When I used to live in Draper, I was a regular here and ordered the Grilled Veggie Goddess sandwich every time without fail. It's usually packed with greens and huge chunks of avocado, but when I visited for the first time in over a year the other day, the quality of the sandwich was not the same as before. Wow. My first time at a GHB. What an array of delicious-looking goodies. Their bread is excellent and legendary among some circles. When you come in, you are offered a free sample. And this i snot just a bite-sized sample. If you want to try some bread, they will slice up a generous slice. There's a table with butter and honey if you want. Same for the banana bread. "Would you like a sample?" "Yes, please!" And she proceeds to slice up an inch-and-a-half monster slice! So many baked goods to choose from. It's a comfy bakery. I ordered a sandwich and ate in. They have only a very few inside tables. But it was interesting to watch. They doled out huge samples to everyone and was a very cheerful shift of workers. I enjoyed the sandwich and would like to try the rest of their menu. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I proudly and loudly request a breakfast sandwich only to be met with 6 bakers looking at my like "huh"? " We don't have breakfast sandwiches. I'm not sure what to say here that could be helpful. It looks like most folks have had better experiences than I have. In the last few months I've ordered a lunch sandwich from them, and also picked up a cinnamon roll in the morning. Neither occasion has left me glad that I went. My sandwich just wasn't that good, honestly. And the cinnamon roll wasn't either; it was kind of dry and didn't have enough cinnamon. Great sandwiches. Love their breads, particularly the 9-grain. The Yardbird salad is very good, but I'm not a fan of the Green Goddess dressing which appears to have a good amount of raw garlic. I do like their cookies, but the scone on my recent order was dry and the raspberry frosting atop too sweet. It just wasn't a good combo. I think that was out of the norm based on the quality of the other baked goods I have sampled, which have all been excellent. I recently participated in a sugar cookie taste off with six different bakeries, and Great Harvest was one of them. So my review is based solely on one cookie that I tried. I will update my review in the future when I come in to visit. The sugar cookie was Independence Day themed-star shaped, white frosting and red, white and blue sprinkles. The frosting was incredibly thick-to the point where our group was hesitant to try it. Too much of a good thing is, well, too much. The cookie itself was very dry and cakey. The consistency was definitely not what we had expected as a sugar cookie, it was more like a shaped cake. When we cut into it (to split among the group), it crumbled. The taste was also pretty dry-not sweet or sugar cookie-esq. I hate to be a downer, but this wasn't a good cookie. I'd like to visit and try some other menu items. My previous experiences with Great Harvest have been really good. Maybe today was just an off day. read more

Been coming here for close to 8 years when an old company I used to work for was located in Draper. And shame on me for never Yelp'ing it! They started in Montana in the mid 1970's and one thing that is awesome about them are the wholesome ingredients they use that can be pronounced (chemical/preservative free). They have spread out almost all over the USA and glad they have quite a few locations in Utah. What I liked about this place are the freshly made sandwiches, and pastries. This time I noticed that they had breakfast sandwiches and was well pleased by that also. Ordered the all 3 meat option with the sundried tomato spread. So delicious! Location was super clean. This place is not always the fastest, but your food will be fresh. Plenty to choose from for lunch with a varied menu. Should be something for anyone. You have the choice between half and whole sandwich's. I got the combo meal which gets you chips and a drink. Chip selection was limited today. While waiting make sure and check out all the breads and deserts. Lots to look at. My sandwich was delicious. Surprisingly a whole sandwich is a lot to eat in one sitting. I also had a peanut butter cookie. Chose the BBQ chips for my side. Staff was super nice and patient while we perused the menu for what to eat. I've been going to Great Harvest since I was a kid back in the 90s. It was always a nice experience to go get a loaf of bread and a free slice. I even worked there for awhile in high school. The bread has always been a favorite of my family and I . The honey whole wheat bread, the cinnamon burst bread and the cookies are some of our favorites. They also have sandwiches which are usually pretty good. The most recent my husband and I had that was really good is the Turkey bacon avocado. The parking isn't bad, but it's a busy lot, so be careful. The place isn't setup for dining in, so don't plan on staying (unless it's a nice day and you use the patio furniture). Service was slightly slow, and requests for recommendations were met with blank stares, but it was far from disastrous. A myriad of bread samples are free for the taking while one waits. For some reason the A/C was running at full blast despite the cool conditions out-of-doors, so the modest indoor seating area was moderately frigid. Definitely recommended for the tasty sandwiches, but make sure you have a little extra time, and perhaps an extra sweater.
