My humans visiting family again down south. After a fun filled day, it was time for food. We passed FINS (Seafood and Dive Bar) on the way to the fun. Immediately got the humans attention since they are Shark people. Really cute inside and outside and already looked beachy. Michelle was our server and immediately got us some beverages. The choices were a wide array of food. Sword fish, Fajitas, chicken alfredo, seafood basket and ofcourse a cheeseburger for me. Everyone loved their food. One of my humans is Gluten Free and they had a GF bun. I have to be honest I wasn't thrilled with the extra 3.99 up charge on 1 roll. Portions were great, tastes were great, prices were a little high (our bill was 180 with tip). Michelle was attentive and kept the Ice Tea's coming and checked on us. I saved the best for last. I tried to get a picture of the famous Pineapple Upside down cake. It was gone before the camera came out. I didn't get to try it but my humans said it was the best they ever had. They liked it so much we went back in and bought 2 more pieces. My burger was great and that's what is most important!! Cooked rare as i asked and good taste and a good size. We love to sit outside but was super smokie (even someone smoking a cigar ) and so we missed the outside experience. Definitely not a dive bar or dive bar prices. FINS was hands down the BEST find during our stay in Cape Coral! Such a fun tiki/coastal vibe & total vacation energy the second you walk in. Bonus points for live music that made the whole experience even better! We had the most friendly& funny server ever...the kind that makes you want to come back just for the service alone! Stars of the show: 1. the shrimp and coconut chowder soup of the day was SO flavorful and comforting! 2. Honestly anything with the pineapple jalapeño coleslaw. The grilled mahi mahi tacos were perfectly cooked & topped with just the right amount of seasoning & slaw to let the fish really shine. 3. Key lime pie bites! A little more chocolate than lime, but that's exactly how I like it! Perfect dessert to share. If you're in Cape Coral, then FINS is a must. Fun atmosphere, great food, even better service! A pleasant surprise all around. They call themselves a dive bar, but I wouldn't describe it as such. The large outside area has a tiki covered patio and a bar that is more of a sports bar. Inside was clean and bright. We sat outside at the bar. The service was really great, quick and capable. They have some reasonably priced drinks. The menu is quite large, which always makes me nervous for the quality, but everything we had was very good. My brother had the burger and I had their fresh catch. They serve the twice battered fries, which I love. The asparagus that came with the fish was fresh and cooked correctly. They had live music on the patio that was also really good. The name of this Cape Coral restaurant says it all with a few twists. Sufficient free parking in front of the Key West style tiki hut attached to a blue building boasting an outside multi-table patio with Busch Light umbrellas. The interior was clean with an enormous fish tank with large fish decor on the ceiling and surrounding walls. The server, Athena, was very outgoing and quickly took the craft beer order including a Grilled Grouper Onion Sandwich with a side of mango jalapeno sweet cole slaw. The food arrived within ten minutes and looked great. I dug into the slaw anticipating a hint of heat but only the sweet mango was evident. The grouper was plump and about seven ounces. This was a top three fish sandwich for me so cudos to the chef and owner. The price at $26.00 was steep and not "DIVE BAR" pricing, maybe a few bucks less would have been more reasonable. Haven't been here for a couple of years, but they were busy when we dropped on a Thursday around 1:30. We did snag a seat on the patio. It's a dog and smoking friendly space, but everyone seemed to meld together nicely. Our server Claudia was delightful and very efficient. I ordered a Skinny Margaritas and my wife snagged her coveted Landshark. For food, I went for the market priced Filet-O-Fins Mahi Sandwich-blackened. It was very good, albeit a bit slippery with the tomatoes and lettuce slip-sliding around. The slaw was very fresh and tasty! My wife got two appetizers for her lunch. Been missing this place while it closed for renovations. New menu and OMG NOT disappointed! Upgrades to the beautiful aquarium, very nice. Always very friendly service. Started our Father's Day at Fins Seafood and Dive Bar. Great outdoor atmosphere and service. My husband got the Ahi Tuna Tacos and he said they were the best tacos he's ever had. Very picky about his Ahi Tuna and gave it 5 stars. I got the Fried Oyster Sliders and I have never been happier with a meal. Had an amazing dinner at FINS! New to the area so we are trying out a lot of places. I had the blackened grouper with garlic red skinned mashed potatoes and the green beans. Hands down the best blackened grouper I have ever devoured!! Amazing flavor on a generous piece of fish. It was one of several catch of the days. Hubby had the stuffed flounder which came with one side, so he chose the beans and rice. He also enjoyed his meal. They had live music on the night we went. Monday night. We recently ate dinner at fins. We were seated indoors next to a great salt water fish tank with live coral and sea life that provided nice entertainment. All of us really enjoyed our food. Interesting deviled eggs with shrimp, fabulous and rich NE clam chowder, and great ahi tuna, and grouper/shrimp/scallop baskets. Our server did a fabulous job - kept checking in periodically to make sure we were ok and gave us some interesting information about the fish tank. We topped it with key lime pie bars coated in scrumptious dark chocolate and served on a popsicle stick - I ate one because key lime is my mom's favorite. These are now one of my new favorites too! A great atmosphere with pretty good food. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating. A wide variety of items on the menu from chicken wings, pasta to almost any seafood item you could think of. I ordered fish tacos and they were very tasty with the lettuce wrap. My son got chicken wings and he said they were a little dry. I'm pretty sure they have live music every night and we were lucky enough to be able to take in a few songs before we left. A great selection of craft beer is an added bonus. Food is mediocre, serve is horrendous. Bartender gives amazing service to his friends but once it's the regular customers turn its back to a butt face and the minimum. Thanks for making us feel unwelcomed I'll make sure to wait until I'm 60 to properly fit in with your desired crowd. Whatever his name is he definitely tried to be as difficult as possible. Would want to give them more stars ; a couple things. 1) they now charge you a 3.5% service fee (this is not a tip) 2) I got the seafood enchiladas & sweet potato fries, the enchiladas were way overdone & the sweet potato fries were burnt, how can they serve this? In a hurry to go home, this is why. Oh & it was an upcharge to get burnt sweet potato fries. When I go out for a dinner I save my calories for something like this & for it to be ruined?
