The other day we were in downtown and were in the mood for Chinese. We kind of found this spot just by pulling up Yelp and taking a chance and I'm really glad we did. It's kind of a hidden spot, next to Julia and Henry's, you walk down a hallway and all of a sudden you're at Kitsune House. So it has that little hidden hole in the wall feel which is awesome. The decor is so fun too with anime characters hanging from the ceiling, it almost feels like you left Miami. We decided to start with some spring rolls which were great, hot and crispy and had a great dipping sauce. For my entree I got the sesame ginger chicken with rice and it was exactly what I wanted. The chicken was so crispy on the outside and the sauce was sweet and glossy but also savory. The portion was good and it came with sautéed onions and bell peppers. The price was also reasonable (which is such a breath of fresh air in Miami because it seems that everything has just gotten way too expensive these days). I'll definitely be coming back. Also whoever took our order was so nice and actually gave us the recommendation on what to order. I've been going to Kitsune Sushi & Ramen in Downtown Miami for work lunches, and it's easily become one of my regular spots. The atmosphere is awesome. The walls are covered in anime art, which honestly makes it feel like I'm hanging out in my own room. It gives the place a really fun and relaxed vibe that makes lunch there feel a little more special than your typical work break. The food is consistently delicious, whether you're going for sushi, ramen, or other Japanese dishes. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared, and the drinks are great too. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I come here almost every week for lunch, and it never disappoints. Good fast casual spot well-hidden downtown. It's sort of burrowed back off-street inside this building so easy to miss, but it's a good option for a relatively good and affordable eat. Mostly noodles and rice dishes. The noodles are the much better value. The rice dish was heavy on rice and flight on filling. Both dishes had good flavor but I found the udon particularly enjoyable. After enjoying cocktails and before a nightcap at their neighbor Right Hand, I stopped at Kitsune House on the suggestion of a fellow celebrant. Their colorful facade with an anime vibe is fun to look at, with the posters and figures. They also have a vintage arcade machine. While there are a few tables to dine in, Kitsune House works perfect for take out as well. I ordered a yummy bowl of General Tsao's chicken with add-on fried rice (the standard price is for white rice) while sipping my drink. The portion size hit the spot; the rice was nicely sticky, there was a good spread of carrots and peas. My chicken itself had a delicious glaze of sweet spice. Keeping it short and sweet -- my gals and I kept stopping here out of pure convenience as our book club meet was right next door in downtown and it turned out to be an absolute clutch find. I love calling it a hole in the wall, but at the same time it really isn't because whoever designed the interior absolutely nailed it. The ambience alone is worth the visit. We discovered Kitsune on the way to the bathroom from Right Hand and we had to stop to grab a bite. Everything is fresh made to order. The seating area is super trendy Asian street food with anime comic adorned walls and stuffies. Very cute. The food was delicious. I recommend the General Tso chicken and the spring rolls. Let me start off by saying the food was incredible--definitely worth checking out. I usually pass them and never thought to check them out, except for this moment of curiosity. They say curiosity killed the cat, but in this case, it brought the cat back to life! Every single dish was delicious. I've never been the kind of person to enjoy egg drop soup, but this one didn't have a slimy texture; it was more like a rich and delectable broth, especially with how cold it is outside. The fried rice dishes were definitely top-tier--I could not get enough of them--and the General Tso steak was great. I have always wanted to check out Kitsune House and finally had a chance with a spontaneous drop in on the way walking home from the bars on Flagler. I figured since it was tucked away it was going to be a cute hidden gem, but it was even cuter than I expected! I loved the anime wallpaper and the seating area with the action figures floating above was so fun. They even had little arcade games to play. I got takeout, so unfortunately didn't have the chance to dine and fully enjoy the vibes, but I definitely appreciated it while waiting. Food-wise, it's kind of Panda Express-like for me, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I love Panda Express. So expect menu items like general tso, ginger chicken, lo mein, egg drop soup, etc. I will say I did find the food to be a little greasier than I'd like personally, but this may be more personal presence. But it does have a ton of flavor and is also seemingly cooked-to-order (unlike Panda Express) so it's served super hot. It was still warm when I ate it after a 15-minute walk back home. It's also very reasonably priced. Service was great - the gentleman who took my order very kind offered me beverages while waiting and apologized for the wait (it really wasn't bad at all though - couldn't have been more than 10 minutes!). It's nice they do have a water cooler for those waiting in case it's hot and there's any wait. Found out about Kitsune from an IG post and put in on my "must-go" list for the maybe 2 times a year I go to Miami. With how infrequently I go to Miami, and how excited I was to try this place, it ended up being a major let-down and I wish I would've tried one of the many other restaurants on my list. You first walk in, and the theme is the same overplayed Anime theme that so many Asian restaurants are doing now. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, because it's Chinese food, with a Japanese theme? It then all makes sense when you get the food. The popular Japanese theme and restaurant name is to attract customers, but then they serve sub-par Chinese food. The great thing about this place, is they have a ton of options for vegetarians/vegans. Any bowl can be replaced with tofu. We got one honey garlic chicken bowl and one general tso's tofu bowl. The tofu was insanely gummy. Felt like you were eating cubes of jello. The sauce was good, although there might have been too much. On the other hand, the honey garlic chicken bowl had very little sauce and was pretty dry, along with the fact that the chicken was so incredibly soggy. I get crispier chicken at Panda Express. The rice in both dishes were pretty bland, which was okay for the tofu bowl as it had a ton of sauce, but not-so-okay for the honey garlic chicken bowl which had no sauce to toss the rice in. 3 cans of soda, and 2 bowls, came to about $40. All in all, it was not worth the money, the trip, nor the $20 parking. I'm giving two stars because of the options for people with restrictive/different diets and the fact that while the food wasn't good, it was edible. read more

They could improve their deceptive online ordering for BOGOs. When I ordered egg drop soup I expected a full container. Instead I got half of two containers. This is not buy one, get one! They tried to explain their serving sizes and offered to deliver more soup. Not helpful when the order takes over an hour. They need to change their deceptive practices. read more

We ordered for deliver since we had a Chinese food craving! We ordered the honey garlic chicken with noodles, sesame ginger chicken with fried rice, egg drop soup and a miso soup. The food was actually good the egg drop soup was just perfect not too thick or salty. Both options of chicken were delicious and hit the spot. The noodles blew it out the park for us. The reason for 4 stars is because the fried rice was NOT GOOD we threw it out, the rice had no "fried rice" flavor the grains were very thin, it was just not it.
