I keep giving this place another chance. Maybe it depends on the chef who is working that day. Last night was not very good. I love this place, had been around for decades. It's loved by the community, and everyone comes here to have a good time, enjoy the food, and buy some lotto tickets. I got their lunch special after running some errands nearby. I decided to order something different off their lunch special menu. I choose their L.13 Hunan Beef. All of their lunch specials comes with pork fried rice & a soup. I wanted to be a bit more healthy, so I choose to order my meal with white rice instead. It was $1 extra for the white rice instead of the fried rice. I also choose the hot & sour soup. The total for my order was $10.59 with tax. My order was ready within 10 mins, and they packaged it go to nicely in a bag. When I got home to enjoy my food, I saw they also threw in a bag of fried wonton strips, utensils, and sauce packets. The human beef smelled wonderful and was stir-fried with a fermented black bean sauce, onions, shallots, bell peppers, and baby corn. The food was great, containing very large generous pieces of beef. Their hot & sour soup was ok, there were small pieces of pork in the soup, so it's not vegetarian friendly. Would come again, they also have a sushi lunch special that my sister has gotten before that isn't bad. If you eat in, you can get free ice cream with your meal as well. Love this spot! read more

I had to update my review because I got some of best tasting chicken chow mein that I've had in a long time.there was plenty of chicken pieces and it was very flavorful. You guys, Kirin China is THE best Chinese place in this area without question and it is not even close. I've been ordering from here for years, but recently rediscovered it, and literally everything here is good, perfect, and like how I remember Chinese restaurants growing up. Although I'm not sure, I think they might make their own noodles. Wonton crackers are usually pre-made, but I think their noodles and crackers are homemade. The fried rice is fantastic, the dumplings are amazing, they have bubble tea, and literally everything here is fire. Everything. The interior and dining in is good, but typically I get it for takeout. They are also very accommodating with requests, super friendly, the food is packed impeccably and neatly, and you can pay with a card in person for delivery. The reason I'm writing this now is recently in my house, there was a consensus to only order from here going forward, and we even had to decide on a frequency clause for fear of getting tired of it. Delivery is fast, and prices are really reasonable. Overall, everything is so well done, every item on the menu is delicious, so much more stuff is homemade, and it's literally the best Chinese place and my all time #1 Chinese food choice. Small take-out/dine-in Chinese/Sushi restaurant in strip shopping center in Lindenhurst. The inside is clean and nice enough about ten tables or so, service is excellent and the Chinese food about 3 Stars. They put a big emphasis on playing Keno lottery, it's OK it get a little weirder. Strange thing is I found out about the place from a flyer in the mail. The name on the menu I got is Kirin China, but Yelp has 'em as David Tsoi, need some social media upgrading folks. Anyway, its a decent Chinese restaurant and enjoy the dining-in option, food just tastes better than take-out. But I come here for the Sushi. There's no Sushi bar, just a guy of the kitchen on a small table working his butt off. Crazy thing is the Sushi is very good and I'm picky. These things usually last for a limited time, have no idea where the found the outstanding Sushi chef.......but I will be regular while it lasts. read more

Old school Chinese restaurants still exists and still need your love and support. They have a friendly staff, great food and lotto! We both got a combo and the wonton soup was the best I've had in a long time. We even got coconut ice cream with it! five flavors of ice cream to choose from. My favorite part of a Chinese restaurant is the fried noodle with mustard and duck sauce. I can eat that for days. Plus they give you hot tea! We each had a fun drink and they were tropical and strong. Portions were perfect. We will be back. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. STAY AWAY as they won't be in business long which is evident by having NO help except a Haitian boy they have doing everything like a slave! . The owner Grace is standing outside trying to lure customers in. Ever hear of a lunch special until 5pm? That won't help them, NOTHING will! NO waiters or waitresses speaks volumes and the service (Grace trying to do it all) is horrendous! NEVER anyone in there, NO WONDER why! The food is awful; tough chewy, fatty pieces of pork, the General Tso's is hard fried pieces with NO chicken inside which is tasteless! They are stingy and you repeatedly have to ask for EVERYTHING and by the time they give it to you, your done eating and don't need it any longer. This place is good for constipation; as my dad said "better than EXLAX as it leaves you running to the bathroom! The place is completely empty inside the three times we went unlike Silver Pond which was always packed! Now we are DONE going there and will stick to Hong Kong City up the road which is a ZIllion times better; friendly service and better food and always packed! I ordered Beef and Broccoli and the broccoli was seriously under cooked; it was still very hard to chew. there were previous times where the broccoli tasted sour, so it may have gone bad. I never write reviews & I HATE food waste... but both my husband and I thought the food was gross. The good: Order & delivery went well. No complaints at all about the customer service. Priced no different than other similar places in the area. Huge menu with various styles of Asian cuisine... which, in hindsight, might be the reason for what I say next.... The lo-mein had an odd burned taste and super oily. The chicken & broccoli was chewy & tasteless. The cheese wonton had a tiny scoop in the middle, mostly stale wonton shell, & no flavor. And the fried dumplings filling just tasted odd and I got a bit with cartilage or something which put me off. I foolishly thought "You can't mess up an eggroll" after trying the rest of the food which was oily & flavorless... But alas I was wrong. The eggroll was -drenched- in oil, the filling had an odd taste in it, & it was severely over fried. It was as if they fried them in oil that hadn't fully heated before dropping it in & left it in there too long. My husband is forcing me to throw the left overs in the trash... his eloquent review is "This place could F up a wet dream." For as long as I can remember, I have driven past this restaurant thinking it was just another storefront takeout place. Boy was I wrong!! What brought me in was an awesome deal from BellyCard. They were offering a free order of Dim Sum and a free soda if it was your first scan of your card there. I also had a points bonus through my Amex dining program for dining there. So the combined deals were a no-brainer. As an added and unexpected bonus, I also scored a free app when I checked in through Yelp which I was able to save for my next visit. :-) I can see that there is a mixed bag of reviews for this place, but this review is mine all mine, and will not take into account the fact that I got several items for free through the various rewards programs that I used. Upon entering, we were greeted immediately and shown to a very comfortable and clean booth. I would like to stress the word clean, as it was impeccable. The decor was that of Valentines Day still since it was just a day before my visit. As another reviewer pointed out, there is Lotto everywhere. Quickdraw cards right on the table and scratch-offs at the front register. Not something I expected to see, but I guess it helps pay the bills. Not that I can imagine why because the food was delicious!! The restaurant was somewhat empty and quiet. Only a few other tables in use. Perfect for a relaxing meal. Our waitress was very nice. She had our tea and sodas (free from BellyCard) out in a flash, along with some super-fresh crispy noodles and dipping sauces. Our soups were the first to arrive. We tried both the wonton and the eggdrop soup. I instinctively put a half spoon of hot mustard into my wonton soup to kick it up a notch. The wontons were superb. Cooked perfectly. The broth was not overly salty like some places. It was a nice clear broth with some fresh scallion slices in it. Nothing like the msg laden yellow oily stuff served by most Chinese restaurants back in the 80's. My photo might look yellowish, but that was because I added some hot mustard to it. The eggdrop soup used the same broth, but with the egg added. It was perfect as well. Not too thick or slimy like some places. It was just the right consistency. Both soups were really good and were the perfect start to our meal. Next up was our free Dim Sum (from BellyCard) which consisted of 4 steamed pork dumplings with a brown garlic sauce drizzled on top. They were excellent. Not gummy, not pasty. Just perfect. Our meals soon followed. We ordered the Pepper Steak Combo with Fried Rice and an Eggroll. The combo also included an ice cream dessert. The 2nd entree was from the dinner menu and was called Crispy Seafood Two Delicious, which consisted of crispy fried butterfly shrimp and sauteed scallops in a spicy garlic sauce with mixed vegetables. The shrimp were crispy. Not tough at all. The scallops were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It has been a while since I've had such perfectly cooked scallops. The sauce was amazing. Packed with flavor and not oily at all. We cleaned the plate on this one. I would definitely order it again. The Pepper Steak was also really great. The meat was super-tender and the sauce was on point when it came to flavor. Plenty of onions and peppers. A definite go-to dish. The eggroll was crisp and tasted fine to me. It was your average eggroll. But it was good. No complaints. Dipped away in my bowl of duck sauce and devoured it like a pro. This fine meal was topped off with ice cream and fortune cookies. All in all a fantastic dinner for only $32 plus tip. We were so full that we ended up taking a small portion of the Pepper Steak and some fried rice home. One last thing I have to go back to because it was something that really stood out to me... This place was impeccably clean in the dining room. The booths looked like they were recently upgraded. Very comfortable. The utensils and drinking glasses were spotless as well. I am a little OCD when it comes to things like that and will promptly exchange a utensil simply for having water stains on it. No issues here whatsoever. The bathroom was also spotless. I was not sure what to expect coming here for the first time after living in the area for 20+ years. One thing is for sure... I have definitely been missing out on something special. :-) read more

Similar to Mushroom in Babylon this restaurant is a better take-out place. The Chinese food is decent but anything of the Japanese menu is pretty poor. The service is good and the prices are all fair, but this isn't my first choice for Chinese in the area, sit down or delivery. It's all fairly mediocre, which doesn't make it bad mind you. read more

I order fried dumplings every single time I place an order, so what's up? Did you guys get a new chef? Did you change ingredients? They were horrible.
