I'm still thinking about this burger.... Dre's BBQ Backyard Burger 10/10!!! Damn, it was pretty fire. I got the bacon on the side for my doggie because I don't eat pork, but it comes with tomato, fried onion straws, lettuce, and pickle. You have the choice between fries, tater tots, onion rings or a salad. Not pictured- the amazing seared ahi tuna salad 10/10 ask for a side of extra dressing. The portion is huge and price is totally worth it as they give you a healthy portion of ahi tuna. I mean this place does not disappoint with the sides or carb options for you burgers. I overheard someone next to me say how amazing the onion rings are and how they often fill themselves up too much on them before their regular meal. I chose sweet potato fries because this is always a better choice. I appreciate the sea salt grinder at the table along with having ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce all tables and ready for me. I really think it's a little annoying when restaurants don't have condiments or salt & pepper shakers out at the table and you have to bother the waiter with yet another request. This burger was cheesy and had all the necessary toppings plus really bomb bbq sauce on it. I added a little sea salt to the sweet potato fries and they tasted perfect. They have new and rotating beers and ciders and so I tried the apricot which was really good- nice that they let you taste before ordering as well. Service was great, everyone was nice and friendly and smiled, and I love the boots, jeans, and western feel of the place. As a dog lover I'm obsessed with alll the doggy pictures there. Been away for a bit helping out where I was needed, so this one hit a little different... first time back just sitting down with my girls and actually slowing things down over a meal. That alone made this place a win for me. Riley's is upstairs on Sutter Street and has a really cool setup with nice views. One of those spots you walk into and just know you picked right. We started with the fried pickles and those were solid. I went with the steak bowl, my girls had burgers, and everything came out good. What stood out though--they brought my daughter's dog his own bowl. Thought that was pretty awesome and not something you see everywhere. Service was great the whole time, nothing complicated, everything just flowed. This was my first time coming since it changed from hacienda! Very cute spot and I feel like they changed the inside a bit too. It feels more restaurant like than bar. I sat at the bar and the bar tender seemed new as he was still learning what each table was numbered but he was extremely friendly and attentive. I got their BLAT which comes with a big piece of chicken on it! I thought it was good but the chicken was a bit dry. I upgraded to their sweet potato fries and those were delicious. They have a huge beer selection and I definitely want to come back once the weather is nicer to sit outside on their huge outdoor patio. Bbq backyard burger with potato salad was a 5/10. There was way too much bbq sauce and not enough flavor. Potato salad was bland. The salmon bowl was an 8/10. I just wish there were more vegetables. After landing in Sacramento, we were looking for a food joint. Tried a place in downtown Sacramento that didnt work out, so we came here instead on the way to Rescue. Its a really large place. They have a huge outside area as well,as a large indoor area. This place is evidently named after their first rescue Riley. Very beautiful dog. And a very good mission too rescuing more dogs. We ordered several things: 1. Cheeseburger slider- it was ok. 3 of them. It was ok. Nothing special. 2. Calamari- they were really well breaded. I love the crunchiness. It eas really good. 3. Boneless wings- good seasoning. It has a good amount of heat to it. Moist inside. A nice crunch on the outside. 4. Quesa birria taco- they were pretty good. Comes with chips and salsa. 5. Cajun jambalaya- it wasent that good. Flavors were muted. It needed more seafood in it. 6. Wintery cocktail- it was a marshmallow drink. It was really good. Refreshing and light. On the sweeter side. But it was really good. A cool concept restaurant. They can handle large groups. Dogs are welcomed here too. There was somewhat of a wait to order our food even though they werent busy at the time. I went in to a crowded restaurant with plenty of seats at the bar so I sat there. I was not greeted or given a menu for about 10 mins or so. I was about to leave when the bartender finally came over to hand me a menu. I then waited another 5-10 mins for my order to be taken. I had intended to eat there as well but with how long everything was taking, I just ordered a margarita. The bartender then disappeared for a several minutes and I ended up closing out at the hostess stand. To the bartender's credit, she was the only bartender and was slammed, so she was doing her best, but 30 mins from start to finish for one drink was just too long (4 stars for the Margarita and one star for the restaurant). I decided to take my lady on a date to Riley's on Sutter as we had heard good things about the restaurant. We ordered the Chicken BLAT and the Honey Salmon. The Chicken BLAT was just okay as neither the bacon or chicken were juicy. The bacon was not crispy at all and the chicken seasoning was rather bland. The fries were the star of the show along with the blue cheese dip as they were crispy on the outside on soft on the inside. Unfortunately, the Honey Salmon dish was even worse as the salmon was raw on the inside, lacked juiciness, and was not seasoned very well as they seemed to solely rely on honey for flavor. The dish was not very cohesive either as the zucchini, rice, and cabbage did not work well with the honey flavor of the salmon. The price was also tough to swallow with the Chicken BLAT being $19 and the Honey Salmon being $25. The portion sizes were okay, but didn't justify the prices, especially because the food was mediocre at best. Maybe this is just standard Sutter St. prices as Plank Kitchen is relatively similar, but you can go elsewhere in Folsom and get better food for better prices. On a positive note, the service was good. The waitress was nice and helpful and the food came out relatively quickly. The rooftop deck setting is kind of cool too. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality of food that got for the price that we paid and will likely not come here again. read more

First time visiting and it was a good experience. The food was solid bar/ grill fares- classic burgers, fries, chicken wings, and flatbreads. While it's not the most innovative menu, everything was delivered well. The location on Sutter Street is fantastic. They have an awesome covered outdoor patio heat lamps , large TVs, and the second floor location allows for some fun people watching . We came with a large party , and really appreciated the friendly, attentive service. Our waitress handled the busy party seamlessly and kept everything running smoothly. I live in LA and I visit my family twice a year. last Thanksgiving. My brother brought me to Riley's for lunch with the family and my nephew mentioned how Zia had won runner-up for her cocktail that year and I ordered it so I ordered "walk the lime". I absolutely fell in love with it so did my brother and after lunch we went and met with Zia and she was so happy to give me the list of ingredients and I tell you I went home and I practiced making that cocktail and now everybody loves it. I'm so grateful to her for her generosity. This past April, I came back up to Sacramento to visit the family and I told my brother I have to go back to have that cocktail , low and behold, I heard this time Zia won for best cocktail and so of course I had to have it. and it's called stay golden, I loved it of course Zia wasn't there, but one of her coworkers was and she was only too happy to make it and help me with the recipe of ingredients. So happy we stumbled upon this place on our family adventure day! My niece is named Riley so when we saw a restaurant with her name in it, we had to stop by! They offered both indoor and outdoor seating and were very accommodating for the two children we had with us. The kids loved all the pictures of the dogs hanging on the wall and the large booth provided a comfortable and spacious seating arrangement. We decided to order family style and share a few things. Went with a group of 5 on a Sunday night around 7pm. We were told it was a 20 minute wait so we added our names to the waitlist. After about 20 minutes, we got a text that our table was ready. For food, I ordered the General's Grande Burrito with fajitas, while my friends got a bison burger, turkey pesto burger, spicy black bean burger, and a half Caesar salad. Friend was not asked what was his preferred temperature for the bison patty. General's Grande Burrito (3/5): Portion size was generous and I liked the chips and salsa it came with. Salsa was spicy. However, the burrito itself lacked flavor and there could have been more seasoning like salt and pepper/spice. For what it is, $17 felt a little overpriced. The spicy bean burger was decent but nothing particularly unique. My friends really liked the drinks and the other meals and said they would give their dishes a 5/5. I made reservations online for dinner and we arrived a little early but were able to be seated right away on the outdoor patio balcony. It was a beautiful day and the patio was a great place to enjoy ourselves. Our server was on it and I couldn't make up my mind and asked for a recommendation and she said she loved the burgers. I order the Riley and my boyfriend ordered Dre's BBQ. Neither of us were disappointed. I have to say I was a little skeptical about coming here again. Before they closed to regroup this place was a joke. Bad service and completely disorganized. My friend and I decided to try the new version and it was outstanding to say the least! We sat at the bar for lunch. The burgers and fries were incredibly delicious! Had a great lunch at Riley's. My friend and I both got the wagyu burger and it was delicious. Hot, melted cheese, perfectly cooked burger on a fresh bun. Onion rings hot and crispy and not greasy. Fries were basic but good. Each got a well poured drink. Service was excellent. Never needed anything. Loved all the dog photos. Newer spot in downtown Folsom, Riley's on Sutter has a prime location and seems to be rather popular. We arrived around 4:30 and were seated right away, on a Saturday. As we were leaving, though, several parties were coming in, having made dinner reservations. Plan accordingly since it seemed to be filling up! It's upstairs location with town views and a large patio are a big draw. Service was prompt and friendly. We were seated outside, along the side and I was sort of worried we'd be forgotten but that wasn't at all the case. Menu is basic salads, burgers, and flatbread pizzas but with some interesting options like their tater tots and an elevated tuna melt with capers, which my partner got. I ordered the veggie pizza which had a bit of pesto added and lots of colorful tomatoes and peppers. Portions are huge and there were plenty one leftovers. Really cool spot. I've never before found a "must go again" spot in Folsom, but have now! Definitely would eat at Riley's next time I'm in town. read more

We stoped in for a quick bite and had a great experience. Violet was our waitress and she was very sweet and provided excellent service. I ordered these ahi Asian salad and it was loaded with perfectly seasoned, grilled ahi, the little mandarins added just the right amount of sweetness. An excellent and hardy salad. My husband has the grilled chicken sandwich which had bacon that was thick and added great flavor to the chicken sandwich. It came with fries or you could upgrade to taste tots or a salad. This place had a little bit of everything--and everything was good! I ordered the Wagyu Burger and my dad got the Bison Burger, and we each swapped halves so we could try both. The Bison Burger was amazing--juicy, flavorful, and not gamey at all (which I was a little worried about since I'm sensitive to that). The buns were soft and fresh, which made the whole thing even better. The Wagyu Burger had blue cheese, which I didn't realize when I ordered it--that one's on me. I'm not a huge fan of blue cheese, but it had an interesting touch of honey that made it stand out. My dad, on the other hand, loved it, so it still ended up being a win. My mom had the steak taco salad, and it was excellent. The steak pieces were huge and tender, and the taco shell was crispy and flavorful. My sister's boyfriend ordered the birria tacos, and they looked great--he seemed really happy with them. My sister originally ordered the spicy chicken waffle sliders, but ended up sending them back because they weren't quite what she expected. She switched to the Riley Street Burger instead, and said it was good. She's a little harder to please, but even she was satisfied in the end. The tater tots were a bit overdone, and the waffles on the sliders looked darker than other yelp pictures hence why she sent them back--maybe the fryer oil needed to be changed--but the flavors were still there. The service was excellent! Our waitress was super nice and attentive, and the staff in general was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was clean, had a nice atmosphere, and we were seated right away after making a reservation online. All in all, it was a great experience.
