When he recommended something to me, I simply took his advice. Usually, I do a ton of research before I buy anything significant, but I didn't do this with him. We ended up having terrible problems installing the controls for the shower. Michael stepped up and provided assistance to get the problem resolved. This included two house visits with another plumber. I don't think very many salespeople would have gone to this trouble to help a customer resolve a problem. Throughout the process, Michael was always responsive and "on our side" to get the shower working. Michael has is now the manager and I'm sure his staff is following his example of how to treat a customer. My bathroom is now done, and I couldn't be happier with everything I got from Wilkinson's. For a variety of unrelated reasons, the renovation was a nightmare and Wilkinson's/Michael was the only part of it that was positive.

No other handyman bothered to respond except Bernie as the repair had to be done from under the house via the crawlspace. Bernie came and gave a detailed estimate and also went under the house into the crawlspace and took pictures and measurements. We scheduled the job and Bernie came exactly on time and made the repair with no complaining about the fact that working in a crawlspace is pretty hard to do and makes the job much more difficult. As a result of this we will now begin to schedule more work with Bernie for flooring as well as painting. This, of course, was totally his idea because he's creative like that. The cutting board is beautiful, solid, and functional, adding 30% more surface area to our kitchen. It's far superior to the ironing board that was there previously. He used top notch parts, sourced from specialty cabinet makers, to construct it. Ian was also timely and cleaned up after himself. I would feel confident hiring Ian for bigger projects, as I have seen him helping his former employer (my Dad) build bathrooms, kitchens, basements, and more.
