DoorDash order ********* I got the breakfast burrito with angus steak & egg with cheese grits and an apple juice. Wraps could have been toasted (no option) quantity was small for price. Comes with 2 small burritos. The flavor was good and the egg was cooked to perfection. The cheese grits were salty and could have been more in the small cup. Apple juice did the job. This place is super cute. Located in downtown Evansville, it's accessible in an office building that has a parking lot which makes stopping in super easy! I came for breakfast and grab the vegan bagel (everything bagel with avocado and tomatoes), a side of cheesy grits (I'm clearly not a vegan), and the central perk latte! I could go here every single day and never get tired of it. The staff are so friendly it's almost criminal, and they have this uncanny ability to remember every single person (and their order) who's been here more than once. The coffee selection is on point and all their baked goods are made fresh from scratch daily (you can truly taste the difference). Both their breakfast and lunch menus are extensive but no exhausting and I have yet to taste something that I didn't enjoy immensely. If you need a good place to work, I suggest before the lunch crowd starts rolling in around 11/11:30am, but their wifi is strong and reliable (and free), the atmosphere is comfortable, and the tables are plentiful. Honestly only complaint is that there's only two available outlets, so don't show up with an uncharged laptop. All in all, this place is a local treasure and if you're in downtown Evansville for any reason, work or whatever, def check it out. read more

LOVE THEM! This is one of my favorite lunch spots. The workers are amazing and remember me even when I'm just calling in! This is absolutely the best coffee/sandwich shop in a hundred miles. Everything is absolutely wonderful. The pastries and baked goods are exceptionally good. They make the best French dip I've ever eaten. Period. There is an excellent and creative coffee and drinks menu. ( The Flat White is my favorite.) I had the breakfast club sandwich with cheesy grits. Delicious and filling! I'm not a coffee fan, so I opted for orange juice which they served in a handled mason jar mug! However, it looked like they had lots of flavored lattes and even loose leaf tea options. Great atmosphere, was able to have a work meeting here and there was plenty of table space to work with. The food was very good and the portion size great. The only negative was the biscuits and gravy were just warm and not hot, so I ate them first lol. Good local spot with excellent customer service.

I finally got to try Sidewalk Cafe today for lunch after hearing so many good things. Sidewalk Cafe…read moredid not disappoint. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted within a few seconds by staff. The cafe was busy, but orders were taken quickly and arrived just as quickly. I ordered today's special which was the tomato basil turkey wrap. I ordered the cheeseburger soup as my side and added a side of broccoli salad and a slice of strawberry cake for later. Everything was amazing. The ambiance was great with plenty of seating. I look forward to returning and trying something new. I'm excited to recommend Sidewalk Cafe to others!

I obviously needed to snag a couple stickers and a bag of roasted coffee to take home to try. I'm a whole bean kind of gal, so I was happy to see they were selling whole beans with the option to have it ground for you in-store. These are the drinks I walked away with... Lavender lemonade (pre-bottled) Iced Mama Bear Chai (a honey syrup with a banana cream cold foam) Iced Baklava Latte with Soy (a recommendation by the barista) Iced DECAF Brown Sugar Latte with Soy (recommended by the barista) In total, so 4 drinks, 1 bag of beans, and 3 stickers came out to $50. I was a little shocked by the price. I'd expect that or something close to it in Ohio, but I wasn't expecting Evansville to be so close in price (that's probably just due to ignorance and lack of being back in town, if I'm being quite honest). For the quality of everything I got and for the sake of supporting local, I'm not mad and would do it again! The baristas were super sweet and surprised I'd just trust them to make me whatever they suggested. They wanted my opinion as soon as they were done making everything. At first, the Mama Bear Chai sounded odd. I couldn't picture the honey and banana in a drink, but once I tried a sip, it was delicious!!
