Fortunately, our truck was repaired (replace starter) later that evening but it was a blessing to stay in our trailer after a long day. Have the ability to tube and have the little ones play. Children can play, and there is also a kid pool (a definite bonus). I was afraid that it would get packed and we end up not being able to stay. So I was left behind, and my husband went back to get the rest of the family. Since it is Monday, I figure it is not going to get too busy. But, I am not going to take a chance. This spot should be on the list of visiting places. Especially right now that Boulder creek is closed and many other outdoor activities.

We stayed one night there and then called Eagle Soaring to see if we could get in early. She gave us her LAST spot. The one she saves for "just in case". So we were appreciative and happy to get it. We could boondock but its just not our style. John checked us in and he could not have been nicer. I don't think, in all our travels I've ever had a camp host interduce him/her self. So just that was nice. Then you get to pick your own site. All the same so no problem there. Nice big sites, trees in-between most from what I saw. Spaces a little close together but stagger parked so your not looking directly into your neighbors windows. He told me, go ahead and settle in and then bring the paperwork down. Again, never in all our travels, 100s of parks, has anyone allowed that. It is a bit far from town so that can be a pro or a con depending on your outlook. It was near the highway, but honestly we were never bothered by any noise. We have an older coach, maybe they were insulated better a few years ago? Didn't use the restrooms/showers so I cant comment on that. But we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Between site 8 and 9 has best views of the mountains. Go somewhere else if you don't give a crap about burning down the forest and don't want to stick to rules set respect other campers.

When we checked in, they modified our site to a better site that would give us some distance from other campers. It's nice to be able to spread out a little bit as it's not full season here yet. Site was very level, new picnic table and grassy area. The clubhouse is AMAZING- it's the best clubhouse we've ever seen in any campground. Just wow. Tons of comfy seating, indoor and outdoor seating; firepit, hanging chairs etc. there is a little kids playroom, a table gaming machine and a nice tv/couch area. If you were traveling as a group- this would be a super nice setup for gatherings. There is also a small outdoor playground and of course; a big wooden gopher. They have laundry facilities (we were on east side) and there were two big washers and dryers ($2 load / quarters). There is also very nice shower facilities in this clubhouse. There is a little library, a 'dog stick library lol- they even have a small basketball goal setup for the kids. You're about 30 minutes straight north of Denver on 25- make sure to take the time to go into the historic District of Longmont, what a great little area with tons of restaurants, bars, and shopping. We saw a notice on the clubhouse that sometimes they have food trucks come in too We paid about $75/night that included taxes.

**1 Star -- Site #98 is NOT Safe for Large RVs**…read more We stayed at Jellystone Park Estes Park for three nights in site #98 with our 36-foot fifth wheel. We paid $325.50 for our stay and left with expensive damage to our truck because, in my opinion, this site should never be assigned to an RV of this size. Site #98 is located on a hill and requires a very tight left turn from a one-way road, with a drop-off on one side and a large boulder retaining wall on the other. When an employee escorted us to the site, he immediately told us it was a difficult site for big fifth wheels and even said another camper had ripped off his fender trying to back into it. My husband is very experienced backing our fifth wheel, and after several attempts with direction from the campground employee, he was able to get us into the site. Unfortunately, getting OUT was even worse. When we left, my husband had to swing the truck as far to the right as possible to keep the fifth wheel tires from going off the drop-off on the left. At one point, half of our left-side tires were hanging off the edge. While I was outside watching the tires and trying to help navigate this extremely precarious situation, the truck caught one of the boulders from the retaining wall on the right, which became wedged underneath our running board. We then had to JACK UP OUR TRUCK--with our 36-foot fifth wheel still attached and sitting dangerously close to the edge of a hill--just to get the truck off the boulder. What makes this situation especially frustrating is what happened afterward. A very kind campground employee who came to help us expressed his own frustration that they continue putting large RVs in this site. He explained that after the cabins across the road were installed, along with the retaining wall, there was no longer enough room for big RVs to safely pull out of site #98. While I waited to speak with the manager, a THIRD employee also acknowledged to me that they have had issues with this site. Yet when the manager finally came to speak with us, she claimed she had NO knowledge of site #98 being a problem and told us they allow RVs up to 38 feet in it. When I told her they should not be putting RVs that large in this site, her response was, **"It's 2026 and they can't tell people what they can put in a site."** That response was unbelievable to me. A campground absolutely can--and should--determine what size RV can safely fit into and maneuver through a particular site. Three separate employees either warned us about this site or acknowledged problems with it, including one who specifically said there is no longer enough room for large RVs to pull out after the cabins and retaining wall were added. Yet management continues allowing RVs up to 38 feet in the site. We were offered no solution for the damage to our truck, and management took no accountability for continuing to place large RVs in a site their own employees acknowledge has had problems. We paid $325.50 for three nights and walked away with a damaged truck and an incredibly stressful--and potentially dangerous--experience. We will NEVER stay at this campground again. If you have a fifth wheel or RV over 30 feet, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere and specifically avoiding **site #98**. Campgrounds have a responsibility to assign rigs to sites they can safely enter AND exit. Based on our experience, Jellystone Estes Park failed to do that.

Hey, we know there are limited such availabilities in parks like this, but if you can't book us FOR SURE, just tell us. We'll go somewhere else. Instead, my wife struggled up our cabin stairs for five days. The camp staff was polite and friendly but this was a really difficult situation.

When there was a no show, they came to us and asked if we would want to move to a better spot. This place is hardly a dump like the one review states. This is a new place and still shaping up the place to make it an awesome place. The rv sites are super nice and level. There is no shade trees in the rv area. There is an access road by the facility but not too busy. They are right across the street from a river rafting company and a zip line spot and a running river. It is not a dangerous campground like the negative reviewer states. Showers are clean and really nice. Clean restrooms and the store area is shaping up nicely. This place will be so cool once done. You do get interstate noise but nothing terrible, but expected as you are close to the interstate. The photo is of our tent spot #6. We will be back.
