(This review includes a response to the business owner's reply)…read more I had a deeply disappointing experience with Paul's Windows, and I want to share it so that other homeowners know what to expect before working with this company. I reached out for a small bedroom window replacement and had one key requirement: that the new window, once installed, provide a minimum clear opening height of 13 inches. The sales associate, Art, confirmed via text that the manufacturer (Crystal Pacific) said it would: 13.1875", in fact. That was fine by me. But when I asked for that specification to be confirmed in the contract, in writing, Art refused. Let me be clear: I wasn't asking for a personal warranty on the product. I simply wanted confirmation that the installed window, as ordered and managed by Paul's Windows, would meet the functional requirement I had clearly communicated. Art repeatedly deflected, referring to "what the manufacturer said," but was unwilling to take responsibility for the result. When I asked for accountability, he became dismissive and eventually walked away from the job. I contacted Paul directly, hoping for a more professional response. Instead, I received a generic brush-off and a claim that the window wouldn't meet the specs, which contradicts what their own sales associate had already confirmed. Worse, Paul didn't acknowledge or engage with any of the valid concerns I raised around basic customer service, transparency, or professional responsibility. Ultimately, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was hiring a company to manage a job and deliver a specific result. If something went wrong, say, the manufacturer provided a window that didn't meet the spec, it would be on the contractor to resolve it, not on me to go chase down the supplier. That's what any responsible company would do. But Paul's Windows made it clear they don't see it that way. If you're okay with vague communication, contractors who won't stand behind their own work, and potentially being left to deal with problems on your own, maybe this company is fine. But if you want clarity, professionalism, and accountability in writing, then look elsewhere. § Paul's response below is a classic damage control move -- polite on the surface, but full of deflection and quiet rewriting of events. To clarify: the window in question would have met the required 13" clear opening. That wasn't in dispute. Art, their sales associate, confirmed that in writing and was fully prepared to proceed with the job -- until I asked for a simple written accountability. That's the moment everything fell apart. Paul's follow-up misrepresents the timeline and sidesteps the core issue -- not whether the window would fit, but whether the company was willing to stand behind the result they were being paid to deliver.

Den Defenders just finished installing our beautiful new security door and it is fantastic! This…read moreis no typical security screen door. It is a wall of security. We had always wanted the convenience of a screen door for airflow, light and cooling, but have escaped artist pets and still want to feel safe inside. We also have a custom door that didn't have much framing and very little wood to work with. What caught my attention when seeing an ad for Den Defenders is that they specialize in doors that have this issue and can build in a secure mount for your door and make it solid! It is so beautiful too and highlights our glass panel door so nicely! Neighbors are already curious and complimenting how it looks! Thank you Donnie for your expert craftsmanship on the install and security lock, and to Alex for the quote experience and answering our many questions. Give these guys a call, it's worth a consult and every penny for this quality! Attached are lots of photos so you can see how it looks from outside, inside, door open and closed. Enjoy!

Per AI, a mixed bag of good and bad reviews on Google…read more I'll start the good with Darrell who was the salesperson thar I purchased the door through in January. Yes, there may be the same security door out there for much less, but I trusted him. The agreed installation date would take up to 3 months. Two days before the install date, in mid-April, I wondered why there wasn't any reconfirmation. So a call to their "customer service" I learned the door wasn't even ready yet! But was told it would be ready the following week. Then the installer came out and realized the manufacturer had built the wrong door!! After calling Darrell it was determined it was the factory's mistake. Ross (the installer who works out of California) said he would be back within the next month and I would be first on his list to complete the job. As the revised date, in mid-May (3rd date change by now) approached, their dispatch called and put the installation off by another week. I had a trip planned and could not change so was told it would be June. After another call to Darrell he had a manager call who apologized and he would make sure the door would be installed on the agreed upon date. Instead, they came out the week later while I was out of country. Fortunately I had a family member at the house then and the security door was finally installed - four months after the initial meeting. From the pictures Ross sent to me after he installed the door it looked great. But now they wanted payment of the balance I owed (they take 50% upfront as a deposit which is non-refundable by the way). I told them I wasn't going to pay them from an unsecured site I was at and would pay them as soon as I returned - which I did. All in all, the door looks great and I'm very satisfied with the work Ross did. I appreciate the effort Darrell made to get the door installed. BUT, their customer service is absolutely terrible. They don't answer calls back in a timely manner and their lack of good communications is the worse I have encountered with any contractor that I have worked with. The 4 rating is for the door and the installer. Otherwise I would rate Dan Defenders a 1 for lousy communications and a lack of urgency to help the customer.

I wanted to remodel my wife's shower as a surprise while she was away. Justin was referred by someone to me. When he came he was all "yes sir" and polite. It started ok with the demo. What went wrong after that is what I've found since I actually got a proper company to do the work. 1. The floor was put in place without plumbing under the house 2. The floor was very unstable and bouncy 3. The drain he connected wasn't even glued to the drain line 4. The cement was placed incorrectly 5. He used some sealing mat4tial that he slapped with a brush that is actually not meant for shower. Then he starts putting up the hardiebacker cement boards without even putting up waterproofing paper!!! In the process he's complaining that I'm checking his work and asking what he's doing as if I don't have a right to make sure the job is done right. He finally comes to work one day to so called continue. Without telling me he took his tools and left and blocked my number!!! Overall an incompetent liar. I suppose I should thank God for having this happened since if he had continued all the leaks would have destroyed my house. Don't even think of giving him a job unless you want a disaster on your hand. Read other reviews not just mine

They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive option during our research, but they've proven to be reliable and well worth the cost. Recently, we needed to repair one of the screens after our pet ran into it, and their team was very accommodating in helping us out. The staff, especially Heather, were friendly and a pleasure to work with. Thank you!
