This is a weird place to have as my only experience of Evansville, since it's out past the airport off a highway in a nondescript strip mall. In any case, the salads are fresh and tasty, with a good crunchiness to them, but I found them to taste more of dressing than of ingredients. Balsamic chicken was super vinegary, sesame broccoli was super sesame oil-y, etc. Cookie was also pretty good, though not mind-blowing. read more

Fresh, tasty lunch with sooo many delicious options to choose from. A local resident recommended this slightly out of the way eatery, which is real close to the airport, and easy to find. My wife ordered the Perfect Stranger; a balsamic chicken salad with a great mix of veggies and fruit in a wheat wrap. I got the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It was zingy, stuffed with tasty, tender chicken, and also in your choice of a wheat or white wrap. I found the wheat to be a great choice. Sandwiches are served with a bag of kettle chips, or you can opt for one of a handful of other sides for a bit of an up charge. They also had an assortment of polite and bars that looked delicious, but our wraps had filled us up! Indoor and outdoor seating and a casual atmosphere with good service. Give it a try! read more

Delicious food is healthy; the cookies are delicious. If you try to eat healthy here, it is not harmful to go here. I enjoyed my visit for lunch last week with 12 other ladies . The chicken salad is always fresh as well as one of my side choices fresh seasonal fruit. I think all my friends were happy with their sandwiches and or salads . I had to take a few cookies home because it was $1.00 cookie day. Best cookies in Evansville!! Everything I've tried from The Granola Jar is great! One of my favorite lunch spots.

Of the many sandwiches and wraps to choose from, I opted for the classic reuben; instead of the traditional corned beef, I requested turkey with a slice of bacon (it was being cooked when I walked in and I could resist it), sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and creamy melted swiss cheese, toasted on swirled rye bread. Instead of chips, I swapped it for a salad for a $1.50 up-charge. While they have several excellent salad choices, I really like the creatively named, Tangled Up In Blue; it contains greens with dried cranberries, bleu cheese, croutons, and walnut vinaigrette. For dessert, I got an oatmeal raisin cookie. I really enjoyed my lunch, but a few criticisms. First, I am eating something beyond healthy, only to stare at a slew of soda taps as a drink choice. I mean, I'm not looking to chase my deli choices with soy milk, but a nice selection of teas would be nice. Also, a sandwich, small side salad, and cookie cost $12. I can't afford that everyday, but then again, anything healthy is going to cost way more. Lastly, I don't get lunch until noon, so I guess that is late, comparatively. A lot of the salads and desserts were sold out. If certain selections are selling out while others are consistently left over, adjust what types and how many you are making each day to better serve others with the same choices as the early birds received. read more

If your looking for Healthy this place is a delicious stop. I'm a vegetarian/pescatarian and love coming here for lunch. I usually get the 2 or 3's company plate, which allows you to select 2 or 3 salads or vegetables. My fave is the vegetarian protein salad and the poppy seed broccoli and carrots. The curried quinoa isn't bad and I wish I could try some of the others but I get there a little late and most are gone by then. I'm excited to see another restaurant like this in Evansville. My new favorite place in Evansville! I was craving something healthy and got stocked up with goodness. I did the Three's Company: a pick-three from their ten salad options. Some of the salads were vegan/some vegetarian/some meat-based. They also had gluten free bread available & several desserts. I couldn't resist buying a couple bags of their house-made granola to take home. If I lived in Evansville, I'd be a regular. Only regret is that they don't have wifi. This could be a great place to work on your laptop otherwise. read more

I happened upon this quaint little cafe' when I was looking for a place to eat and work. I had looked it up and read a couple of reviews. The reviews were good so I thought I would try it! I was not disappointed! I had the "When Curry Met Wrap"...a vegetarian choice and "Tangled Up in Bleu" side salad. It was romaine lettuce, blue cheese, dried cranberries, walnuts, and vinaigrette. Both were delicious! The price for my meal was a normal cafe'/bistro kind of price but so worth it. It had a relaxed atmosphere and a great place to work! This place has two of my very favorite things. Healthy, creative salads and delicious, decadent desserts. I'm a paradox, I know. My vegan boyfriend and I always eat at this place when we're in Evansville. Some Lauren approved salads include: the curried quinoa, the asian salad, the three-bean salad, and anything with sweet potatoes in it. The fruit and vegetables are always fresh tasting. There is variety of creative-looking chicken salads, but if you're veggie like me, you will not feel neglected. The choices of salads changes often, so if you've got a favorite it may not always be there. I've yet to try the soups and sandwiches (I'm always lured by the Three's Company- three salads of your choice with some yummy bread), but they're there if that's your thing. And oh, the desserts. My boyfriend loves the granola cookies that just happen to be vegan. The cupcakes are always insanely moist and yummy. The best cupcake I've had- ever!- was their vegan chocolate cherry cupcake. There is usually some variety of muffin or brownie, and occasionally they've got pies and cheesecakes as well. Like the salads, the selection is always changing but you can't go wrong with anything they've got. The decor of the place is bright and artsy. Even the bathrooms look exceptionally nice. Oh, and don't leave without picking up some of their chocolate peanut butter granola. It's like freaking cookies for breakfast. Need I say more?! read more

Pretty dang good, I'm only in town monthly and This place is hidden, it's in front or behind of McDonald's depending on what direction you're coming from. A very good portion of food and prices are definitely fair for what you get. My only complaint was the lady that opened the door for me had gloves on and didn't change her gloves, she went and started touching cookies in the display case. I think she was filling an order. Otherwise food was great and so was my service. (Not the lady that didn't change her gloves) The lady that helped me was a shorter blond haired lady, the other lady, that didn't change her gloves was bigger and taller. read more

Definitely one of the best lunch options in Evansville. Lots of delicious and healthy lunch options. I had a wrap with curried almonds, goat cheese, and romaine lettuce. Very unique flavor combination and delicious. Great customer service as well. The kale salad is pretty tasty, not such a fan of the tortellini though. I got two cookies for the road, the no bake is decent and the kitchen sink cookie was my favorite. Also picked up some Heart of Flax granola but did not yet get to try. read more

Went here because another review said they had gluten-free bread options. Was disappointed to find that is no longer true. Was told that the chicken salads are gf & a few salads. Was out of time & starving so picked 3 from those. Got sick later in the day, recognized gluten symptoms. Miserable night followed. Won't be back. read more

Don't let the psudohipster, hippy flair scare you off. This isn't one of those trendy looking spots with mediocre food that seem to pop up every once in a while; the food here is amazing and original. I typically order the threes company, which is three of any fresh lunch choices served with a white or wheat roll. I typically go for the balsamic chicken salad, jalapeno macaroni and poppy seed vegetables. All are extremely fresh and delicious. I'm not sure how healthy the Mac and Cheese is, but the flavor is incredible. The service is quick and prices reasonable; my only complaint is they are not open on Sundays. read more
