I had seen this place all over social media so I finally decided to stop in. A patient of mine…read morementioned she was going to get a smoothie from here when she left our office so I went in that same day. I'm glad it's only about 3 minutes away, and I was even more glad that there was no one in there when I arrived. After I placed my order, the lunch crowd rolled in, ha!! Anyway, I ordered an Avocado Toast (1/2 order) and one of their Phoenix Children's Smoothie. The money they make from those special smoothies goes to support Phoenix Children's Hospital. The smoothie itself wasn't super sweet. In fact, I think it actually lacked sweetness, but I guess that's a good thing because we all could watch our sugar intake, right? They sell a bunch of house made fresh organic juices as well. Idk how much those were, because they didn't have prices on them. They do have a wide variety of flavors combinations to choose from. They also have Kaleidoscope branded merch for sale. I did like my Avocado Toast but I only ordered 1 slice. It tasted good, but I should have ordered 2 slices (a "full order"). There is an indoor dining area as well as some outdoor tables and chairs if you choose to dine outside. The prices are higher than average but that reflects the quality of their products. They don't use any of if the bad stuff. Parking wasn't a problem when I went. There are multiple spots outside the store along the street on both sides. Stop in if you're craving something healthy and not too sugary. Kaleidoscope has got you covered!

I didn't really notice any good place to park, so I did the drive thru. Lots of menus to look at while you wait to order at the window. Since it was my first time, it was a bit overwhelming, as there was quite the selection of food and drink items to choose from. When I got to the window, the nice person working answered all the questions I had about some the smoothie and protein drinks they offered. I decided to order a pomegranate green tea, recommended by the service person. It was surprisingly good. I would recommend that and order again. There are multiple locations around the valley which is convenient. I would definitely stop by here again in the future to try some food or a different drink.

Nearly 10 years later and I'm still stopping by d'Lite. I'll admit, there was a time I had to take…read morea break because I was living off Humanitarian Wraps and 40oz smoothies (basically a lifestyle) Smoothies & Drinks The OG d'Breakfast Buzz smoothie has been around since the beginning.... then came a vegan version and I was all in. My system can't handle espresso anymore (sign me out), but that's basically what the Protein Shake is, Buzz without the buzz. These days I just pick whichever smoothie sounds right in the moment, and it's always good. Cactus iced tea is my favorite, though green tea has been a nice switch... until caffeine reality sets in. JT's Kombucha (maybe)? A solid option. Any juice works. Haven't tried the Italian soda.... didn't even realize it was there until now. Food Favorites Bowls & Wraps: d'Vegan Bowl or Humanitarian Veg Supreme are my staples. I actually prefer the mushroom broth in the other bowl, but both deliver. Southwest Bowl? Yes, but hold the bock-bock (chicken for those not fluent in chicken noises). Burritos: Veggie Burro or Vegan Burro are my go tos now. Back in my meats days, the AZ Burro hit the spot. Breakfasts: Oatmeal Their Way is always a win but may change seasonally. Low Carb Breakfast? Exactly what it says it is. Croissantwich = buttery, flaky goodness. Avocado toast taught me I like Everything seasoning. Other bites: Hummus is solid. Bagels only ever tried sliced with the bowls, never the bialys. Haven't had the egg & cheese either. Sandwiches & Salads Chicken Pesto, so flipping good with mushrooms and tomato on sourdough... "Soft" is the only way I can find to describe. Turkey Club and BLTA? Haven't tried, but man the BLTA sounds like trouble (in the best way). Salads: Kitchen Sink is my pick. Nuts & Berries is good, but candied walnuts sneak up on me the same way dried cranberries do... both taste good, just not my thing. Greens & Protein I haven't had yet. Broccoli side is always a safe bet, if I am looking for a side. After almost a decade (at least), they've nailed something special. Whether I go vegan, not-so-vegan, or just "whatever sounds good today," d'Lite is consistently d'Lish (OG OGs will get that ref ;)). I always drive through, they created a kind of double line... to help with traffic flow... a bit... when it's busy. Tiny spot, high demand. Parking can still be... worth going through the drive through.

I ordered the salmon poke bowl with brown rice. What I received was the salmon poke bowl with quinoa. The iced tea was $5. A side of Brussels sprouts was $8 and very small. Our table had poured and downed almost all of the water in the carafe before I noticed a small black beetle submerged at the bottom of it. When I told the server, he replaced it, but didn't give everyone new glasses. Only me. My friend ordered a wrap and asked for it to be gluten free. The person who brought the food told her that it was gluten free. The server, who had taken the order, came back and told her it wasn't gluten free. He told her he'd replace it and take it off of her bill. It took her forever to get the new wrap. And when she got the bill, he hadn't removed it from her tab.
