    Our favorite breakfast restaurant!

This is by far our favorite breakfast restaurant! Coffee brought to us as soon as we arrive. Great fresh breakfast made to your liking. Small, friendly and cozy, with a very interesting decor. Best breakfast sandwiches to take out as well if you are in a hurry.

First time here... right away you will notice the motorcycle theme. Vintage photos of people on bikes - so cool! There's also tons of Johnny Cash albums as decor, I'm a fan. Our order came out quick and it was fresh and hot. I forgot to ask about the egg source, the yolks was so rich they just be local. Bacon was crispy. Coffee was perfect. Toast choice included cinnamon raisin and Italian (nice!). Pancake order was 3 huge cakes and we basically licked the plate clean. Next time I'll get the blueberries in.

The food quality is mediocre and be prepared to put a MAGA hat as soon as you enter. Limited hour's but an average breakfast.

The girls loved sipping their "fancy" lattes and smoothies before choosing their own oversized treats -- always the best part. The French Toast muffins were delightfully over-the-top, golden, and easily the size of a baby's head. Crisp on the outside, tender and almost custardy inside -- pure comfort in muffin form. I'm still especially loyal to their cookies: perfectly tender with just the right chew, generously sized and absolutely shareable (if you're feeling generous). It was quiet on a Monday night, which made the space feel even cozier. I also love browsing their curated merch -- mugs and giftable goodies that pair perfectly with a gift card. And beyond the sweets, their menu runs the gamut from vibrant salads to gloriously greasy smashburgers. A spot that does indulgent and fresh equally well.

The coffee was lukewarm when I received it, which is disappointing for a place that specializes in coffee. The flavor was bland and lacked the richness I expect from a specialty coffee shop. The service was slow despite there being only three people in line. The barista seemed more interested in their phone than taking orders properly. The shop itself has a weird smell that mixes stale coffee with something vaguely chemical.

Driving through the trails to get to the restaurant offers a beautiful landscape full of foliage and classic looking buildings. Absolutely gorgeous. Walking up the path to get into the restaurant is quiet and serene. When entering the restaurant you enter a portion of dining room and can see the bar. Super nostalgic. The food, drinks, and dessert were all fresh and delicious. I had the Norwegian Salmon and a glass of Col Taylor (Bourbon). Paired wonderfully. My wife had the prime rib with a glass of Jingle Juice. She loved them. The service was top tier and consistent. I thoroughly enjoyed small talk with the staff in between meals. Overall my wife and I love this restaurant. It has become my favorite place. I'm very big on nostalgia and classy service.

If you like your proteins well done, you might be very happy. Spinach salad with goat cheese, blueberries, strawberries is excellent. I had the dressing on the side. Wooden chairs very uncomfortable. We were seated near a window with a lovely view. Window (inside) had numerous live and dead flies. If my husband had written this review, he would have been less kind.

Today, we came in after the big breakfast rush, so there was plenty of comfortable seating throughout the restaurant. They have a specials menu that changes with the month. Everything on the menu is innovative, and an upgrade from whatever ordinary breakfast you're used to. Our waitress served up fresh hot mugs of coffee for us, and explained that their loyalty program was moving to a Phone app. Unfortunately, we would not be able to use our Wallet card which had three punches on it already. Today I ordered a Cali chicken club wrap, which was a very delicious mix, chopped chicken breast, romaine, wedges of avocado, and bacon with a nice ranch dressing, all in a soft tortilla wrap. For my side, I chose coleslaw. My food is so delicious, no complaints here. My handsome dining companion got the Pork Belly Hash with sweet potato tots, and two eggs OE and toast. I did sneak my fork across the table to grab a chunk of pork belly which made my eyes roll back into my head. My next bite was one of the deep fried sweet potato tots. Very delicious, but I can't make a habit out of anything deep fried anymore. All of this deliciousness came our way for under 40 bucks. Thankfully, we had a nice Christmas gift certificate from one of the grandkids. We do highly recommend any of the Poked Yolk locations.

Somehow they were down to one chef and the host made sure he could adequately accommodate us before even agreeing to seat us. WHO DOES THAT? Everyone else practically would just park you and cross their fingers -if they cared at all. Onion soup was very (sherry? Champagne?) vinegar forward. Uncommon flavor but good. They actually whipped up a Beef Stroganoff for me without alcohol which was also really tender but a tad disappointingly served on bow ties which I love -but I specifically asked and was told it was served over noodles. (Especially when another menu item came with pappardelle which I adore). One tablemate had bacon wrapped meatloaf he really enjoyed - and had to be 2/3 lb of meat. The fish was a head-scratcher...Billed as a curried and beer (IPA?) battered haddock what arrived was curry free and had no discernable trace of batter. The poor thing was encased in a thick wall of panko and absolutely incinerated in the deep fryer. The fish itself however, was done to a turn. The fries may as well have been mashed potatoes. WHY DOES EVERYONE MAKE SCRATCH FRIES THESE DAYS? No one knows how! I will, however, definitely give them another chance for sure. Partially because they were shorthanded but mostly because of our wonderful dining room staff. They were (understandably) unable to accommodate my request for coarse salt despite reporting having searched all over. I believed them too because the level of service was just that good. And..would't you know it?... a few minutes later after i gave up on it - didn't they find some for me? WHO DOES THAT? Oh! And get this! At the very last minute after the bill was almost certainly tallied, as we were about to settle they arranged for us to have 3 separate checks! WHO DOES THAT??? The Colden Mill does that!
