I love Kneaders but I am very disappointed in this particular location. First the good, the parmesan chips were good. The bad: Service was slow and mediocre, waited 22 minutes after assigned pickup time for two sandwiches. The TBA sandwiches were very plain - barely and mayonaise or mustard whuch we could barely taste, and the turkey was sparse. Very disappointing for the price you pay. The employees were not very attentive. They'll repeatedly walk by a line at the register and the end of the counter without any acknowledgement of me or the other customers. Once I did get someone's attention she was dismissive and made me feel like an inconvenience for being there. I don't need employees to be thrilled that people are at the restaurant but they should keep their attitudes under control. I usually order on the app. The last three times I've ordered from this location (all at different times of the day) I've driven the 15 minutes to the store, waited another 15-25 for my food/to receive help from an employee only to be told that they're out of the sandwich/french toast/soup/cookie that I ordered. They have my contact info from my mobile order but don't let me know about the sold out items until I'm there in person. Service sucks so bad at this location. I love the food from kneaders but this location sucks so bad! I felt like they lied to us to get our order. We came for the unlimited French toast for two of our kids then three of us just got normal sandwiches. They said the French toast would be about 20 minutes after almost an hour we hadn't received any of our food, we went and checked, they said it will be another 10 minutes. We asked him if we could get the second order of French toast going for our girls so we don't have to wait another hour and they said oh you can't order second one they don't get unlimited because they are out. they never told us that when we first bought it, they had to have known, there were only about 10 people in the restaurant and they lied to us about how long the wait would be and they lied to us about how much stock they had to get our business. Food was fairly decent but the service was severely lacking. We went in and placed an order for 3 sandwiches, a side of eggs, French toast, and a few drinks. Asked for the family kit of French toast and the cashier told us that they didn't have enough bread for it. However, there was enough for 5 orders of French toast (which is exactly as much as the family kit). I was willing to wait for the order because it was a large ish order. 30 minutes later our drinks and food were ready. When I arrived home they didn't include any of our sandwiches, the eggs had cheese (which wasn't requested), the iced coffees were hot but in the iced coffee cup, and the chai lattes were actually coffee. I drove back to the store and waited again for the sandwiches. I was quite upset at this point and asked them to remake the lattes as well. Two workers were in front of me when I asked to remake the chais and one of them looks at the other and says "I don't know how to make that and walked away". After the whole ordeal, it was already almost lunch time. Today I placed a website order for 2 sandwiches and 2 cookies. I placed the order at 8:01am for a 8:45am pickup. I arrived at the drive thru at 8:55am and said I had a website order, the staff member said "it's not done, come inside and wait" my response was "it was ordered for 8:45" the staff member said "we have too many orders and yours is not ready, come inside" When I got inside at the counter and asked how long until the order would be, before I could get the whole question out I was interrupted with "we are too short staffed and you have to wait" my reply was, if you had not interrupted me I was going to ask how long because if it was going to be long I need to cancel it because I'm going to be late. Her answer was "then just cancel" I was said yes cancel it and please tell me the mangers name. Her answer was "Elliott, we are short handed" I said "I understand being short handed, but your rudeness and attitude is not needed" She tried to cancel and refund my order, she had to get help from someone else. That person did the refund and put the receipt on the counter. The original staff member looked at me and said, "it's been refunded" I asked for the receipt and she got made, grabbed the receipt from the counter handed it to me and under her breath said "don't come back" This rude behavior and attitude is unacceptable and the person needs some additional customer service training. Total rip-off!!! I had a hankering for pumpkin pie cheesecake and instead of going all the way up to the Cheesecake Factory I figured I'd give a go at Kneaders in Herriman. For starters the girl behind the counter couldn't be more disinterested in anything (work, customers, life, you name it), and when she was processing my order, the girl moved at the speed of molasses. When she turned and finally rung me up I was shocked to see that the itty-bitty minuscule piece of cheesecake fetched the price tag of $6. When I questioned the reality of what I was seeing, the gals best response was a half hearted couldn't care less shrug. It was too late to cancel the order so I made the purchase and hoped that this itty-bitty piece of cake would knock my socks off, but the epic disappointments just kept on coming. No joke this piece of cheesecake was consumed in six bites; I suppose that's the scam: six bites for six dollars. Recently, I offered to treat my grandson to lunch, after he had assisted me in the yard all morning. Olive Garden, 5 Guys, Mod pizza, Zupas, Cafe Rio, Thai, Indian, Orientak, Wingers, barbecue, and several other cuisines were pondered. He decided on Kneaders, my favorite sandwich place. I enjoy the clean, orderly, contemporary, relatively quiet ambience and they are my favorite sandwich restaurant! He decided on the turkey sandwich on Facocia? bread, parmigian chips, and a chocolate bomb. He loved the sandwich, especially the soft, flavorful bread. I almost always order the ranch roast beef sandwich on their Country French sour dough bread, including this occasion! Only in San Francisco have I tasted sour dough bread that I enjoy more than here. I also ordered a small bowl of chicken noodle soup, which is delicious and usually very hot. These did not disappoint! I love their flavor, consistency, and how satisfying they are. This restaurant can be very busy at lunchtime but is usually very efficient at assisting everyone! They have a very good selection of sandwiches, breads, salads, soups, and pastries! I highly recommend them when a "sit down dinner " is not preferred! Every time I order on line and wait in pickup no one comes. I've waited 45 minutes and have to call. The girls always say they didn't see the text on their phone. Today I waited 15 minutes. A customer went through the door and came out and I still hadn't gotten the order that I had placed 45 minutes before. I started texting and texting them that I was there. Eventually I called them and waited 10 minutes on the phone it kept saying i was the next person in line. They were busy. So I got out of the car and went inside there wasn't a customer anywhere. No customers in the drive-through. Three people just wiping counters. The manager said sorry their Wi-Fi was out and it goes to that phone and then they're pagers and she's the last one to get the text. I doubt that, how would the texting system know that the order had not been taken care of by the other people. and I told her I've been calling and it said I was the next in line and again she said oh sorry we have bad Wi-Fi and that makes the phones not work. So they're totally isolated. You can't text them, you can't call them. The only business they must have is if you just walk in. So if I were the manager of this location I would get new employees. When I got back in my car my phone was still saying that I was the next in line to talk to a service customer. I stopped going there but I just wanted something to eat. I don't know what's happening with Kneaders, but my turkey cranberry croissant was so horrible. Kneaders used to be a place I could count on for a delicious sandwich but now this $11 got me less than 2 ounces of turkey, literally 1 leaf of lettuce, not visible cranberry sauce-I had to ask for some-no Mayo or anything to make the sandwich moist, and a fairly dried out croissant. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Im pretty sure that's my last trip there. The one good thing I can say is the fireplace was on so it was warm. Thats about it. read more
