get sick), I could hear a man on the other end of the call being very rude towards me and the girl asking about the ingredients on my behalf. Stuff like this is what steers people with intolerances away from eating out or asking more information about the food we might want to buy. I didn't want a recipe as he suggested, I simply wanted to know if it had anything that is a common allergies or intolerance. Even when I provided the specific things I have issues with, this man continued to be rude. He had an attitude and was saying, "it's coconut" with a rude tone, as if I was dumb for asking if it has any type of broth in the soup. Meanwhile, many restaurants can make soups with chicken broth and other broths and it still be "coconut" or another flavor so I found that really aggravating. Food is a five a star but the man with the attitude bumped it down to three. 4/20: In response to owner's response-- Let's remember that people can develop food intolerances and allergies as they get older.
