Awful shop. NYPD told me they would call this company to tow me off the LIE. Waited 2.5 hours. On the first call to this shop, I was told 30-40 minutes for the tow truck to get to my location. This is the worst customer service I have ever had. I would like to start with the tow truck driver who ruined my bumper and did nothing to help. I then went to the shop which didn't open till Monday I went explain led how the driver had ripped my bumper off. The lady in the office had the nastiest attitude and didn't know nothing told me she don't know when nobody works and it takes 10 to 15 business days to get a response. I then waited and called back because she was so nasty in person I could not even stand the site of her. She then told me again nobody comes in on Monday and she don't know when anybody will be there I guess she is the boss there. I would never recommend this place to anybody from the tow to the person this was the worst experience I have ever had with dealing with people in general. read more

SCAMMERS. They have exclusive coverage of parts of the LIE so AAA was unable to assist me. AAA asked them to come tow me off the highway. They said they couldn't find me and kept giving me the run around when I asked for updates. I was on the side of the highway in 16 degree weather at risk of being hit by the others cars speeding by for an hour and 45 minutes. They refused to put my spare tire on and would only take me to another shop to get a new tire. They said if I wanted my spare put on they would have to tow me outside of their restricted access zone and I would have to call AAA again to come service me. When I was in the car with the driver, the person collecting my payment info from him over the phone was laughing about how "pissed off" he got me. These people are UTTER TRASH. read more

One of the worst service experiences I've ever had. The tow truck arrived ridiculously late, the driver was openly hostile, and they handled my vehicle with zero care. They damaged the vehicle and refused to take accountability. Communication was nonexistent and the entire operation felt incompetent and shady. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ALL TIme, Borderline criminal- Mean unhelpful and downright nasty. They denied me access to retrieve medical supplies as I am diabetic and disabled. The office woman who answers the phone is rude beyond belief. She actually denied I ever called. Fortunately, I have the phone records on my end. She requires a course in humanity. Because of her refusal to allow me access to my meds during holidays, I called and spoke to my attorney and local police.... and magically gained access to find the meds were stolen. Now I have to file a police report. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE. I'm considering a disability discrimination law suit. read more

Worst experience; They're all rude and will rob you blind the minute you allow them to tow ur vehicle. I was given a receipt during after my vehicle was towed-- However, the receipt was discarded when I went to get my vehicle at the office/lot. I was told the receipt was thrown in the garbage only minutes after handing it in. I was given a new receipt with over $200 added in fees. One of which matches the original fees from the first receipt. It seems like they have a system in place to rob people that they tow. They use police radios to get info on reported accidents-- They pop, up offer to tow you give a receipt with a specific price index. But when you arrive to make the payment they discard the receipt and create a new one where more payments are added and the fees from the previous receipt are increased. It's 100% a scam. The office is covered in what looks like thick plexiglass. They're literally locked in an office space with plexiglass separating them from the clients/customers. DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT use this service even if it's your last option. My first call was made at 4:45pm, i was told "about 25 mins". Ok no problem. Gave them a call almost an hour later. "Oh he got caught up with a priority job but give him another 20 mins". Ok no problem. This went on until 9pm!!!! At 9pm now a male answered and said the female that was working before him was inexperienced and that he apologizes. I was then told he would give me a call back with an exact eta. 20 minutes go by and I give them another call and get told he's on 114 Street on the grand central and it should really only be another 25 mins. Over half an hour passed and I gave up and ended up calling the police for assistance with my disabled vehicle. Guess who picked up my vehicle at 11:30pm!! This scum of a company, that is the only available tow to take a vehicle off of a highway. I have never experienced such an unprofessional business in my life. Saying 20 minutes or 25 minutes repeatedly until it became 5 hours is not unbelievable it is unheard of. To make matters even worse I gave them a call back after 9pm and they didn't even bother on answering my call. Whooooo runnnns this a fucking clown? this company is a scam. I was stuck on the highway because of a flat tire. AAA couldn't come because I was on the highway therefore they called Knight's towing because apparently they are the only tow comp in the area that could tow a vehicle off of the highway. the person (girl) that I spoke with at Knights towing refused to give me a quote for the tow. She said she couldn't state the price because they don't know what the vehicles issue is. The strange thing is that I told them that I had a flat tire from the start of the call and reminded them during the call. She still wouldn't give me a price. after googling them I realize why. It's because they are dishonest and were trying to overcharge me. took these people over 2 hrs to get where i was and i only used them because triple a and good sam both couldn't dispatch to 278 by the goethals bridge. these people were dispatched to me by the port authority and wanted $130 just to tow it off the highway. in a pinch it's whatever and i don't mind paying but the driver was one of the most incompetent i've ever met. this is the first and only time i've ever seen someone drop the car they're towing on the middle of the highway going faster than 50 mph. i've contacted several times and been given the run around time and time again to where im not going to waste my time. these people are slimy and I'll see them in court for the damages to my 2005 corolla. the car was in great working condition before their negligence took away my form of transportation to and from work. read more

The female dispatcher is very rude, mean, and self-righteous. She yelled at me for a near half hour the first time I spoke to her because of miscommunications that she apparently had with my insurance company. Which were not relayed to me so I'm not sure why she was screaming at me personally. (I TOLD YOU XYZ. I SAID ABC). Girl, I wasn't there. All I know is what my roadside assistance told me to do. Why are you screaming at your customers who are probably confused and disoriented by the fact that their car just broke down in the freeway?? In any case, this was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had the tragedy to be a part of. And I'm a lawyer. The towtruck driver in comparison was an angel. He gave me advice on where to tow my vehicle and how I should handle the next steps and overall was very pleasant to work with. Just a shame the dispatcher is such a horrible person! We had an unexpected breakdown on the LIE with a recent model high end vehicle. Could not have been happier with the service provided by Eddie who responded to the call, carefully loaded our vehicle onto the flat bed, moved it to a location where it could further be towed to another state. Eddie was very experienced, provided us with details about his activities in regard to our situation and was helpful to the next tow truck who would take our car to the final destination. If you are ever unfortunate enough to have the experience of breaking down on the LIE, it is our hope that you have someone as experienced, knowledgeable and downright considerate of the situation as we had with Eddie!!!!! How could such obnoxious individuals stay in business. My insurance company called these folks. The two truck shows up an hour & half later. I'm told that I'm going to tow you off the highway to the nearest exit then you have to pay me and call your insurance company and they will send you another tow truck. I pleaded & asked to please take me to the nearest shop which was less then 5 miles, so I can fix my tire and ill pay you. He said no, "I'm not taking you to a shop, I'm just getting you off the highway." I said this makes no sense. He got in his truck and left. read more

Nearly a month after my accident & my car is in the shop still. My car was in perfect condition before my rear end collision. Knights Collision towed my car to their shop & then caused problems when I told them I didn't want them to fix it. After 2 days they finally released my.. AFTER they caused thousands more in damage. According to where my car is now.. their only explanation is that Knights dragged my car around their lot on both the front & back ends. I had my car towed and the original price was $185. I was then charged $285 and an extra $70 for mileage. An extra $35 for T-yard then another $35 each day for storage. They would not let me see my car or nothing. Very unprofessional and I would recommend not to use their service. read more
