We visited on my hubby's birthday, and had really been looking forward to stopping in. We're big fans of Breaking Bud so we thought it would be nice to try their beers on tap. The space is very sterile- not a lot of personality. When we came in, the bartender was talking to two regulars. She continued to talk with them without acknowledging us so we left. read more

Yay!! They're finally open! My family came here 2 weeks after their grand opening and were very pleased. There is plenty of seating indoors and a good amount of patio seating as well. The entire place was very clean. They currently weren't serving food yet but plan to in the coming weeks. We didn't mind as we were there primarily for the beer AND at the time, they allowed outside food. At first I thought both screens displayed the same menu of beers and I was looking all over the place for the IPAs. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that one screen was ALL IPA's! They have quite a variety of different beers available. The staff was very friendly and kind. I look forward to coming back for their happy hour and their events (such as trivia night)! read more

Soft opening in Folsom, so excited for this location! Kitchen is not open yet. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and there were a lot of people also excited to try it out. There is plenty of seating and they have a nice outdoor patio area as well. Great location near a lot of other stores (Broadstone x E Bidwell), multiple large TVs mounted on the wall inside. We visited on June 24th in early evening. Really good beer menu although the beer is not as good as the past owner of Knee Deep....Jeremy Warren's Revision Brewing in Sparks... The food our friends ordered look good...Typical pub food.... The server behind the bar was a bit indifferent and not very friendly. He acted like we were bothering him with our questions about the different beers. Nothing is worse than a unfriendly bar server....We will stick to Moonraker in Cameron Park. read more

A friend and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and the place was modestly busy. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Sadly, no food was available as yet, but they allow you to bring outside food to enjoy. Interior is new, clean and simple in design. Outside seating is also available. The beer menu is huge and highlights the efforts by Knee Deep to create an offering that will appeal to just about every beer fan. This is a great place to explore beer, watch sports on the many big screens, and/or enjoy a conversation with friends. I think once they get the food/grill sorted out, it will be a home run. I have always enjoyed Knee Deep beers. I have been to their brewery in Auburn and I was glad to hear they opened a tap house in Folsom. I stopped by there for a break in between shopping and enjoyed a flight of beers, before buying some to take home. The staff were great and moved very fast, despite being busy. I understand that the Folsom location had only been open a week but the place was packed on a Saturday night for the last game of the World Series with tons of issues. First, they had 2 people working who seemed to be unsure of how to use the register and apparently the CO2 cannister needed to be changed and that caused havoc because it took forever for them to get it changed and get thr taps working. My husband was told to go sit and his beer would be brought out to him once they got the taps working. It took a long time and the first beer brought to him was wrong. Eventually another customer brought him his beer because the counter was so busy they couldnt bring it to him. The place inside is cute but the way the bar is set up is odd for how you have to order. There were several tvs, which was great, except they all had a different delay with the same game on. Terrible. I ordered a selstzer...it was awful. Probably the worst seltzer Ive ever had, I barely drank half of it. Our friends who waited in line for over 20 min finally joined us. My friend also had the seltzer and hated it. Needless to say we didn't have a second drink there and if we go back its going to be a long time. They seem to have a lot of kinks to work out. Can't imagine how its gonna be when they have a kitchen. read more

We waited a long time for this place to open. Sadly, we were disappointed. This may sound trivial, but it is so glaringly bright in there. It's not relaxing at all. My husband and son thought the same. We didn't stay long because the lighting began to annoy us. They have the brightest fluorescent downlighting right over the bar. We went and sat in the corner to avoid the lighting. It's very strange they just opened and didn't think to change this atrocious lighting. On a brighter note (ha, ha!) the woman behind the bar was very helpful and friendly. They seem to have a good selection of beer. Unless they change that lighting though, we won't be back. read more

They had a nice selection of beers (including some nice dark ones, which are often hard to find in this IPA Era) and the staff were all super nice. Their kitchen is not yet open, so we were allowed to bring our own food which, frankly, I enjoyed. read more

We have been long time Knee Deep customers at the Auburn location. Decided to visit the Folsom location. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Issue: 6 couples checked out with about 8 young kids under 6years old screaming, running, and fighting. Several adults brought this to the attention to parents-nothing. We left after one flight and decided to go to dinner and then return. The bartender at the restaurant said he was at KD 4 weeks ago with kids running g around and screaming...(wow) . We decided to head back after dinner for a flight in hopes the 6 neglect patents were gone. Nope! We saw kids running from one end of the plane to the other. We didn't return. Knee Deep, if you want long time customers returning, there needs to be children/parent guidelines. I'm not paying to visit a Chucky Cheese! read more

I've only been to this location twice and both times were completely amazing experiences. Haven't had any long lines. There's always people there family friendly they have a dartboard. They had a popcorn stand for the kids a nice place to just come and relax for a little bit. beers are at a good price and I found out they do military discount, which will keep me coming back. Great little taphouse, the imperial red was an amazing beer, great selection of west coast IPAs too, not too many hazys but I'm growing tired of the "haze craze" anyways.
