Double Barrel Blonde Stout.
Nick G.

Stopped in for a beer while in Skagway for the day. I ordered the barrel aged stout which is a double blond stout (go figure.) it is aged 2-3 months in Four Roses barrels and was fantastic!!! Highly recommend!!

A great brewery in town with plenty of tables. They have a great selection. You can also enjoy seating out back when the weather is nice. Staff are always friendly and the menu has a good selection of beers. It is usually busy when we stop by as it is a favorite with locals and tourists.

Stopped in for a beer as we were heading out and loved this beautiful older building and brewery. Gorgeous wood work, very friendly staff, and a large swag area! We tried two beers and they were both very good! Great place to relax, with seating in front of and in back.

We came there in the end of the season (September), so alas, they were out of the two coveted items of mine: raspberry blond beer and salmon chips. Bummer! Our super firnedly server informed us that they ran out like a month ago - I guess it has been a crazy busy tourist season. We still got a flight to taste, but nothing really stood out. If you are looking for some noshs, their choice is a little limited... But a great way to support the locals if you are in town!

We stopped into Klondike to try their beers and have a sitdown after walking around downtown Skagway. We were greeted warmly and seated on their heated back patio. It was comfortable and heated. Our waitress was super sweet and took our beer order quickly. I got the Devil's Punch Bowl Raspberry Wheat. The beers were both very good and we enjoyed some quiet conversation on comfy benches. Our waitress checked in a few times to make sure we were all good. While we only stayed for one beer, this is a quiet little cozy spot at the edge of downtown Skagway that is definitely worth checking out.

Really cute spot loved the patio and atmosphere, great place for larger groups or just a couple. Service was excellent, our server was the sweetest and gave us some local recommendations. The drinks and beer was solid but not my favorite I had in port but definitely still worth checking this place out!

This was some of the best beer we had throughout our trip in Alaska. They had a dark beer that was the best I've ever had barring no one. I think it's called the Revenant. What a name. And I'm including European beers in that comparison. We sat out on the Adirondack chairs. There was an overhang and it was really cozy. The weather was definitely cooling, but we had a heater and remained very comfortable. The only problem is those Adirondack slope you back and the beer is so good, you don't wanna leave...

We loved this spot. Skagway is already our favorite stop on the trip but this brewery had not only good beer but the service and ambiance was the best. Shoutout to our girl Destiny for sharing her story with us and making us feel right at home.

While visiting Skagway, someone highly recommended us to try Spruce Tip beer. Then specifically we were told that Klondike Brewing Co. was the best. Enter Austin Lincoln: We were pleasantly surprised and to be honest a bit shocked by the care and service which this Head Brewer showed us introducing us to their Whipsaw Spruce Ale. He explained the beer brewing process as well as the specific additions used in the Spruce tips process. Spruce tips even contain vitamin C ! Wonderful experience tasting this newly found beer - and I strongly dislike beer!! Would strongly recommend and would absolutely return.

Stopped in to try a locally brewed beer. Seating is a bit of a challenge, my wife is less than 5' and there are either high-top tables or no tables. We ordered drinks and the Smoked Local Salmon. The beer, the local Spruce Tip Blond, was good and the snack was very good. Our server was helpful. House-made root beer is very good.

This place was recommended by one of the summer workers who frequented the place. One of the best things about it is the back patio. You can sip on your brew while looking out at the mountains. We enjoyed a Slag-weizen and Sluicehead Pilsner.

Great beers! Beautiful back patio. Loved the coffee beer. We are from Utah and are completely deprived of beer that's good. Such a treat!

The brewer who did our tour was super enthusiastic and fun to hang out with. He made sure our glasses were topped off and gave a great talk about the workings of the brewery and his passion for beer. We got to try three 8-oz samples and a full pint, all included with the tour. The beer was good and the root beer was great. I highly recommend that you make sure to try the root beer and the coffee stout; they were the most delicious. The lighter beers were good too, but not as flavorful. The tour was too short, though. Our day in Skagway was quite long, and this only filled part of the afternoon. And it could easily have been longer, too, since getting people to chug four glasses of beer in less than an hour really rushes the experience. The bus company that took us to and from the brewery was also very good. The drivers talked extensively about the town and its history, even fielding impromptu questions.

This is a neat looking facility WAAAY out on the edge of town (follow Klondike Hwy across the…read moreriver). The place is a brewery that apparently also does tours, food, and, from what we inferred, a bit of live music from time to time. We were only there long enough to taste beer, so I can really only speak to that. We did a tasting of six beers, and I can't say I much cared for any of them. A lot of them had a sour, funky kind of thing happening, which, if it was intentional, was just not to my taste. Some of the heavier ones were okay (bigger flavors masked some of the funky), but we couldn't finish the lighter ones because of it. At least the service was good.
