I needed hardware for my kitchen and bathroom drawers and cabinets. So I went to the big box shops. I did not like anything they offered. Then I went to several contracting shops. Kitchen Design Expo was one of them. I ended up making my purchase with them. Their customer service, selection, and pricing was awesome. Let me say they have you covered for kitchen and bathroom remodels: Flooring Countertops Cabinets Sink, Vanity Tile Knobs and pulls (cabinet hardware) They have a design team that can assist you create computer generated design plans all while working within your budget. The shop is filled with sample kitchen displays (displayed without sinks). They have hardware displays. In the back are lots of slabs of granite and quartz and some vanities. They are a small business, so they are working with minimal floor staff. If you do need assistance, just walk up to the counter and the staff will gladly assist you. I only bought cabinet hardware; knobs and handles. They do not have inventory on site. They order through a vendor. Their selection was diverse: styles of colonial, Victorian, farm style, traditional, mid century, futuristic, funky, fun, artsy, modern, industrial, etc. Quality brands. Even though I was not dropping a ton of dough, I was never treated any less important. I worked with Jessie, the owner, and Cora. Top notch customer service. Even when a portion of my order was wrong, the vendor sent the wrong product. Jessie quickly reordered and got me the right items within days. Great! read more

Go elsewhere. The whole experience with Jesse (the owner) and his "best" installers has been horrible. I purchased quartz countertops there in May this year. They were slightly less expensive than other options, but I liked the veining and was assured by Jesse that they were good quality. After installation, it was apparent there were rough spots on the slab and that it was bowed in the middle. The installation was worse: they did not check the peninsula for squareness first and instead just installed a crooked counter top, flush with the cabinets at one end but an overhang at the other. They cut the quartz inside my home without protection (leaving fine dust all over the floors and furniture), the seams were rough and messy, there was chipped paint off my walls, and they even left oil stains on my driveway. Customer service was nonexistent. My concerns were dismissed by Jesse- he told me I must be picky and hard to please. He was patronizing, has the air of a snake oil salesman, and offered zero resolution. I am so grateful that this was only a 5k countertop job and not a whole kitchen remodel. On/about December 22, 2022 went to kitchen Design. Began Design/measuring process ~ chose "IN STOCK cabinets. On January 19th I paid $3,500 (great price) ALL the cabinets I needed were there & pulled ~ said they could hold them for 2-3 weeks till pick up. I kept in communication via e-mail with Cora. Feb 10th began calling for pick up. Contractor went to pick up bout Feb 12-15th... closed/no one there. Owner called me in March to 'confess' my cabinets had been moved to a 60,000 sq foot storage unit & impossible to retrieve ~ even thou Cora the design lady reminded him "THOSE cabinets are being picked up~ don't move them". However, he said that could order upgrade @ another $1,500.00 since lower end were no longer made!! Alrighty.. read more

Sale was paid, but did not order material for 1 month. Tariff made counter top $600 more expensive then first estimate. Did not send out measure person. Needed more counter top at a cost of $1500.00 additional. Consequently, backsplash tile was not available on install date. Needed to pick another tile. Date of install was delayed yet again. Demo people did not instal drywall for tile layer. Overall, the project was a real mess, and much more expensive then estimated, and late on delivery. Poor. read more

First of all, I have to say I'm sorry for not writing my review sooner. My job was done Jan. 2018. Unlorturnaly I have to pick a star rating. But this place is not worth a star at all. Jesse is and "ASS". He thinks he is a nice guy. NOT! Nothing went right in my kitchen remodel. As a customer I paid what they asked for upfront. They first had to push my job out, which I was fine with. But once they got started, that's when the problems started. Too many to go on about. So i will just talk about the biggest problem. My kitchen took 3 slabs. 1 of the three slabs was a completely different piece. After it was installed, my brother came over to look at it and asked why this piece looked so different from the others. I was hoping it was just me. Then my aunt came over to look and also asked the same question. It was very obvious. I called the store and they sent someone "Richard" out. Richard tried to disagree but he eventually agreed it looked very different. The days went by before Jesse called me. And he completely disagreed that it was a different piece. That statement made with out even coming out to my house. He stuck to his guns that the pieces were the same. I told him it was not acceptable and needed to be fixed. At this point, Jesse said I needed to give him more money because due to some law they had a time frame to complete the job. WFT! He told me if I didn't give him more money he was going to put a lien against my house. I told him to do what he felt was right. But if he wanted to make this a legal matter, I would have no problem with that. I hope this and the other reviews helps you to make your decision. read more

Jesse Zamora is a real piece... He says these are beautiful quartzite countertops without cracks, chips, stains and mismatch colors. And we are still waiting for repairs to cabinets and a missing handle. See for yourself. He collects more than what is allowed by CA law. Unfortunately we found out after the fact. Awful! Believe the negative reviews about Jesse. We purchased cabinets and had our own contractor install. The lazy Susan was built poorly not square which threw off all other cabs. We had to cut hole in back to allow for clean out in order to get cab screwed to wall at which time we then realized the lack of plumb in the cab (poor craftsmanship). I called Jesse and he refused to replace at his cost because we modified already. I totally understand however no one would of been able to know it wasn't plumb without installing first. Btw he quoted 2k to have his installers do the job. The job took 1 day. 2000k? Wow. He was beyond unprofessional to my husband, my contractor and ultimately me. Shyster snake business guy. We had water damage in our master bath which, among other things, required a new granite counter top. On the promised install date I called to get a start time and was told that there was some communication problem with the contractor. In the end Jesse at Kitchen Design Expo went the extra mile to insure that a crew was at our home that day and got the job done. They did an excellent job with a good product. Do not expect service or expertise like you may find if you hire a cabinet or granite installation professional. You need to know what you want and make sure you double and triple check the order list. We had several delays and several pieces was incorrect, but we were not in a hurry and Jesse was great and resolved the issues. So they took on a project in my den requiring audio/visual work without an AV person. I was some how supposed to get that figured out. They ordered cabinets not designed to hold AV equipment so had to drill and jury rig my system into the space. The cabinets were modular, and didn't exactly fit the space, so the trim doesn't even match on the different sides. The 3 day project took about 10 weeks. It was always some one else's fault. They don't call or email, you have to chase them down. One person was so nasty on the phone the first day, nearly told them to leave my house. Their subcontractors for tile and electrical did nice work. All in all, could not recommend them. read more

What a disappointment! Started out bad and just kept on getting worse. Not only do they refuse to communicate what I wanted with their contractors, they charged me for their mistakes and refused to change. We laid out designs repeatedly and they would not follow what they wrote down the last time. I had a custom island that needed building we set down for about and hour explaining how it can and should be built. Came in to pay, they totally ignored the plans and were about to order the wrong cabinet, again and I had to go over the plans. This happened a third time. finally they did what I wanted. then the day they put the island base in they had the width of the top 6 inches longer than the design. I told the contractor it was wrong and he said they would correct it when they place the quarts top. They did not! Now my island top hung out to long and they told me it would probably crack without additional support. WHICH THEY CHARGED ME FOR. Then on one of the cabinet doors was misaligned. For two month they told me they would have some one come out and fix it. They then shorted me on material I ordered for them and refused to believe it. they did not order materials that I asked for again and again until I had to go buy the material myself. Finally on the day they were finishing up the OWNER JESSE wanted the remainder of the money, and I told him once he finishes the job I would pay him. I told him that he will get his money when he fixed the misaligned door. He tried to bully me to pay and then when I was explaining that a check would be waiting for him when the door was done he would not listen and hung up on me saying "I know what to do with you" Jesse Zamora is horrible to deal with once you put your money down and sign the contract. I purchased my Hanstone quartz countertops here and was very happy with the service. I got an appointment to do my template the day after my cabinets were installed ( by a different company) and the countertops were ready the next week. The installers were on time and very professional. They were wonderful about making suggestions on where to place my soap dispenser, air switch and sprayer around my faucet. My countertops are beautiful! I can now enjoy my kitchen because of their prompt service! read more

After shopping around for a year, the quotes we got for our kitchen cabinets and countertops were so way out of our budget, that we thought we were never going to afford it. Thankfully a friend of a friend referred us to Jesse at Kitchen Design Expo and I couldn't be more happy with the results, I finally have my dream kitchen! Not only was the quote thousands less, but they were the only ones that had the exact cabinets that I had in mind. We were also able to upgrade to quartz since Jesse pointed out that the cost of the cuts we wanted in the bullnosed granite worked out to be about the same price because the quartz already had the straight cuts we liked. Jesse was honest with his recommendations and he never tried to steer us in a direction he knew was out of our budget. Through the whole process, he called everyday or so to see if we had any questions or changes. His workers were friendly and always showed up on time. The only glitch was the company they ordered the cabinets from sent the wrong color for one of the cabinet fronts which set us back a few days, but that wasn't Kitchen Design Expo's mistake, so I will still give them 5 stars. One thing to mention, the warehouse is literally around the corner from Loaves and Fishes, so don't be turned off by the location. Maybe you prefer a state of the art showroom in a better part of town or you want to pay extra for those kinds of bells and whistles, but you will get the results you want at a better price at Kitchen Design Expo. read more

I had recently read a negative review about this business, but had my kitchen counters done a few years ago by this company and am still happy with how they turned out. So I went in to see about getting sinks and a counter for my odd shaped bathroom counter. I picked out a slab, but there were no matching backsplashes for it. The owner took care of everything, arranging to cut them so they would match perfectly. The installation was perfect--the guys were so nice and they know what they are doing. I went to at least 20 companies in the area and online. Provided the same layout to each and kitchen design expo had the very best price. They employ their own installers ours turned out beautiful. So much so that we remodeled one of our rental homes with the same products. We are building our new home in the next 2 years and will definitely use them again. read more

I went with this company because they beat everyone else's prices, and now I see why. Poor customer service, the owner Jesse, just likes to argue and speak louder than you so that you can't even have a civilized conversation. He doesn't care! I hired him to redo my kitchen counters, and right from the start there were issues. From me stating I wanted Bullnose edges and the contract listed it, but he considers ALL edges Bullnose. WRONG! So I ended up with a straight edge. Then my window-sills are a different color from my counter tops, and it's obvious. The work was supposed to take no more than 1 week, and here we are 2 months later. I've compromised throughout the project just to get it done, at my own expense and dissatisfaction. He will not compromise AT ALL. With COVID and Holidays, I just want this done and over with. No more traffic thru my house and destroyed kitchen. I've heard from others that have worked with him in the past, and they say he's a piece of work and will screw you in the end. read more

We had a very good experience with both shopping and installation. We chose the Golden Dream granite and the staff gave us lots of other samples to take home and look at before we made our final decision. Jesse also willingly priced three different types of granite to help us decide. He did not have enough in stock to fill our order, so he ordered us a new carton to select our granite from. When the new carton came, the distributor had shipped the wrong edge style, so Jesse ordered another carton for us to choose from and we had no issues after that. We were aware that we had to "cherry pick" the granite to get the quality we were looking for, but this is to be expected at this price point and we had enough to choose from to get all good pieces. We also went into it being aware that the full bullnose edge is more durable and nicks and dings less easily than the square edge that is the "hot ticket" in design circles right now. So we went with a less contemporary, less "trendy" look that we liked better anyway. Kitchen Design Expo does a large volume and is apparently a little at the mercy of their distributor, but we had allowed plenty of time before our installation so we were okay - made a couple extra trips down there is all. Jesse and his staff were very good about trying to use material wisely to save us money and we wound up with a very negligible amount of product left over. He really bent over backwards to get us a fair price. They were also very patient with us about our tentative installation date and didn't put us way back into the line when our job got pushed back two days; other companies may have done so when we missed our installation window. As far as the installation, Juan and his brother Gabriel and their helper are outstanding. It was a very, very challenging installation with lots of cuts and polished edges that had to tie into each other. The brothers did a great job of matching the slabs of granite and made great recommendations to help make the final outcome stunning, even though it meant extra time and trouble for them. They template and install the same day so the advantage of this process is that you aren't waiting a week with a finished kitchen for the granite to be installed. They were awesome about being careful taking the granite through the house and cleaned up very conscientiously; they even washed off the bushes where the granite dust had blown. Plus they kept working even in the driving rain. It's wonderful that there are folks out there that are so dedicated to turning in an outstanding project. They are really artisans that take great pride in their work. It looks wonderful. Best advice is to ask lots of questions and for recommendations. Give yourself lots of planning time because strange things happen: jesse had product arrival issues and we had construction setbacks, but because we were determined to be positive, everything worked out great and we communicated well together. , read more

Jesse is a crook. No honor no integrity. He robbed me blind and he would not hesitate to do it again. I stressed to him in the beggining how important it was for me to get my cabinets installed in less than 3 weeks. He promised me that he would get the cabinets in five days, and install them in 2. He asked me to leave him an 80% deposit, which I agreed to after scratching my head. He calls me 4 days later telling me that there is a piece missing, and that it would take at least 4 weeks for the cabinets to get here. I apologized and replied to him that i would need my money back. During this time, I agreed to have him install the tile at my home for 4.5 a square foot (not including material). He sent some guys over that did an excellent job. Meanwhile, I ordered my cabinets from somewhere else and asked Jesse to return the remainder of my deposit. He agreed upon it and asked me to come in whenever it would be convenient. When i did get the chance to stop by his office, he cornered me and caught me off guard. He went on to explain to me that he did not make any money from the tile job and that he needed to mark things up. He ended up telling me that he will only return 1200 of the 3268 that was owed to me. It was really hard for him to return money that he already had in the bank. He treated the situation like a true politician, and went on telling me that he did me a favor and that he was helping me out. The whole situation was messed up, but i decided to hold my tongue and let this one go. I had to write this review ASAP. I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake. There are places out there that would do a custom kitchen job that is less expensive. I got all custom cabinetry for about 2500 less than kitchen design expo.
