This review is in regards to Mario's Auto Repair located in Marietta, GA. I was experiencing an issue with my car with the check engine light and something with my suspension. I looked online and found this shop, read reviews and decided to go in person for at least a diagnostic repair for the check engine light. I arrived at Mario's repair shop and was greeted by a technician that did not speak English, he realized I didn't speak Spanish so went to get the owner, Mario (Who does speak very good English). I spoke with the owner, who's name is Mario in regards to my concerns with my car. This auto shop looks really busy but the owner will make every effort to accommodate you with the diagnostic times. I asked if he could take a look at that day and was told yes. I let him look at my car and we determined the reason for my check engine light being caused by O2 Sensor (Bank 1) being defective. When I say Mario had the best-looking equipment I have seen to do the diagnostic, believe me. He allowed me to see the reading from the diagnostic and advised me what needed to be repaired. I have a 2016 Nissan Altima S (Base Model). He recommended the following things to be completed on the vehicle immediately. The diagnostic fee was $50.00 (Cash or Debit card) which was way cheaper than the Nissan dealership. Results: Need to change out the 02 Sensor in order for check engine light to go off and pass emissions. Recommend to Replace All four Shocks, Sway Bar Link for the suspension I was hearing and feeling. He also took me on a test drive to make sure as well of the recommendation. When his team looked up under the hood, the technician noticed oil leaking from the engine. He immediately called me over to look myself at where the oil was coming from and recommended the Valve Cover Gasket to be replaced and was told that year make and model is known for that issue and could also catch fire if not repaired. It was also recommended that I replaced the inside cabin air filter and the under the hood air filter as well. He also recommended to have the brake release be adjusted and a front-end alignment for the suspension problem I was feeling. He was kind enough to show me all of the issues and provide me a quote of $1,500.00 for the parts and labor and could be done the same day if needed. Of course, in this economy, who has that kind of money to repair the vehicle same day, I didn't however Mario's provides in house financing that you can use to make the repairs as well, if YOU qualify. This shop uses a partnership to get you qualified for service, it's called "Snap Finance". I have used Snap Finance to do other things, they provide a 100 Day Same as Cash option for you, which has worked for me in the past so I agreed to allow him to do the work and use them again. Mario was even kind enough to drive me home, I live in the area of this location and was told he would contact me by end of day to come back to get the vehicle. This conversation took place on a Friday, 5/10/2024 to be exact around noon time so I knew in my mind, this car won't be able to picked up by end of day and he did have other cars in the shop that were being serviced. He did call me by the end of the day to advise me that I wouldn't be able to pick the car up because they were still working on the car (Which was completely fine with me as well). The next day Mario did call me and advise me that my car was ready for pickup. Now, I didn't have to pay anything until I picked up my car which a great option for me as well and would also show me my old parts and what completed as well. I arrived at the shop to Mario already taking my car on a test drive to make sure the issues were resolved as well. He then took me directly on the test drive as well. His motto is, do the drive right the first time and I can tell he stands by his auto repair shop guarantee. After the test ride, he allowed the technician to show me the defective parts and also what was completed with my own eyes. He also allowed the technician to show me the under-hood repairs as well before paying anything to his shop. He also provides a 1-year guarantee on parts and labor. I was very pleased with the staff and service here. I write this to say, * Would I recommend this Auto Repair shop? Yes, by all means. * Did the team provide great customer service? Yes, even in the language barrier situation. * Would I come back to let this shop work on my car again? That's a big yes, what auto repair shop takes care of its customers from the start of service to end of service. * Was the shop very communicative? Yes, kept me in the know of all the day to day steps for my car. * Did the shop provide financing options? Yesterday I found my power steering going out and being really hard to turn. There was no other auto places open on saterdays besides Mario's! As pulling in to the lot, my car completely turned off. Luckily some guys came to my rescue and helped me. They were very friendly and they gave my car a look. I just had a corroded battery so they cleaned it up and sent me on my way. I wanted to thank the blue eyed el Salvadoran man (my anxiety made me forget his name) for being so sweet and kind while I'm over here panicking. This place was recommended to me as I wanted to install a front spoiler on my car. I arrive there on Wednesday and Mario asks me to return the next day at 8.30am. I arrive at exactly 8.30am the next day and Mario asks me to go grab coffee and come back at 9am. I return at 9am and he just ignores me, gets into another car and drives off. I basically had a horrible experience here. There commhnication clearly sucks and im neither going back nor recommending this place to anyone. Go at your own risk. Had a few issues with my car, my friend recommended Mario to me and he did a great job and fixed my first issue, took it back to him for something different since my check engine light came on, he diagnosed it for a sensor but insisted to drive it around and bring it back the next day , the end result it was a completely different problem !
