Delicious and refreshing! My first time there was about 1.5 years ago and I tried the halo halo. There was so much going on in that cup, but it was great. I've been back many times since and loved everything I've had. The açaí bowls are delicious!! Some of my fave drinks are the Ko Kane and Ko Green. I got their açai bowl it has a really thick base mixed with blueberry, strawberry, sugarcane, and banana, and of course the açaí. It's topped with either almond butter, Nutella or peanut butter of your choosing. It's comes with strawberry, bananas and blueberries, as well topped with coconut flakes, Chia seeds and honey. Its hard to find good halo halo served in la places. The one here is not a cake or ice cream or pastry themed on halo halo. Its actually the original dessert lol. So i liked that. This has been my family's steady favorite the last few months. They use real sugar cane. We get halo-halo, sugar cane juice and a variety of the Filipino desserts that they sell. Their halo-halo is quite good and I'm quite picky when it comes to endorsing a place's version of the classic Filipino sweet treat. Their version is described as having fresh pressed sugar cane, nata de coco, palm fruit, jackfruit, red beans, coconut meat, rainbow jello, ube jam, crisped rice, milk, leche flan, ube ice cream and cheese ice cream. Mix it all up and enjoy. Halo-halo is $6.95 for the large. My mother loves the original which is purely fresh pressed cane juice. $6.20 for the large and we reuse the nice plastic cup with a lid that it comes in. Nice and refreshing. Staff is always friendly and we look forward to these desserts on the weekends. Its located by The Americana right where the pedestrian crosswalk is between Broadway and Harvard.
