We contacted Tim immediately and he said he'd come back to fix it. He came out to look at it and blamed it on the people who refinished the pool - that they didn't clean off their boots from the previous white pool job. There are chunks of white in the bottom of the pool. I asked him to come repair/redo the blue finish when the season opened this Spring. For numerous reasons, that didn't work, so we agreed he would come when the season was over and the pool was emptied. He did come on the date we agreed and did fix one of the issues but then told me to fix the white streaks in the blue pool myself. In fact - he blamed ME for the discoloration. WHAT??? When I questioned this, he got really mad, put the cover on an empty pool, packed up his stuff and left without talking to me. Unprofessional...and really concerning. They trespassed with sand,sludge, mud coming over a 6 foot area of rock bed. A man identified himself as pool builder said it was his fault and he would fix it. I am still waiting for him to put the new rocks down. But even worse they have filled the pool and not put a temporary safety fence around it. A child could easily fall in as there are many children and some cut thru the area close to the pool. It is hard to believe this company would not take a simple safety measure

The tech showed up and confirmed that he was testing for air leaks in our pump. Then he realized he didn't have the right size gasket for our brand of pump, so he couldn't perform the test. He assured us we wouldn't be charged for the $150 service call. About an hour later, I realized the charge had appeared on our bank statement. My husband called and left a message - but the owner called ME back instead. The guy was a complete jackass to me over the phone. He kept interrupting me and talking to me condescendingly. He also said that anytime a service truck so much as leaves their premises, the customer gets charged for the service call. I asked him why I should pay for a service call when I received no service, and he claimed that nobody had written down the reason for the service guy to come over. Which is ridiculous. (Why would anyone have come over without knowing what we needed them to do? Anyway, the service guy TOLD us why he was there as soon as he stepped out of his truck.) Then, for some reason, he asked me to describe what the service guy looked like. I hung up on him at that point and told my husband to call him. After my husband threatened to complain to the BBB or perhaps even file a complaint for theft, the owner agreed to refund the service charge. He did tell my husband that he was going to take the money out of the service guy's check - which is illegal. If he did, I hope the employee reports him to the cops and the National Labor Relations Board. The owner of Cincinnati Pool and Patio is a dishonest creep. Stay away from this business.
