Food was very good and the customer service was excellent. Drove by this place a couple of times and then stopped when they were 1 of the few places open, and so glad we did. 8-18-2024 We had a 12 hour cruise stop in Skagway AK. This is a food truck it has great food, nice people and easy to find. Try the halibut tacos. $22 for three tacos. They hit the spot the chimichurri sauce was very good and not spicy. It was unseasonably warm in the 70's today so it was hot out. They have tables out front or you can stand underneath the awning for a little bit of shade. read more

Not sure if Mexican would apply to this place. I would consider it more of a fusion idea with different takes on traditional dishes. For instance, I ordered the Vegan Chorizo Burrito. I'm no vegan, but like spice. Even the guy there asked if I was vegetarian. But why should vegetarians have all the good food? That burrito was fire! So good, did not taste vegan what-so-ever. But, if I may suggest, take your food down to the Happy Endings Saloon and order your Klondike Ale there. Sit inside for that classic saloon experience or take it out back on a nice day and enjoy a game of corn hole. read more

Alaska & Mexican..... It's a yes for me. It's not in the middle of town but easy and walkable place to find plus totally worth it! . When you are here make sure to stop by and try the taquitos. The barbacoa tacos , shrimp tacos and the sauces that come along with it all. We stopped on the way back from the train ride and no regrets . The service was friendly and fast. There is no cellular data in Skagway!! Arrgh!! We were looking for a place to get internet access and we found a little store that sold really fast wi-fi service in 15 minute increments for $1.50! We were able to secure a rental car for a decent price and then we stepped outside and behold! A little red school bus that had tacos and burritos! Peppers was directly across the street and we were in a hurry so we decided to give it a try! I don't hardly ever try a place if it doesn't have a lot of Yelp reviews and this place only had one official review for some reason. Well... Yelp is suppressing the many other great reviews!! What in the world!? Okay, we ordered the Barbacoa burrito, added 2 premium ingredients(sour cream and jalapeños) and it absolutely blew our socks off!!!! It was as big as your face!! And the flavors were so so good. The proportions were just right. The sour cream is this amazing spicy concoction that is just perfect. It was almost too much food for two of us and we can handle some food. Let me tell ya. We also got the Elote!! It was warm and cheesy creamy smooth. The flavors are addicting!! The owners have a deal with the brewery across the street and you are able to take your food there to eat inside!! We ordered Root Beer at the Brewery and it was easily the best I've ever had! Alright, so peppers is the best Yelp kept secret place in Skagway. I guarantee you will love it. I'm going to crave that burrito for many years to come. read more

Got a $18 burrito literally only had dry pork, extremely limey rice, beans, onions and cilantro 1/10. Literally no salsas nothing you have to upgrade your burrito to get anything good in it. If you want a good burrito expect to pay over $20 for literally only a burrito no sides or anything. Got the chicken taquitos 2 for $8. Weren't anything good or spectacular and the sauce just tasted watery 2/10. Elote tasted like frozen corn with a hint of grill scrapings and a glob of mayo 1/10. The cashier was nice and helpful and the food came out fast. Not really anywhere to sit but they did have a hammock so that's cool. Bad food though 1/10 I would not go back. read more

Went here against our better judgment. I'll start off by saying we should have not eaten the food after we took the first couple of bites. We should have gotten a refund. It's typical "Mexican" food that you find in places that don't know what good Mexican food is like. Sort of like they went to chipotle on a trip to the lower 48 and said "hey let's rip this off". The food is expensive. Made even more so by the fact that it's a tourist trap. We spent $40 for 3 tacos and a burrito. The taco shells were bad. Just no flavor. The chicken tasted like it was precooked, frozen, then reheated. The onions were gross. The burrito was the same meat and onions but with a ton of rice. The burrito was about 2/3 rice and the other 3rd was everything else. We gave this place the benefit of the doubt because trying to find good Mexican food outside of Southern California is nearly impossible. But we didn't eat most of the food and we really should have asked for a refund. read more
