Kung Fu Tea is my favorite but ever since they closed their only store in Los Angeles, it's been hard to find a place that's just as good. The Boba Street is the place. I'm so glad I found it. My daughter loves their mango slush with lychee. The boba is pretty fresh. To be honest, not as fresh as twinkle tea but it's pretty darn good. Nice and chewy. They offer a lot of food options. They have a breadth of boba drinks, açaí bowl, milk tea, milk shakes, frappes and smoothies. As well as some desserts such as Taiyaki and waffles. I ordered a Hibiscus Butterly Boba Tea (L) with regular ice and 75% sweetness. It was refreshing but a bit watered down. I think it's a modest tea drink. This boba tea shop seems popular among local residents since I saw a handful of customers while I was visiting. To bluntly put it, I had better boba drink in SGV (hub of boba teas) but this one is slightly acceptable in taste. I will need to try other drinks if ever I'm in the area. Atmosphere was relaxing and the indoor seats were very spacious. Design layout was very adorable. Perfect for drink photo selfies. Staff were cordial and competent. Prices were very competitive. There are going to be a lot of over the top creations, however if adjustments to sweetness is your thing like it is ours. This isn't the place for you to try. It's cheap but again our drinks were not that great since we requested less sweet 25% which tasted really sweet. My dad lychee green tea was watery and my son's peach oolong tea was definitely over brewed. My drink was really sweet. Glad I got a regular. I love this place! I just found it recently with my buddy. We were excited to try their boba, the poke and their fresh sushi rolls. We got a taro milk tea, a mango/coconut milk tea with boba and they were both perfect. Great flavor in the drinks and great texture with the boba. The poke bowl was delicious and the sushi roll I got was too. I got the rainbow roll and the tuna and salmon were buttery smooth. The service has been fantastic on every visit. The staff is friendly and patient, which always makes a big difference when you are visiting a new spot. Just let them know it's your first time, and they will give you all the time you need. The store is clean and spacious with plenty of places to sit. A great spot to hang with a buddy to catch up. I always love finding shops that care about their customers. This place is a sweet local boba spot where Glassell Park meets Atwater Village with a variety of milk teas, shakes, smoothies, and slushies made-to order at expected prices (most bevs are $5/6). Our family personally really likes the thai tea, oreo shakes, and slushies! The boba consistently has tasted fresh, not too firm, every time I've tried it. There's ample free parking in the parking lot and also free parking on the side streets if the lot is full. I only wish they were open later than 8pm for nighttime boba runs (their closest competitor is open til 10pm). Maybe they will choose to stay open later if/when they get more customers/demand. They also have an all-gender restroom. Boba St has become my new favorite boba spot! read more
