Let me start off by saying I never give bad reviews on anything - I only ever give reviews for good…read moreservice. I've hired various services in my life and never had an issue with another company or person. I usually only like to help a business, not hurt it. However, this was the WORST service I have ever encountered, so I'm making an exception. I made a yelp account to do so, as I am so upset by this service. I told him upfront that I will do so because it was so bad that other people needed to know. Our treadmill stopped working about a month and a half ago. We got it in December 2024, and use it about once a week at most. My husband runs a lot, but prefers the outdoors, so he's probably run on it maybe 15 times total. I do smaller walks, and use it maybe once a week. My husband called for him to come, and that was good - he was prompt and on time. Bob gave us an exorbitant bill with things not agreed upon beforehand - costing a $1k to fix a 1.5 year old treadmill that originally cost twice that. I figured well, there's probably a reason for the premium, and let it go. He needed to order a part, which should take about 7-10 days, according to Bob. A week rolls by with no check-in, so we asked for an update - he gave a very short answer. Another few days roll by, over 10 days, and we reached out for an update, and we get a text saying "Don't contact me again for updates." It seemed a bit rude, but maybe he was overloaded with tasks. The parts came in about 2 weeks after, and then we were gone for a week and a half, so it was about a month before we could schedule it. The treadmill worked for two runs - then died after a week and a half. We ask him to come back and look at it, and he wants to charge us again for his labor/travel (which was costly). He said it was because it was a coincidental issue, but he never actually looked at the treadmill. Bob said it was from overuse, but we use the treadmill pretty sparingly. He noted that Andrew is a runner, but I mentioned he rarely uses the treadmill. He said he wouldn't charge us if he came and it was another issue, but honestly at this point, the trust has been broken. I wasn't even sure we'd get an honest answer about why it broke. We asked him to come and consult on it without paying another $500, as we already were charged for basically half the cost of the treadmill already and it broke a week and a half later. Bob was incredibly rude - name calling, shouting, and he had a terrible temper. We were calm towards him, and he took offense so quickly. So a month later - we're out $1k and still have a broken treadmill. It feels incredibly unethical. He has a lot of positive reviews, but please look at the 1 star ones - they are pretty on par with what I experienced.

I haven't been inside a traditional bike shop in some time, and it was nice stepping back into "simpler times." There was definitely a nice assortment of bikes to fit everyone's riding interests, but none of the crazy modern technology that other larger bike shops use to help with bike fitment, riding simulation, etc. The owner, John, was extremely accommodating the FIVE times I went there, each time to better understand my next bike, the groupset I was best suited for, and overal mental trade study on whether I should even buy one. No pressure whatsoever, he was carefree and offered honest opinion. In the end I bought a Park Tool repair stand and a Trek Checkpoint.
