The male proprietor is perfect. He's smart, attentive to customers, strives to please. We entered the bar shortly after opening at 3. We always appreciate the full experience of a 'dive' bar. This was a better version of the original. Clean. Well furnished with the essential bar stuff and no more. Grateful for lack of dust-gathering 'stuff'. We expected more from the food. Bill was $93 for Surf & turf, veg pizza, a Jack & Coke, beer. And t shirt. So, affordable enough. The pizza crust was straight up off a Food Services truck.

We came in on a Saturday night and it was packed and busy. Service was a little slow due to how busy it was, but we eventually got our menu and order. This place has a pretty solid Pizza. Crunchy crust, melty cheese with a decent variety of toppings for meat eaters and vegetarians. It was karaoke night, so there was music and entertainment. 4 stars for the pizza! Just know that it will take awhile for your pizza but the wait is worth it.

We had a burger and a pizza both were delicious. We were invited to come sit out on the patio to enjoy the beer garden. The beer garden had great vibes. Inside played cool classic rock music and was air-conditioned. The staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcomed.

SUCH a great place to have a good time! Went to this place for New Year's Eve and they had a photo area and good beer! Workers were very friendly and this place MADE me and my friends' NYEs!!!

Good seeing you Dan. Enjoyed the musical entertainment also:) Cold beer and a hot pizza was the highlight of the day. One on one service was pleasant. Promise to stop every chance I get. Can't believe I couldn't finish the small and delicious pizza. Oh well...good for breakfast.

What a great place to stop at for a Bloody Mary in Lakehead! There are new owners and they have done an amazing job renovating and revitalizing it! If you are traveling I5 in Northern CA, I highly recommend stopping here. They have a great restaurant as well. Kudos to the new owners, Danny and Pam!

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

I ordered the breakfast burrito and my partner had some pancakes. The burrito was decently sized tasted fresh and was nice and filling, no complaints there. The pancakes were really good and fluffy. Staff was friendly whipped up some spicy salsa for me since my breakfast burrito needed a little kick and was very attentive. There's a good amount of seating for the size of the place and they had a small bar area which I thought was a nice touch. Solid little spot of people to stop by and grab a bite to eat.

For starters we had steamed clams, calamari and meatballs. For our mains we decided on their Bistro Filet Ravioli, which has Ricotta, Romano, Parmesan, and Asiago jumbo stuffed raviolis, creamy alfredo, chili flakes, topped with their signature pan-seared bistro filet tips. It was amazing. We also had their Ribeye steak at about $53.00. I think it was a 14oz hand-cut ribeye, and it had the best butter on it. It came with mashed Yukon potatoes and marinated asparagus. We will be getting all of this again. We were staying in a hotel so took home some great pasta. The service is great. The food is amazing and the place is just so cute and ever so clean.

However, I was extremely disappointed with my entrée. I ordered the chicken Marsala and it was so bland I was actually shocked. How could nothing on the plate have any flavor? I added salt and pepper twice and that didn't even help. The vegetables had zero seasoning. The mashed potatoes had huge chunks in them and zero seasoning. The chicken and Marsala sauce, tasteless. I saw so many reviews raving about the chicken Marsala. Maybe they got a new cook because the sauce was basically just heavy cream didn't look anything like other pictures people posted. My husband got the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were very good and had lots of flavor but the marinara was also quite bland and the garlic bread was a joke. It was toasted bread with a smidge of butter, no garlic whatsoever. I will not go back for the price. Definitely not worth it. The fried artichokes and salad were good, but the entree is the most important part and they totally dropped the ball. Very disappointing.

The place specialized in their really delicious, freshly squeezed orange juice. The restaurant has a distinct orange colored theme to it and seems like it's well loved in the area. The service here felt a little rushed and not always super helpful. I had some questions about the menu, but the server seemed a bit impatient like she had other things to do. I didn't appreciate this, but sometimes people have harder days than others. The food here was really good! I had the Arizona Enchilada Omelette, which had carnitas smothered with tomatillo sauce. The carnitas were really tender and super flavorful in that sauce. The Orange juice was so good and so refreshing. Perfect for the 107 degree day outside. I would come here just for that orange juice. I also want to mention how much I like that you can get a pancake here instead of toast. The pancake was. Like having dessert after the entree. So glad I stopped here for breakfast, but I do wish the service could've been nicer.

She had an attitude about everything, forgot drinks, and literally just set everything we got at the end of our table and made us pass it down. What the hell. 2: we specifically wanted somewhere with mimosas. They sat us outside in front of the business and then when we attempted to order mimosas, our waitress told us we could not have them outside. WHY DID NO ONE SAY ANYTHING? Why would you not make sure to mention this to guests before seating them? This alone makes me knock off 2 stars. 3: because we were outside, the sun was beating on us. We had kids with us, and there were sunshades about 1/3 down, so I went inside to ask if we could lower them a bit more. I was told they had to be the ones to do it, and someone would be out soon. They never came and did it so we just adjusted everyone best we could. 4: cherry on top? None of the food was worth the trouble. 10 people and none of us felt it was better than subpar AT BEST. One of our kid's meals was the cold turkey sandwich, and it came out as massive chunks of turkey (like straight off the bird) and stale bread. Nothing else. The pearl waffles taste like straight sugar. No other flavor.

We've been going to railroad park resort since the 1990's and eating there every time we come through town - 2-3 times a year. They used to make a great steak, with a deep dark sauce with mashed potatoes and veggies. I recently ordered the steak - $58.00 - making it the most expensive entree in the area (including the high end places in Mccloud, etc) and it had no sear. was under cooked. Had no seasoning. No sauce. The potatoes were rubber and the veggies were gross. The pork chop was similarly under-cooked and had the same sides -so same feedback. I looked for a manager to talk to and couldn't find one. So I messaged them on facebook and they told me I could come by any time and talk to the cook. Where was the cook the night I was there? I was told there was no manager to talk to. I only eat their when vactioning and can't just pop in. I live 5 hours away. If they're going to raise their prices from $40 to $60 for a steak - they need to up their gave. Instead they dropped the ball. The food isn't worth it and they don't care.

The dining car was a special treat, the meal overall was very good but could have been better with a little attention to detail. The rigatoni pasta dish was absolutely perfect , popping with flavor and as good as any I've ever had. We ordered a couple glasses of pinot noir with our dinner and when they arrived they were noticeably warm like 80-85 degrees like they had been roasting in the sun , not a pleasant room temp like they should be. We also ordered a large caesar salad that we all split and the lettuce was warm like it was sitting in a window soaking up the sun, plate was not chilled and even if it was it couldn't have cooled down hot lettuce, salad was light on dressing , the halved petite romaine was very bitter, i've purchased this lettuce at costco a couple times and stopped buying it because the petit romaine tends to be very bitter, i love the consistency of the smaller denser heads of lettuce but the bitterness is unpleasant .....hopefully the chef is tasting his food and can see what he thinks. My wife ordered the pasta with shrimp and loved it! My dad had the rib eye and said it was pretty good but maybe not 57$ good. The pasta dishes were 10/10 amazing , reasonably priced and generous in size , the warm wine and salad is an easy fix, it was a nice treat after a week of camping and cooking to not have to , so highly recommend giving them a try for dinner during your stay!! Mountain scenery was incredible from the campground!! The pool was a little crowded at times but we enjoyed a couple hours of pool time both days. The host in the campground Frank and his dog Reno were great !! We really enjoyed our visit and wouldn't hesitate to stop in again, a lovely place to spend a couple days !!! Thank you!!!Cheers !!
