Our second visit to Kite & Key and it was just as amazing! We had the Farmhouse Breakfast with country ham, Eggs Benny, and shared French toast everything was outstanding. Best hollandaise I've had, the ham was huge, and the French toast was perfect. Coffee drinks were great too. Can't wait to go back!

Slow, slow, slow service. It seems the backup is in the kitchen as there seemed to be adequate staffing in the lobby. Orders were coming out in 15 min increments it seemed. We waited an hour after ordering for our food. Food was very good. Down home taste and everything seemed fresh and cooked to order. Wait staff were very nice and on top of refills. If it wasn't for the wait, this would be a top pick.

My girlfriends and I have eaten here several times for breakfast. They have a great selection, and the food is always tasty--this time, I chose from the light entrees, the omelet with egg whites, veggies, and feta. The side is an excellent selection of fruit. First of all, the food was delicious, as always. The server was attentive and patient with us. However, this place is always really noisy, so it's hard to hear, and the service is slow. Slow was okay for us since we weren't in a hurry, but it was hard to carry on a conversation. I'm sure we'll be back, but maybe we need to pick a different time.

This place was the perfect find for breakfast and amazing coffee!! The wait staff was more then accommodating and friendly. The country Ben was bursting with savory flavor. Best thing I've tried for breakfast in awhile and the German potatoes well let's just say they don't give you enough because they are so darn good. My wife had the crepes and waffles and loved them as well.... Next time we are riding thru we will be back for sure.

We love to just search for local, independent places to support when we are traveling. Today was no exception. Today we found Kite and Key in Evansville, Indiana while traveling. Stopped in on a Saturday morning and the place was packed! Always a great sign. We tried both coffee and a Latte and we both each had a different type of breakfast platter off the menu so we got to sample everything from biscuits, English muffins, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, eggs over easy and those wonderful German potatoes. We were seated at a table for 6 although there was only two of us. Forgot speak with the owner who was there working hard. Such a friendly fellow. The entire place was very welcoming! Another couple came in and they were seated at the other end of the 6 top we were at. Nice getting to chat and have breakfast with a couple we didn't even know. Food here was excellent and very reasonably priced!! We highly recommend for breakfast. Wish we could have stayed around and for the bread pudding we spotted on the menu!!!

Waitress Jennifer was a complete sweetheart. The coffee is on point (being from Seattle I am picky), but the food, is amazing!

I've gotten take-out a few times from here. Each time, my food has been delicious with superb customer service. I usually get the blueberry pancakes, the website doesn't have blueberry waffles (my preference). Today I decided to call and ask if they made blueberry waffles. The lady I spoke to was very sweet and happily placed my order for blueberry waffles. They always make sure to give a good amount of syrup, butter and cutlery. I will miss this place when I go back home.

We had Kite and Key for a Sunday brunch and had a fantastic meal. We did have a longer than expected wait for food but good coffee and pleasant staff helped the wait. The food was 10/10. They had The best German potatoes I have had in several years. They have a good and affordable kids menu. We tried omelette, pancakes, crepes, and waffles and all were very good. I look forward to returning to their patio on a warmer day!

The true hidden gem on Evansville's west side is going to easily become your new favorite brunch spot. Nestled on a corner on Franklin St this gem serves up the most delicious brunch and at such an affordable price you'll think you read your receipt wrong. The space is rather small and they can not accommodate very many people. However, they do offer carry out and order ahead. They have limited hours and at rent open past 2pm! I highly recommend the cinnamon roll French toast !!

Awesome experience here today. We're visiting from out of town and we had a great breakfast. Only about a 15 minute wait for a table and our server, Levi was great. I ordered a SF chocolate mocha and the inventor omelet with a hot cake. The coffee was FANTASTIC and the food was good too. Definitely a little too much onion in it but I picked it out. We don't live nearby but we'd recommend this to anyone. Lots of Americana on the walls too which is great!

Small but very tasty food with an old style inn feeling. The service is great and they are helpful in answering questions about their menu. I love going here anytime I'm on this side of town.

I was in Evansville recently en route to Nashville and was looking for a local spot to get a bite to eat. As I love the smaller, family-owned places that are off the main roads, this place sounded very inviting. Well it was indeed off the beaten path. A couple blocks from one of the main streets in town and next to what looks like a city park, this was the kind of place I was looking for. I walked in and the seating area is not that big in the front (they have another section with more tables) and was greeted by a friendly waitress who told me I could sit where I wanted. I got the menu, and after finding out they were short-handed with a limited menu, I opted for a simple bacon, eggs, and french toast breakfast (with the waitress suggesting the cinnamon butter for the french toast). That was a perfect meal as it was the right amount. The cinnamon butter was a very nice touch and made the french toast that much more tasty. The coffee was also good and hot (and bottomless cup). I can tell this was a great place as there were a lot of locals dining. When I saw something on the TV that mentioned near where I live, I made a comment and the waitress quipped that I was not from a local and one of the others said they could tell by my "Chicago" accent. All in good fun of course.
