We ordered the move in special for our new house. When we showed up afterwards, the place legit looked the same as when we did the walk through. I took photos of the piles of hair left next to the toilet, the sticky residue left by bottles of something in the kitchen cupboards, a body piercing ring on top of a dirty heat register, and a towel covered in filth after I wiped down the kitchen counter. The response I got was defensive and full of excuses, and I was offered 25% off, which absolutely doesn't begin to make this situation right. I was told my rag was dirty because they don't use harsh chemicals. I wiped that up with an essential oil wipe, guys. Essential oils. I have yet to find any evidence that anything was cleaned at all. Literally anything I wipe down is filthy. I'm tired of dealing with them, so whatever, but I would absolutely never recommend them. I was hoping we could hire them down the road for regular cleanings, but definitely, definitely won't be doing that. Don't make my mistake. read more

This is a follow-up to my original review and a response to the owner who responded to it (see below). It's funny that a business takes the time out to respond to reviews, but instead of apologizing for poor service, they use Yelp to invent PR responses about firing clients for "ongoing rudeness and disrespect." Actually, my wife made all of the appointments and managed the cleaning visits throughout the entire time of service. I never spoke to them expect to say hello on the rare occasion when I was home during a cleaning. I know the cleaners loved my wife. Which is to say, the supposed "ongoing rudeness and disrespect" couldn't have been more than the final complaint letter I wrote (the first one my wife wrote). I'm pasting the letter below (some names changed) so everyone can see what constitutes "rudeness and disrespect." In other words, when you complain in a professional way about service you paid for but did not receive, you will be "fired." Ironically, there is another term for having to pay someone for something you did not receive. It is called "stealing." If you read the whole letter, you can see that we were "fired" in the loose and melodramatic sense of the phrase, a la "you can't fire me because I quit!" The letter ends with me essentially terminating the service, so I don't know quite what they mean by having fired us. This is the kind of quality and drama you can expect with this company / owner. Fun! If you live in the area of North Kitsap, give "Simply House Cleaning" a try. I have discovered they offer better service, cheaper rates, and are still all-green cleaning. ---------------------------- Hi, Kayla: My name is WC. Kathy and I are your clients in Poulsbo. Earlier we also had service in Kingston. I believe we have been a customer for almost a year and a half now. I'm writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the cleaning we received yesterday, as well as what I consider thematic problems with your service in general. The cleaners were supposed to arrive between 1:00 and 1:30. They arrived at 2:30 and because they were late to arrive, they then rushed through their job and did not complete all their work. Kathy then had to ask them to come back inside and finish properly, but even then they rushed and did a poor job. Moreover, someone broke the sliding shower door in the master bedroom yesterday and didn't mention it. The door was working in the morning when we took a shower, but was completely off the track after cleaning. It's ridiculous that someone wouldn't take accountability for it or even mention it, but instead left me with this problem. I can't help but believe that the rush job contributed to whatever happened to the door. The bigger problem here is that this isn't the first time we have had this and other problems (scheduling) with your service. I'm sure you're aware that we had specifically asked for Lisa to come here for many months, so much so that someone communicated to Kathy that she no longer works for you. In fact, we specifically asked for Lisa because the quality of work was so markedly different when she came. It wasn't that she just worked harder and did better work (although that is part of it). She also acted as a manager for the other cleaners, and made sure they completed their work properly. Every time she was here, she pointed out things they had missed and directed their efforts. Now instead of Lisa supervising and finding problems, the burden instead again falls upon me, the customer. It seems absurd that I am paying for this ordeal. I'm a successful business person myself and don't appreciate paying for a service that I don't receive while wasting my valuable time. We have service every three weeks and always leave a tip. By my calculation that is $4,160 annually, well over $50 an hour. Are we receiving premium service for these premium prices. Most certainly not. At this point I have to ask myself why I'm not contracting my own untrained staff, since that seems to be what you're offering me. I could buy my own green cleaning supplies and expect similar results from someone here in Kitsap off of Craigslist for $15 or $25 an hour. I'm displeased to be wasting my time writing yet another email on this subject. Frankly, I'm not sure you could dissuade me from canceling the service at this point. This past Wednesday we had three ladies from Kitsap Clean come to our home for a deep cleaning. WOW, what a great and fantastic job they did. Talking with Kitsap Clean was very easy and it was very easy to book the cleaning. We will be having them come back for maintenance cleaning starting in two weeks. When they arrived they introduced themselves and were very professional. The cleaning was done in less than four hours. Cobwebs were gone, toilets were whiter than when we bought them. Our marble shower was cleaned with care as we were a little worried about how to clean it. The ladies offered to look up marble and make sure their cleaning supplies would work on marble. I recommend them whole-heartily for cleaning your home! I am looking forward to when then arrive to clean at the end of this month. Kitsap Clean all the way!! read more

Unprofessional. They provide good service, until they don't. Most cleanings are excellent. BUT when they are not, instead of coming out to address concerns, they are just defensive. Two legitimate complaints in 8 months, they will fire you as a client. Now, without warning, they imply inappropriate behavior towards their crew, even though we were never home when they cleAn. Very unprofessional. Be forewarned, you are inviting people into your house. The business owner, after a specific negative review, will, without evidence, accuse you of being "inappropriate" towards their staff. Ask yourself if this is what you want to invite into your home. Here is the email that fired us, there was no phone conversation: Hi Lindsey, I'm sorry you were unhappy with the service we provided again. I feel at this point it may be best to stop providing you with our service as we do feel we are trying hard to meet your requirements and are very sad that you have are unsatisfied again. We will take you off our schedule, and I will also discount your service today by 50%. I used Kitsap Clean for a moving cleaning, and was super impressed with the friendly, hard working crew that arrived at my house. They hit all the details missed by other cleaners in the past including light fixtures, window tracks, cleaning the inside of drawers and cupboards. I didn't notice anything missed at all. Also loved the text reminder that they were on their way and the fact their cleaning solutions are nontoxic. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a stress free moving cleaning service. The only downside might be that they are so popular, and booking last minute appointments might be difficult. read more

I have a condo recently vacated by tenants who did not clean before leaving. I was given a list of recommended local cleaners that when contacted were either unfriendly, nonresponsive or both. One actually laughed when I said I needed cleaning help in December. Who needs that? I found Kitsap Clean on my own, and I will schedule them whenever I need cleaning services again - and I will need them! Their website makes it easy to get pricing information and to schedule online. They sent a confirmation email as a reminder. The cleaning team sent a text message when they were on their way and arrived right when they said they would. I've used several local house cleaning companies, with mixed results. However, I was very happy with the green cleaning service provided by Kitsap Clean and I would definitely use their service again. PROS - Green cleaning. No nasty chemicals, and they didn't charge more for that either. - Easy to book online. It's nice not to have to worry about calling during certain business hours. The owner was also quick to respond by e-mail to questions. - Home cleaning team arrived on time! This has been an issues with several different cleaning companies I've used over the past couple of years. Some don't even call and let you know they will be late. Kitsap Clean even sent a text letting me know when they were on their way. - Professional crew and service. They really did a great job on my 2,200 square foot home in Poulsbo. They did a "Deep Clean" for me (which is required for first time customers, I think), and I don't think I've seen my bathroom this clean since I moved in. I didn't even know some of those stains were removable. Nothing broken or "missing" either. I wasn't there for the whole clean, but when I was, they were working hard. - Easy to pay. I liked the option of paying by credit card online if I want, and not always just by cash. CONS - They only work during regular business hours during the week. Wow, I loved getting our house cleaned by this company!! First, we were able to easily book the appointment online, and they were very upfront about their services and pricing. I received multiple confirmation emails in advance, and then a text when they were on their way the day-of. When the team arrived, they were very friendly and professional and we first did a walk-through of the house together so I could show them the space and point out areas of concern. Then they got to work and cleaned for hours! They cleaned areas of my house that I know have never been cleaned in my two years of owning it, like every baseboard, wall, corner, ceiling fan, window sill, etc. It was so thorough!! They even had a checklist for every room that they were following, and the team leader was regularly checking in with everyone to make sure all aspects were covered. I work at home and they did it great job of working around my office, then coming to clean that when I was at a convenient breaking point. We DEFINITELY plan to use this company a few times each year for deep cleans - it's not really in our budget right now to do it more frequently, but I would rather have it done right by Kitsap Clean, then more frequently by a cheaper competitor. read more

I'm putting one star because I'm forced too. I used Kitsap Clean because my Rental needed a deep clean ASAP to put on the market. I was shocked that they were quoting prices sight unseen. I tried to have them look at rental prior to cleaning because I wanted an exact quote they assured me my quote was a done deal. Then they arrive on cleaning day and suddenly tell me that it will cost more. Also the cleaners were both talking bad about the company to me this made me real nervous as I needed the house perfect for the next day for pictures. Needless to say the cleaners had no common sense. One of them argued with me telling me that they don't clean the window tracks??? Does that make any sense? You clean the window and it's a deep clean but your going to leave dust and debris in the track? Also they FORGOT the oven and Fridge! When I called at 6:30pm in shock I was told they would come back on Friday 3 days later NOT HELPFUL my house was being showed the next day. Also the worker went to her car and smoked 3 times. I'm not ok with someone leaving in and out of my house to go smoke. I don't want to smell it. What a disaster never again! read more
