So rare when I give 5 stars but this place deserves it. We walked in around noon on Father's Day. No way to call the place, no online ordering, just pure prayers that it wasn't going to be an hour wait. We got there and there was no line at all. We ordered and 2 minutes later our food was on our table. I've never had a bbq place that had good meat AND good sides. Usually sides aren't good but meat is or the meat is dry but sides are good. This place had all around everything 5 stars We got the family platter which I reccomend so you can try everything. Sausage, ribs, brisket and 4 large sides. We also added the oxtail. Insane amount of food that we didn't even dent. Everything was so moist. SIDES Mac and cheese (amazing) Candy yams (pretty good) Brisket bbq beans (pretty good) Sweet potato corn bread (INCREDIBLE) Potato salad (amazing) They all were so so good. Kitchens Corner has been on my radar since their food truck days in Compton, so I was really excited when they opened this brick and mortar location. I've visited a few times since the grand opening, and one thing I've consistently noticed is how much they've improved their process with each visit. On my most recent stop, I came in around noon and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth everything felt. The line moved quickly, and our food came out to the table faster than expected. That alone made the experience feel more polished compared to earlier visits. The portions are solid and definitely satisfying. My dining companion went all in with ribs, brisket, and sausage, plus mac and cheese, and everything was well-prepared and hearty. They have indoor and patio dining and I. Priced during today's visit that they now have an awning for the patio. The have the games playing on TVs inside and they have speaker boxes playing outside. Parking is easy, which is always a plus in this area, and the service has improved each time I've come in. If you're planning a visit, I'd recommend coming during the week. First off, let me just say... Kitchen Crafts Barbecue is a whole vibe! The ambience, the music, the energy... immediately yes, everything was on point. I don't know if anybody else felt this way but I felt like I wasn't even in California anymore. It felt like I was in Texas, and I absolutely loved that for me! This place was recommended to us, and what better day to try it out than the 4th of July weekend. It heavily reminded us of Destination Smokehouse with the flow, menu, and high prices, but at least this is a black-owned restaurant, which is always a plus! Though we arrived about an hour after they arrived, that already seemed to be late lol, but the line wasn't too long, and it definitely took awhile to get to the front. I did enjoy the customer service, especially the women who were helping us, as they were sweet and helpful. After really narrowing down the options that we wanted and identifying the amount, we decided to go with 2 lbs of oxtails, 2 lbs of brisket, a few orders of the sweet potato cornbread, and the yams, which were definitely pricey compared to other BBQ places. From what we ordered, it didn't appear to be that much food, but I can say that everything was pretty good, with my favorite being the oxtails and brisket. I been coming to this place since they had their BBQ truck on E. Rose St in compton for a long time. Now a storefront we can sit and eat and the place is great with inside, outside chairs. Get all the BBQ sauces you want from OG, spicy and carolina style. The plate i go to is the #1 with brisket, ribs and choice of chicken, beef or house made sausages. All are delicious no matter what option you choose. They have a big parking lot in the back so no issues parking far away. Its good BBQ in the city of paramount! They also have good fried chicken. i couldn't tell you the last time i had barbecue so when i was searching for a place, i was taking my sweet time. we got there 5 minutes after opening thinking we were the first ones there but NOPE! there was already a line out the door! spoiler alert, it was so worth the wait. staff was incredibly kind, they even had someone walking around asking customers if they had any questions about the menu. we ordered the brisket melt, brisket chili cheese fries, buffalo wings, and their mac and cheese. everything was so delicious! the brisket was so tender and full of flavor but pairing it with the bbq sauce they give you on the side made it even better. the portions are also huge! we definitely overestimated our hunger but no complaints here, we had leftovers! the wings were amazing, had a nice little kick and they were pretty big. i will say my favorite was definitely the brisket chili cheese fries but i may be biased because i LOVE chili cheese fries. 100% i will be coming back! read more

This is a new barbecue spot in Paramount. Service was friendly and fairly efficient on the evening I was there. It was busy so it seems like Kitchen's Craft must have good word of mouth. There was a diverse group of customers and the TVs in the restaurant were showing the NBA playoffs. The mac and cheese was good. My daughter enjoyed the sweet potato corn bread. I felt that the potato salad had too strong of a mustard flavor. The fried chicken was just okay. The best thing I ordered was the beef brisket which can be purchased by the half pound. My husband ate it up and it was fork tender. They also offer about three different barbecue sauces at a self serve area in one corner of the restaurant. Came here looking for some good BBQ/soul food, but sadly this place missed the mark for us. Everything was extremely salty. The collard greens, mac and cheese, and baked beans honestly tasted like spoonfuls of salt. The baked beans were also really soupy. The meats were okay...the texture was good and they were cooked well, but again, everything was just way too salty overall. The only things we really enjoyed were the cornbread and the candied yams. I've been following Kitchen's Corner on IG for a bit and when I realized my daughter's rehearsal at Jordan was only minutes away from Kitchen's Craft I knew I had to stop by. From the moment we stepped through the door we were greeted by the amazing Smokey bbq smell and blues music coming through the jukebox on the wall. We came at 7pm so our original plan of Brisket and Burnt Ends shifted a bit as they had sold out of Burnt Ends and a number of their sides. We ended up getting 1lb of Brisket, 2 house made sausages, a small side of Mac and cheese , a classic banana pudding and a Oreo cookie banana pudding. Oh my word! My daughter and I snuck a few bites of brisket before taking our order home to my husband. It was so good! My picky child was asking for more immediately. We had Brisket and sausage left over and had it for dinner Monday night. The Mac and cheese was gone in a flash and my husband and daughter said their puddings were really good! So when I finally happened to be in Paramount, and I knew the Brick & Mortar opened, I figured it was time to try it. Let me start with the good 1st. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They have a BBQ sauce with 3 different sauces, and you can get all the sauce you want. The sauces are all excellent. The brisket was cooked perfectly. You could shake it apart, it had a good bark, and it was smoked just right. Now, to the not so good. The mac n cheese was salty, and it seemed like elevated Kraft Mac N Cheese. The Baked Beans were decent, but kind of had more of a chili taste. The ribs were good, but also very salty. You almost needed the sauce to balance them out. I did not like the sausage at all. It was dry, and it had a weird chew to it. And lastly, the meat was just warm. I got it to go, but I ate in the parking lot, so it should've still been hot. The sides were hot, but the meat was not. It wasnt horrible, but it wasn't amazing either. I came across an IG post about this new spot. The owners have a food truck that has always had long lines so when a friend sais he recently tried it, I thought I would give it a try. I'm not much of a bbq eater, so I was there for the sides and was bringing the BBQ home to the family. The place looked great! Folks were seated at tables enjoying their meals and staff were all up beat and friendly. I ordered one platter and a few sides so we could sample a bit of everything. Although the price was much more than I planned on paying, close to $100, I didn't mind. I thought maybe there would be a lot of food which meant there would be no need to cook dinner for a day or two! My expectations may have been a bit too high. Although the brisket fell apart, it just wasn't right. There appeared to be way too much rub! I had no clue you had to grab your own sauce, no one mentioned that to me so we had no sauce on the meat or sausage. The potato salad tasted more like egg yolk salad with heavy mustard. It was thick! The greens were OK. We don't care for stems in our greens. I am a cheese lover...but that mac and cheese was dry, thick and flavorless The coleslaw was just watery. The sausage was dry. I liked the spiciness, but I couldn't get it down. However, the sweet potato cornbread is to die for! I don't care for sweet potatoes or cornbread, but the combo of the two and the spices were amazing! It almost taste like gingerbread! It's delicious. The good thing is, the friend that told me to try the place gladly accepted it all. We only had a spoonful of the sides, half a sausage, a small bite of brisket and one rib, so he basically has dinner and lunch for today. I'm sure there will be those that love it, we're just not those people. My friend told me I should try the fried chicken. But I doubt very seriously that I will venture that way again. The ribs, brisket, sausage, baked beans, potato salad, collard greens & yams were delish. The dine in experience was not so great as the collards greens and potato salad was extremely salty. Sometimes different cooks change the taste of the food. I did leave a review on the restaurant's website regarding recipe consistency being a must. There was no response from the restaurant and I could not find my review. However, I loved my dine in experience and will definitely go back with family. Finally a place doing BBQ the right way. This place checks all the boxes for me. I got the combo plate pork ribs, brisket, links. Pork ribs were huge and tender. Great flavor with a lot of black pepper. Brisket was seriously on point and cut correctly. The guy on the cutting board knows what he's doing. Seems like he's the only guy getting the meats out. I don't mind waiting for quality bbq but some people might become impatient. Links seemed house made and were delicious. Mac and cheese was done right it was fresh with great flavor. Beans were proper with a little meat in there. Cool little bbq sauce bar and they give you a few portion cups for the bbq. I really liked the original and gold mustard sauces. My wife and I were going to another restaurant and saw this place as we drove by. Circled back and decided to walk in. They were all friendly from the get go! I was wearing a dodger hoodie and the worker said we got the game on for you. Order the mix plate and it was so much food. The spare rib brought me back to my childhood. The brisket had a nice peppery bark. The brisket beans were delicious. My wife and I shared and still had leftovers. Can't wait to try the pudding tomorrow with my left overs.
