Great spot for an iced coffee and a cheesecake slice. Extra appreciation for the water spout next to the cashier! We did a hike prior to coming here and it was great. Indoor seating is nice to get away from the cold with a Mountain View!

I think this is the only coffee shop in town. Saturday they don't open until 8am and I arrived to a line out the building (open earlier please). Cute coffee shop and I enjoyed my latte (just the right temperature and amount of froth). Also ordered a breakfast burrito. It had eggs, salsa, sour cream, black beans, and generous amounts of bacon pieces. Was disappointed they burned the tortilla and instead of using another one just tried to SCRAPE the burnt parts off. Don't do that!

4 stars Since it was a rainy day in Skagway, I decided to skip the shore excursions and opt for some museum hopping. However, many of the museums don't til 9am, so I meandered over to the closest coffee shop I can find. Ordered the Cadbury egg latte which is coffee with caramel & marshmallows at 50% sweet. Coffee was light and creamy. Service was friendly and quick and they're not the chatty type. Ambiance is casual.

This was such a delicious random find! I stumbled upon this place after getting a snack next door and I am so glad I did! This place had some absolutely delicious coffee. Their flavor combinations were also unique and delicious. The honey coffee was my favorite! It was so smooth. The inside has plenty of seating and the staff were all extremely friendly.

I visited this coffee house while in port today. I'm typically a sipper on my ice coffee but I finished this in like 10 minutes flat! The white pass mocha was a white chocolate raspberry iced coffee and it was phenomenal. Since I'm on a cruise, I only have the awful cruise coffee to try and muster up but this was a refreshing change. It's in a great location too and easily accessible without hopping on a bus located at the first or second street after getting off the ship. I also loved all the decor in the dining room and around it made the ambiance cute and enjoyable. There is also a bathroom that is not locked up by key which is nice!

Such a cute and delicious place. Drinks and food were amazing, very fast service, and a chill environment. Would definitely recommend!

This was the only coffee spot open when we were up early, walking around with our toddler. The coffee was fine, the prices high but that was to be expected in some ways. Our croissant was very underbaked, it was still doughy inside. Still would come back, but hope they cook things longer next time. Staff was friendly and helpful :)

Cute coffeeshop ( more like a cafe atmosphere) with fun and creative drink menu coupled with food options. Lattes were not as potent as I prefer.... But on a coldish morning... something warm and friendly staff hits the spot.

Black bear latte (mocha + blackberry syrup) was so good. Place was packed, service was fine.

Loved the extensive options they have here. I got a honey bear latte and it was the perfect amount of flavor and coffee! I recommend getting it hot so the honey can mix in better. Baristas were friendly and fast for how busy it was!

They have outlying over 100 cinnamon rolls daily, which i haven't had. When they're sold out of those that's it. Service is fantastic, their little courtyard has tons of charm and character. Am quite pleased finding this this year. Hope to be back again, they rock here as a small local business.

No. That would require a lifetime of cinnamon roll research and a grant from someone who takes pastries very seriously. What I can confirm is that these cinnamon rolls are really, really good. They're warm, soft, gooey, with lots of frosting and they taste like comfort food in a pastry. Maybe it's the cinnamon roll itself. Maybe it's because I just spent a few days on a cruise ship and I was finally back on land. Either way, it's exactly what I wanted that morning. The bakery also serves a fun lineup of coffee drinks. If I remember correctly, I read their syrups are homemade, although don't quote me on that. I was a little distracted by the cinnamon roll the size of a plate sitting in front of me. The shop itself is exactly what you'd hope to find in Skagway. Small, cozy, and full of local charm. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the whole place feels like it's been part of the town forever. Overall, Lucy's has officially joined my personal Skagway dessert itinerary, right alongside Doughboy's fry bread. Apparently every trip to Alaska now requires at least two unnecessary but completely justifiable sweet stops.

A local recommended the Alaska Commercial Company (ACC) as the place "where rural Alaskans shop." Per their website, ACC operates 37 stores in Alaska with 1000+ employees; we visited the one in Skagway. ACC offers groceries, fresh produce, general merchandise, and specialty items like furniture, electronics, snow machines, and ATVs. Of most interest to us, they were in an easy walking distance from the cruise terminal AND they had a section of over-the-counter medications. Our general impression of ACC was favorable. As mentioned, they stocked pretty much anything that you might need -- at Alaska reasonable prices (meaning that prices are higher than the lower 48 but fair for Alaska). We purchased a generic calcium antacid with 125 tablets for $5.99 (plus $0.30 tax). The aisles were well-stocked, clean, and items were easy to find. The check-out line was relatively short, and moved quickly. The girl who checked us out was sufficiently friendly and efficient. Our item went through at the correct price. There was free parking in front of the store, though we walked from the cruise terminal.

The brewer who did our tour was super enthusiastic and fun to hang out with. He made sure our glasses were topped off and gave a great talk about the workings of the brewery and his passion for beer. We got to try three 8-oz samples and a full pint, all included with the tour. The beer was good and the root beer was great. I highly recommend that you make sure to try the root beer and the coffee stout; they were the most delicious. The lighter beers were good too, but not as flavorful. The tour was too short, though. Our day in Skagway was quite long, and this only filled part of the afternoon. And it could easily have been longer, too, since getting people to chug four glasses of beer in less than an hour really rushes the experience. The bus company that took us to and from the brewery was also very good. The drivers talked extensively about the town and its history, even fielding impromptu questions.

The place is a brewery that apparently also does tours, food, and, from what we inferred, a bit of live music from time to time. We were only there long enough to taste beer, so I can really only speak to that. We did a tasting of six beers, and I can't say I much cared for any of them. A lot of them had a sour, funky kind of thing happening, which, if it was intentional, was just not to my taste. Some of the heavier ones were okay (bigger flavors masked some of the funky), but we couldn't finish the lighter ones because of it. At least the service was good.
