Jesse and his team are VERY professional, patient, knowledgeable and their concentration on safety is unmatched. I have experimented with a couple of other kiteboarding schools and OTH made me feel comfortable, safe, and part of their team. I highly recommend OTH if you are researching places to learn to kitesurf or if you want to excel in your skill levels. Bonus: OTH offers kiteboarding trip packages during Belmont Shores' offseason (Nov-March). We called asking about longboards and Tony told us to come in and check out what he has. As soon as we walked in, I felt uncomfortable. He was looking me up and down and it felt he was already assessing my level of ability based on size. When we told Tony we were looking for boards he suggested soft top boards. Not a problem but we told him we had been learning on glass boards and preferred looking at those. He then proceeded to say "Oh! So you're popping up and riding waves? Wow. Not to sound like I'm better than you but most people who learn from non professionals are already doing 5/6 things wrong..." I then immediately walked out. Tony was extremely disrespectful and made my husband and I both uncomfortable. Do not recommend coming in at all. Highly would suggest not coming in if you are a woman of any larger build. Perfect sunny day to be out on the sand. As we enter the venue, there were so many food trucks, games, and activities to do. You can sit on the sand and watch the surfing competition. Really cool to see, but I was mainly there for the concert. It was a good one! Had a blast with amazing people. We were making friends enjoying their companies. Going to a concert at the beach makes it more exciting completely a different experience.

I would give less than 1 star if I could. I ordered an H18 traveler assembly from them about a…read moreyear and a half ago (alongside a lots of other parts and accs). It has been on backorder this entire time and still is. I finally found one at another shop online, so I called them and asked to cancel the order and refund it so I could get the ONE available elsewhere. These are hard to find. They said they would do it, but it might take a week or so as it is an old order. Now over two months later and after numerous e-mails and phone calls, I have been told basically, "Sorry, we can't refund it, accounting says it isn't possible". This is nonsense, it is a $200 part, the owner could refund me from petty cash or his own money and write off the expense. I will NEVER shop here again. This is literal theft, they took my money, never delivered the part and refuse to refund a cancelled order. Unbelievable!
