I have had six months of a limited UV tanning at this location. The shop itself it's very cute and clean. However, they do not follow their posted hours. Three days in a row this week alone they have had the open sign on but have been locked. I understand locking the door 10 minutes before closing but locking the store at 6:20 is ridiculous. I have called the store and no one answers the phone. The first time this happened I was frustrated, but now that it has happened several times I will not be renewing my membership. The owner is very helpful and the typical staff is normally great, but the younger female employee seems to not understand the posted hours or just doesn't want to work her full shift. read more

Feeling a little Corpse Bride-like I decided to try a spray tan for the very first time. Having never done this before I was quickly made to feel at ease by the girl running the shop on Saturday morning. (Ugh, I hate when I forget a name!) She explained the process and recommended a shade. I was told that with my coloring and features I could use a darker shade but I was a little worried about showing up at work on Monday looking like Tan Mom Patricia Krentcil or Ross from Friends. I opted for a medium shade with a bronzer so I could see some immediate results. The entire process using the VersaSpa (automated spray booth) took only moments and was incredibly simple. For newbies like me it's helpful to have the instruction video looping on a screen in the private room. I was very impressed to get a phone call the next day to inquire on my satisfaction with the experience. I'm still a sunshine loving girl but it's nice knowing I can be outdoors in a sundress or shorts right now without someone humming the Ghostbusters theme song as I pass by. read more

I'm not actually a customer, but my car broke down outside on a freezing day yesterday and one of the employees here was amazingly kind. She came out and offered a place to rest out of the cold with a cup of coffee. I declined, because I was fine, but what a nice person, she was the only person who offered help instead of gawking at me with my hood up and my head in the engine. Probably the worst spray tan i have ever had. Got it done Monday and my feet were black in the soles my palms were brown and my fingertips were all white. The spray tan was splotchy by Tuesday and Wednesday it looked awful. My daughters wedding is Saturday and now i have no time to fix it except to try to scrub it off. read more

I had Lynette and she was beyond amazing in the practical, and personality department! She truly cares about your skin, and will advice you in a manner which is applicable to you and your needs. She truly comes from a good place. She could tell me what was going on with my skin just by touching it, and I could verify it for sure being an aesthetician myself. Being a dude who does not get waxed often I am not a huge fan of being waxed, and she did an amazing job especially since I am very peculiar about things. They also have another aesthetician who seems nice, but I did not talk to her. The male owner who I booked with is quite good at the front desk compared to most customer service people. I could foresee him being a radio host, and he was very helpful. The only thing that they could improve upon thus far is to acquire a second aesthetician room. Its a nice place. read more

Feeling very disappointment! came to have a spray tan for my best friend's wedding, while getting dress the same day for the ceremony i realized the spray tan did not tan my lower part of my legs and the inside of my arms. This salon is the best in town. I would be a regular if I didn't live way up in the NE foothills! But when I need a quick tan I come here. They have the VersaSpa which, in my opinion, is the best sunless tan short of having an actual custom spray tan. Customer Service is top notch- the owner is friendly and very knowledgeable. I dont ever feel like i'm being Sold Something or pressured into buying anything else than what I have asked for. I had to bring my daughter in with me, and they were totally cool with it. (I dont normally bring her tanning with me, but it was a last minute decision as I was leaving town the next day and needed some COLOR!) I love the Decor- the tanning rooms are cute and stylish. It's not surprise that I'm also writing a five star review for this spot. First off- they take walk ins! Which worked out great for me since I opted for a last minute spray tan. From the moment you walk in you'll receive a warm welcome. The owner, Chuck just so happened to be there too, and he's super friendly and 100% about customer service and knows his products through and through. As noted in other reviews, there are three options for sunless Tanning- they have the Versa Spa which includes a hydration, a Ph balancer for the skin and a bronzer. The other option is the Mystic Tanning which sprays on clear without the bronzer but develops the same quality tan and lastly, you can opt for an airbrush tan that is definitely pricier but supposedly pretty flawless. Pricing here is competitive and fair compared with other Salons in town that use the Mystic tanning system. I'd definitely return for another sunless tan. I used to tan here a couple years ago and always had a great experience every timeI went. More recently, I went in for a brazilian and eyebrow wax. I have to say, that I was so glad to be back there becuase this salon is the epitome of friendliness, customer service, and cleanliness. I booked my appointment last minute and they were still able to get me in. Bonnie is the girl who did my wax and she was oh so polite, and very friendly despite a quite painful procedure. She really did everything she could to make me feel at ease and comfortable. This place has the Versa Spa which is an awesome self tanning machine. No streaking, beautiful golden tan and doesn't leave a strong smell on your skin afterwards. I've been to others around town but this is the best. The owner has everything from unused individually wrapped hair ties, hair nets, barrier cream, footies, and a great instructional video playing for newbies. Over a year ago I visited the salon and was not satisfied with the customer service that was provided. In the mystic booth the cartridges were clearly expired as they had already oxidized. The "owner" was behind the counter and did not attempt to make eye contact with myself and two other patrons. There were only two people behind the counter so this made it a little awkward. During that time I was notified there was a change in ownership. From there on out the service has been impeccable. The products they are now providing are quality and I don't have to worry about turning green when I get out the sunless booths. I will definitely be a customer when I am in Tucson. read more

Same day appointment or last minute decision to get a celebrity sunless tanning can be impossible, but not with Kist by Mist. Flor, the wife of the owner was able to squeezed me in. I have to admit at first I was skeptical that this place has perfect 5 stars rating and most reviewed establishement compare to the other tanning salon. Now I know why and as a customer, I am happy and satisfied with the service. Although, my palms may look orangey I think I have a nice consistent medium tan. The place is equipped with disposal: thongs, hair bands, robes and lotions to maintain an all year round summer tan. The staffs are friendly and professional. The ladies at the front desk were really polite and helpful. I did the basic spray tan at a medium level. I've only had a spray tan once and it was with someone using an airbrush. I was delighted to find out that it was done in a machine, where I had some privacy! You get your own little room where you can undress and apply lotion, etc. The price was very reasonable and I was very pleased with the results! Will be returning when I'm back in town. read more

I absolutely love this place. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I started tanning at Kist by Mist 8 years ago. I recently starting going to Jessica for my waxing needs about 6 months ago. I started getting Brazilians, eye brow waxes, armpit waxes, and various other types done by her 8 years ago when she worked at EWC. Waxing can be a terrifying experience but Jessica is talented and makes you feel comfortable. I would never and have never trusted anyone to take care of my waxing needs. This is an excellent salon for tanning! I needed a last minute tan...and not just a tan, a freakish dark tan for a bodybuilding event. They were able to get me to the color I needed fast. It also lasted fairly long and didn't fade really nasty. They have excellent customer service and offer a military discount. This is the only tanning salon I've ever been to. After my first experience there 2 years ago, I'd decided I wasn't going anywhere else! I was inexperienced, very pale and do not tan naturally, so I was recommended to use the Mystic Tan system, and the person who had helped me was very patient! There is an instructional video that plays in the locked, single room while you prepare, and they provide all of the supplies needed (blending cream for hands/feet, hair ties, caps, towels, and even shaped stickers to wear if you wanna do something fun with your tan). Once you step inside, the audio will guide you through the process, and although it's cold, it's very fast. After you're done, you air dry/towel off, get dressed, and I've always been asked "how it went", and if I had any questions. I've never been pressured into buying any additional products, or any pre-purchased packages, and they give a great discount for students . The only downside is the lack of parking. It's in a strip with a Starbucks, La Salsa, and several smaller businesses, so it usually hard to find a spot. There is parking in the back, however, so be patient! I had never seen myself "tan" before, so it was great to see! However, I don't go as often as I'd like, and usually just go for special occasions now. But I always feel great when I leave.
