We decided to stop by Ryan's Bagels for breakfast around 9 AM. When we walked in, it took a moment for the staff to acknowledge us, and the young blonde woman at the counter didn't seem particularly thrilled to be there. That definitely took away from the first impression, especially since we were the only customers in the shop at the time. On the plus side, the restaurant was clean and the food itself was actually really good. We ordered two sausage, egg, and cheese bagels, which were fresh, hot, and tasted great. We ordered a hot latte and it was good, and lastly we ordered a iced caramel macchiato, while a bit on the sweet side, was easy to tweak once I got home by adding a more coffee. I really don't like giving places lower reviews, but I always want to be honest. What really pulled the rating down for me was the customer service and the atmosphere; we felt more like a bother than a welcome guest. But if they can work on their service approach, it'd definitely be a spot worth returning to for the food alone. read more

I've been looking for a good bagel shop in Utah - I'VE FINALLY FOUND IT!!! You must try this place! Their sandwiches were phenomenal and their cream cheese - wow. I tried the veggie, herb, and chive. I thought veggie would be my favorite, but chive is the way to go! Pro-tip: get the chive cream cheese on your sandwich. My wife got the Veggie Sandwich on a croissant (and she added bacon) she gave it a 8/10. I got the Turkey Avocado. I added tomato and bacon. I would give it a 10/10!!! Went here in search of some decent bagels in Utah as an East Coaster. The owner is so friendly and talked to me about the east coast. The bagels are SO good and fresh. Lots of sandwich options to choose from and I've been here multiple times. I've tried some other bagel shops in slc but I live in the valley so this is the best there is around! There aren't many genuine bagel spots in Utah. As guy from the Northeast, this hits the spot. No fancy frills, but genuinely good bagels. Fresh and quality ingredients from the cream cheese, egg, bacon, sausage, and coffee. read more

Randomly ended up here as we tried to go to Rich's Bagels first but the place was absolutely packed and it look like it was going to take forever. So we headed over here and so glad we did, we ordered a number one which is a bacon egg and cheese Bagel sandwich on a jalapeño cheese bagel. Also ordered a tall latte for a very reasonable five dollar price point. The bagel was so delicious! We both really enjoyed the sandwich, it was cooked perfectly just the right portion size. We also enjoyed the vanilla latte they have a really nice coffee maker there and a barista dedicated to making customers coffee. That was a nice touch! Service was friendly and fast obviously this is a family run business and they like to keep their customers happy. Noticed a number of people that were regulars that came in and were acknowledged by the owners and staff. The ambience is a basic bagel place with maybe seven or eight four top tables for people to hang out and enjoy their treats. They also have a pretty good selection of smoothies that looked really good, I saw a woman walking out with four of them and they looked amazing, will have to try these next time we're around. A great bagel shop in the valley! Bagels were on the smaller side but they were so soft. I got the jalapeño cheddar and it was delicious. I did the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with added jalapeño cream cheese. It was very creamy with the cream cheese but not overpowering. Very impressed and will definitely be back. This place wasn't terrible, but it wasn't exactly a highlight either. The bagel sandwiches were decent, although the watery mustard and mayo made them pretty soggy, which was kind of a bummer. The real issue, though, was the service. The woman running the place seemed genuinely inconvenienced by the existence of customers. When we tried to order coffee (which is on the menu), we were told "no" -- no explanation at first, just...no. Eventually, she clarified (with a lovely side of attitude) that they only had iced coffee. Fine, we rolled with it. When I went to add sweetener, all the dispensers were empty. I politely asked if they had any, and she barked back, "There's sugar." I asked if there was any zero-calorie sweetener and was met with an eye-roll and a "no." A few minutes later, I watched her refill the Splenda containers without saying a word. So that was...a choice. Also hard to miss: how bossy and harsh she was to the poor employee working with her. You could see they were trying their best, but they seemed so tense and nervous, clearly afraid to upset her. It was uncomfortable to watch and honestly just added to the whole sour vibe. Look, everyone has bad days, and I get it -- but there's a basic level of respect that customers (and staff!) deserve. The energy here just made me want to finish my food and leave, not come back. Cheaply made and don't wash hands. As I was waiting for my breakfast sandwich to be made the owner walked in the back just getting to work. She put he purse and belongs down and walked straight over and starting making sandwiches from the tickets that were waiting. Didn't wash hands, didn't wear gloves, just straight to preparing food. Breakfast sandwich was also flavorless with cheapest ingredients possible. They prepare the food right in front of you so I watched the egg for my sandwich made by dousing a plastic Tupperware bowl of cooking spray, pouring liquid egg into plastic bowl and then putting it in the microwave. Gross soggy egg with some BPA baked in. Sausage patty was as cheap as it gets and the cheese bagel had zero flavor. Never again. read more

I ordered from this place several times through UberEats. I ordered one Sunday morning the New Yorker, which is lox on a bagel. Onions on the bagel were like charcoal. Carcinogenic. It tasted like charcoal. The "Belly Buster" was supposed to be loaded with meat. It had two thin slices, no bean sprouts. Both sandwiches were terrible. I reached out to the store to have them fix the problem and never received a reply. I would not recommend this place, and I was trying to support local businesses. Einstein's has never failed. This is my new favorite bagel place in Utah. They are such an unassuming little shop in Sandy but their bagels are a dream - super fluffy inside, not too chewy or dense like other bagel shops. Stopped here on our way out of town and I would say it's just okay. It's not the cleanest, I noticed they didn't wear gloves when they prepped my bagel and they used the same knife for everything. My boyfriend had one of their strawberry cream cheese croissant and said it good but tasted like something you'd get from the grocery store. I had a blueberry bagel with cream cheese and I thought it was decent. I tend to prefer a chewier bagel, this one was really soft and sweet, so still good but not my personal favorite. I also had an iced americano, which was just right and very strong! Found this place because the pictures looked good and that was not misleading. The food was fantastic, lots of options for breakfast/lunch sandwiches, bagels, coffee and smoothies with some pastry options as well. However, if I could make a suggestion, it would be that they write orders down. We had 2 different girls take our order and we had to repeat each order 3 times, initially. One order was then completely forgotten, the other was incorrect and the latte was forgotten. It was all righted, and they were busy. However, if they wrote it down and passed the order down the assembly line, this may not be a problem in the future. read more

It's just around the corner from me. I doubt I'll return. Not that they're was anything all that wrong, just that there was nothing that great. She was wildly unprofessional to customers saying "IT'S JUST ME WORKING-SO IT'S GOING TO BE AWHILE," whenever someone walked in.
