I love this place! We have been before softball at Lembi many times and I often go for the cider. There's indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. There's games offered and a little library of books to check out. The people working the bar are nice, friendly and helpful. There's a lot to absorb and look at when you are inside. Gluten free pizza crusts now available due to the on-site food truck set up that's the pizza place all the time now. I wrote a previous review re gluten free options and wanted to update that now they have the gf pizza crusts whenever they're serving food. Pic of menu options and then pic of their version of the "Margherita pizza". Feels a little pricey at $25 for the amount that you get, but of course there's an upcharge everywhere for the gf crusts. This is a short jaunt from the house- perfect for an impromptu evening beer and a walk with the doggie. Walking the boy AND a treat for me....yes!! There are many beers on tap to enjoy and they will give you a taste to try first. Service is good- a neighborhood bar crew that will help you decide on a beer or just raise their eyebrows at your choice. Either way is fine but I prefer the friendly lady. There is also a bar to sit at and a large room in back. We sat outside at first but then moved inside as there were no umbrellas for shade and a very noisy group with kids came outside. Heard about this place for ages and their Monday night trivia. Finally came by (on a Friday evening) and it was a decent spot. They had a pretty full patio. Good cider. They offer slushee seltzers but they were too sweet in my opinion. I'd be interested in coming back for a trivia night to see if it is a pepper location. read more

I returned to find this brewery had improved from my past visit. Outdoor seating is now defined and significantly improved. Service was friendly and helpful. Even the beer quality and selection seemed improved. Wow, it really seems they have made an effort to be better at everything they do and offer. Kudos to the ownership and the employees!! Visited Red Bus Brewing Company when my friend, Jeremy was performing live music. Red Bus is nice because they have an outdoor and indoor seating option. On this particular night I visited, they had a pizza food truck serving up some yummy pizza. Only downfall is that the cardboard it was served on was SUPER flimsy so my pizza fell as soon as I picked it up. They were super friendly and understood the issue because it happened to others that night so they made me a fresh pizza on the house! Other than that, Red Bus Brewing serves a variety of yummy beers. I loved their sour beer it was perfectly tart, I don't recall the name but it's the only one they have so you can't miss it. read more

Red Bus has got diverse brews on tap, strong wifi, is inclusive and dog-friendly! Came through while exploring this part of town after a long hike. The taptender was a kind woman who was so welcoming and lovely towards me and my dog. The sweet elderly man who I think is the owner was very personable and was helping local artists set up their paintings for sale in the back room. They have so many games for patrons, and loads of indoor seating options from high top single spots to larger tables and high tables. I asked if they had outdoor seating, but they didn't have it prepared. The taptender asked if I wanted to sit oustide, and she was so gracious offering to bring out the picnic tables. What great service! Great space for groups and solo drinkers. I love that you can also see part of the brewroom and all their barrels on your left side upon entering. I got a flight of their IPA's and asked for the taptender's top sellers--so I went with their 95630 pilsner. I really enjoyed the freshness of the pilsner and the IPAs were all beautifully hopped and well-rounded. I loved that I could just chill with my beers and people watch. I didn't get any food, but there didn't seem to be any during the afternoon. Highly recommend Red Bus Brewing after hiking near American River. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area! read more

Several visits this past six months. I don't tend to give high marks but this place is unique and clean with friendly service and a neighborhood vibe. The area has changed and this is definitely a new Folsom chill vibe with the tech/east bay out of the area crowd but still a chill place. Beer is on point and the variety and quality is above average. The partnering Kombi pizza is less than average and tbh a bit $$$. They are lucky to be attached to a bar. If you like a skimpy pizza which is sometimes burnt then this is your place. Overall the place is a "go to" for the beer and a feeling of the newer Folsom vibe. Went in to Red Bus Brewing Company (RBBC) to swap out my CO2 container for my next brew day at home. The nearby Home Brew store has closed and RBBC is picking up the slack with some home brew supplies. I guess they have some grains, yeast and other consumables. Call first as they didn't have a catalogue yet. Carl at the bar offered a taste of a few of their beers on tap. I hadn't been in before and ALL of them were nice. I ended up with a pint of 914 which I believe was an IPA. Apparently the owner has an early '70s Porsche 914 and it just follows that the beers are named accordingly. My suggestion is that the owner also include a 914-6, obviously a double IPA..LOL. Chill atmosphere, I loved it there and will be back just to drink and not necessary hurry out for a brew day. read more

The folks that run the place do a nice job off making you feel right at home. We love the way the place allows us to bring our Dogs in and welcomes them as just another patron. Stumbled across this spot by accident going thru Folsom. It was a sleepy Saturday afternoon in the place which as kind of nice. Lots of old VW and surf style nostalgia inside along with a play room. I appreciated that they serve flights which allowed my sample a variety of beers. Overall I had a good time and would return. Located in a more industrial setting of Folsom, Red Bus serves up cool brews in an unpretentious setting. Lots of outdoor seating and indoor seating has raised tables, a bar area and lower tables. As others have mentioned, it is canine friendly which is a bonus. You can get samplers - which I love. Nothing like getting a little taste of everything! I tried their hard seltzer, the Fizzy Bus which is described as a raspberry seltzer. You can get the optional popsicle - I would recommend this as I felt like it lacked some oomph. The favorite of mine was the Jetronic Haze IPA. (I am more a wine drinker than beer, but hey, I'm still an equal opportunity imbiber.) Refreshing, not too overly hoppy with a 6.1% alcohol content. Next up was the Belgian Triple - a bit sweeter tasting and that 12% alcohol content really packs a punch! When I was here there was live music and Cousins Maine Lobster Food truck serving up clam chowder and lobster rolls. Will be back to do another sampler. read more

We were seated in the back of the establishment, they have seating for bigger groups, I had a group of 7. They have "outdoor" seating, the tables are set in the brewery garage that have open doors for good ventilation. It's getting harder to eat outside with the cold but this place has..... heating lamps! I love heating lamps! Great perk. I was nice and toasty. Beer was good! I enjoyed the sour beer- Buscato! The have a pizza oven which makes great pizza crust. Takes a little while to get our pizzas, it seems to be a small oven. I got a pepperoni, I've had better, I think they can use better ingredients. Both were delicious, not too hoppy or over powering. They have a great selection to choose from and the setting is fun and relaxing. They have outdoor and indoor seating with an art gallery with lounge chairs and couches, a game area and seating in the warehouse. A bunch of friends and I were in the area and decided to stop by for a quick drink on a Saturday afternoon. They weren't busy at all, and we were able to get some drinks going right away. I ordered the Vanilla Night Sky ($7). This 16 oz drink was flavored with vanilla, cocoa nibs, and sea salt. This was a "heavier" drink than I usually would go for but it tasted pretty good and was super filling for a drink. They have a unique sit down area that looks like a children's play room with some foosball tables and regular tables on the side. It was a good try and this was a nice place to come with a large group because they're not so busy. My only complaint is that I wish they had a larger selection of drinks. read more

Loved the PR IPA. The coconut is off the hook. Haze is lighter but dang good. Good citrus tones. Tried type3 pale ale. 19z and great color and tones. We love they allow dogs. Been there a few times now, yesterday was a bit tough for them, I think they were possibly a bit understaffed, after a couple of tries with our pizzas ( 1st one undercooked and the second one overcooked) Our group was still having a great conversation so we made the best of it. The 5 stars are because of their great beers and because the owner realized that we didn't had the best experience with the food, (he also accidentally spilled some beer on me and another guest as he was serving us. ) So he was nice and sincerely apologetic, he also gave me a shirt even though I said it wasn't necessary ( my shirt was already sweaty from out bike around Natoma) and a little beer on it wasnt a big deal. Anyways, he turned it around and we left feeling great about the visit. We will be back as my friend that lives in Folsom is a regular there. read more
