We didn't have to wait long at all to get our Acai ordered since there was no line when we arrived. The Acai Bowl itself was quite tasty especially with their array of toppings and mixtures to put inside the bowl. Over the past 12 years, we have literally purchased hundreds of Freezes, so we are very familiar with what a standard size 2 portion looks like. Our first visit to the Scottsdale Quarter location was disappointing. The Freeze serving size was noticeably smaller, approximately half of what we've consistently received at other Pressed Juicery locations. At the time, we didn't say anything to the server, but we did feel disappointed considering the price of $18 for two Freezes. We recently visited the Scottsdale Quarter location again on June 27th while shopping in the area, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, we had the same issue. The product did not even reach the rim of the cup, and the portion size again felt significantly smaller and a rip off. This time, I politely brought up the difference in portion size and shared photos as proof of what is consistent across several other Pressed Juicery locations compared to what we received at Scottsdale Quarter. The response I received was dismissive, and with an attitude the employee stated that this was the "correct" portion size. We will not be returning to this location. I would recommend visiting a different location to get a portion size aligned with $8.95 per cup and not served with a bad attitude. When we got home, the sandwich was completely wrong: turkey with no cheese. My daughter does not eat turkey, so the sandwich had to be thrown away and I had to remake her lunch. Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake, Ruben repeatedly insisted they made the "correct sandwich," which honestly felt extremely offensive and dismissive. I would not exaggerate or fabricate an issue over a $5 kids meal, especially when we spent much more than that there the same day. Mistakes happen -- I used to manage restaurants myself. What matters is how management handles them. A simple apology and acknowledgment would have gone a long way, but instead the response felt defensive and argumentative. Very disappointing customer service experience.
