During the first part of the visit, Dr. Yee spent considerable time going over information that I had already provided on the new-patient forms. He initially said that he could not locate my previous medical records. The most difficult part of the visit was the communication. During the latter part of the appointment, when I tried to explain my concerns and ask questions, I was repeatedly interrupted and was not given a meaningful opportunity to speak. I left the appointment feeling confused and unsure about what had actually been accomplished or what I was supposed to do next. The following morning, someone from the office called and told me that Dr. Yee had located my previously unavailable records. I was asked to schedule another appointment. I did not refuse follow-up care; instead, I sent a message asking whether we could have a brief phone discussion about the newly located records and the next steps. In that same message, I also explained that I had not been able to tell the doctor during the appointment about an important medication concern because I had not been given the opportunity to discuss it. I asked for guidance and requested a short bridge prescription. I also asked that my account of the appointment be added to the medical record. Unfortunately, my message was not meaningfully addressed. I did not receive a substantive response to the concerns I raised, my medication request was not addressed, and my request to amend the clinical note was not acted upon. What bothered me most was not simply the possibility of having to pay for another appointment. It was the feeling that I had not been heard during the first appointment, and when I immediately tried to communicate my concerns afterward, they still were not addressed. I have seen many physicians over the years, and this was the first time I experienced a doctor repeatedly interrupting me and not giving me an opportunity to explain my concerns or ask questions. If you are looking for a physician who takes the time to listen, allows you to ask questions, and makes sure you understand what is happening and what to do next, my experience was very different. Based on my experience, I would not choose Dr. Yee as my physician.

The facility is not state-of-the-art, they still make you check in filling out paper forms and waiting forever. Front desk staff varies from incompetent to friendly and you bet that if you get someone incompetent, they will keep forcing you to use that same person over and over. Dr Wong is always late, cannot explain his medical opinions in any format, and highly combative, condescending and egotistical. He tries to change the procedure last minute after you've reached an agreement on what will happen during the consultation. Needless to say this highly alarming behavior from a doctor. While all the reviews here for him are "positive" after doing additional research suspiciously all the negative reviews on Dr Wong are under David T. Wong, MD. Usually I see the physician's assistant, but on occasion Dr. Rowe. I have found him to be very helpful, patient, and professional. I have never felt rushed in any of my appointments. They have a new PA whose name is Julia. Very informative, very friendly and helpful. She made some medication suggestions, and gave excellent information about some long-term side effects and the latest scientific research, of which I was unaware. The excellent suggestions given to me today by the PA were very helpful to me. Occasionally I have to wait a few minutes, but it's usually not very long. Today I think I waited 2 minutes. I barely had time to do a Yelp check-in before I was called. I have also had Dr. Rowe perform the usual routine colonoscopies. I would not exactly call them a load of fun, but they went smoothly. Well, as smoothly as one can expect having a tube shoved up--well you know what I mean. I should also mention that they require you provide them with your credit card information, so they can charge you right away. At first, I found this a little annoying, but I understand they want to shorten the billing process. The office is in that large office complex right near San Ramon Hospital. Parking is generally not too bad.

Dr. Lin is trilingual; besides English, he speaks fluent Chinese and some Taiwanese. He constantly goes above and beyond the standard practice of a family doctor, and his medical knowledge is far more extensive than most. If I hadn't moved away, I would have switched my medical network just to keep seeing him. It is truly hard to find a doctor as dedicated and capable as Dr. Lin.
