Really, I've found a variety of odd bolts, downspouts, aluminum channel, and other things that I can never find at Home Depot. And the people know what they're talking about. I'm not saying that no one at Home Depot knows anything, but there's a difference. The pipefitter who's working as a Home Depot as a greeter is a nice guy and I wish him all the best, but the guy at Ricci who knows where every obscure nut and bolt is located does me more good. I haven't compared the prices. I doubt if Ricci is cheaper, but my guess is that they're similar in prices and frequently after I go to Home Depot, I have to stop at Ricci anyway.

My experience was as follows: I was walking around the flooring department looking for someone to assist me and was unable to find anyone. I ended up walking over to the design department and asked if there was someone in the flooring department that could help me. The response I got was incredibly rude. "I don't know- is there? I can't see over there." She did end up, making an announcement over the PA for assistance twice. And when someone in flooring did call back, they said they were with someone at the moment - which I of course would wait my turn. This designer proceeded to tell me that there was someone over there and couldn't believe that I couldn't find them. Now I know I was not in the flooring department asking another employee of a different department for assistance, but I still was no pun intended floored. Very disappointed, Home Depot. If you would ever like to hire me for training... I'm happy to share my rates with you!

The garden center is good but neglected. You hear the venders talking about home depot people not…read moredoing their work ect. I am in business and know that customer service is paramount. I was there last week and purchased a roll of Sod and placed it in my car amoung other items. I peeked at it, it seemed ok but I did not want to unravel the entire roll as it makes a mess in car ect. Got home and rolled out the sod to find 90% of it was dead. These things happen someone did not water it or it came in with this issue. Regardless I took a photo and said to myself next time I am in Newington I will show them the photo and get a credit. I went back to store a few days later. I went to customer service and was greated by 3 folks who thought that my issue was funny. They told me that I had to bring in the wet dirty roll of dead sod. I said that is unaceptable.They promptly told me thats their policy. I told then to please get a MOD (manager on duty). A manager did come and explained that they are just doing there job, its company policy. I explained that I had a sales receipt and photo. She promptly gave me a credit. Its the beginning of May and we have not had any days over 70 degrees.Why is this happening? I will not be returning to this store that has no customer service. Why did this happen, and why is the customer inconvenienced? Someone did not do their job. No one said I am sorry for the inconvenience!!! Pass the buck and stick up for employees is not a policy. I will be sure to tell all my neighbors and friends. The policy and attitude of this Home Depot in Newington is a disgrace.

Stopped into Lowe's, Greenland, NH Tue. April 15 to price a tool chest. Found a Craftsman and took…read morea picture of it on sale, $399. Spoke to 2 salespeople and asked lots of questions, including military discount, in stock, and cost of delivery. I decided $79 was too much. i told I would be back with my SUV. Came back Saturday night, 4/19 and apparently the sale went off on Friday. Nobody had told me that the sale would end Friday. MGR. COREY would not honor the sale price even though I showed him the pictures and that I was just there on Tuesday. Then he was trying to provoke me by saying you should've bought it them. Moot point. That's the way they treat women in this store. I had bought a home 1 yr. Ago. Bought lawnmower, power drill, snowblower, cellular shades and myriad of other household hardware at Lowe's. I left the store utterly perturbed. However, I returned because I needed the tool chest. Corey wouldn't mark it down to the sale price, but wanted me to open a Lowe's charge and he would give me $100 off.... But I already had a charge. I'm not finished with this story yet.

He was so helpful with guidance and advice. We then ran into Chip who also helped answer lots of great questions we had. The next day we went back to Lowe's and ran into Reed. He was also so resourceful and helpful. Coming from florida. I've never had anyone ever want to help us less if I went to find someone. For some reason this Lowe's has a bunch of wonderful helpful staff members that clearly love the company they are surrounded by. It was so an impressionable visit that I had to give a shout out. Thank you Lowe's for helping this city girl from learn about how to best live and enjoy the New England way. I've never had a great experience at a Home Depot and Lowe's. Honestly it felt like the workers hated when people needed something. I didn't see that happen here. Everyone was walking around, scouting to find someone to help. What a wonderful place to visit. Thanks so much for the great service and value Lowe's off of Greenland! Your employees are happy and they show it!

The selection is endless and the store is really set up for dealing with people who know what they're doing, so I go to the web site, find what I need, print out the page, and bring it with me. The store is around the back of the building, so drive to the back and people will think you know what you're doing. If you happen to go at lunchtime and you like Greek food, be sure to check out the nearby Cafe Nostimo. It's just a few blocks away and it's amazing.
