The food is delicious and flavorful with unique combinations of ingredients. Visitors order at the counter for dine in or takeout although also pick-up is also an option This is my 2nd visit and is consistent with m first. Excellent food and food quality, clean, and very pleasant and efficient staff. There's outside seating as well as eight indoor seating clusters. First off wow!! The food is incredible! My first time patronizing this establishment and I now know why it was busy and bustling at 9 am on a Saturday morning. For food I ordered the Koco's Biswich and chose turkey bacon as my protein of choice and it didn't disappoint. The homemade biscuit and the pepper jam really set this sandwich off! I am still thinking about it. My friend had the Caribbean Breakfast Scramble and enjoyed it. For my drink, I tried the Strawberry Matcha and let me just say - in love!! It was my first matcha drink & I'm so glad I chose Koco's to try it. The service was phenomenal even for a busy morning. I met a friend for breakfast and even tho there was a line when we got inside, it moved quickly. The establishment is not large, however there's sufficient seating inside and a few table chairs outside. We sat inside and noticed how clean it was kept. Tables and areas were cleaned quickly allowing for diners to opt to sit and enjoy their delicious food and drinks. I would 10/10 recommend! I really wanted to love Koco Cake & Bakery because there are so many things they do well. The décor is beautiful, cozy, and welcoming, and every time I've been there it's been busy, which speaks to how popular they are. The owner has also always been lovely and friendly. That said, the ordering process could really use some work. The menu is fairly limited, and unfortunately the staff seems to make simple requests much more complicated than they need to be. On my most recent visit, I asked for a grilled cheese with bacon. I understand it's not on the menu, but what should have been a simple request turned into a five-minute conversation. First, I was told they couldn't make it because it was after 11:30. That was confusing since I've ordered breakfast items there after 1:00 p.m. on previous visits. Then I was told to pick a sandwich from the menu and they would customize it into what I wanted--but I would still be charged around $14. When I asked what types of bread they had so I could decide, no one could give me an answer. I finally said they could choose the bread, but I was met with a puzzled look. At one point, the owner called out, "A grilled cheese?" the employee replied yes, and then... nothing. I eventually gave up and ordered a chicken patty instead. The employee asked if I wanted it warmed up, I said yes, then she took my order outside before bringing it back inside. The whole interaction just felt awkward and unnecessarily confusing. Unfortunately, the patty ended up being a waste. I didn't care for it at all, and the color of the chicken inside wasn't very appetizing, which made me uncomfortable eating it. I genuinely like Koco's atmosphere and think the owner has created a great space. My hope is that the staff receives a little more training on handling simple customer requests and improving consistency. With smoother service, a slightly broader menu, and better execution, this place could easily be one of my favorites. read more

OMG! I was so looking forward to going to this place. This is such a great addition to this plaza exactly what it was missing. Service: The young lady upfront who took our order was really nice very friendly overall all great customer service Food 10/10: My friend and I went there for breakfast along with my nephew. We took a look at the pastry window and decided to grab a menu and sat on the table to decide what would be our food choices. I decided to go with the Dominican breakfast which included sweet mangu fried cheese, egg, and salami. It was delicious. Everything was nice and hot. They also included some pickled onions, which was such a great addition. The flavor was amazing. My friend went for a breakfast Yum Yum bowl and she included eggs in it. It also had potatoes and she throws her protein, a turkey sausage, which was amazing full of flavor. Flavor of both of our food was 10 out of 10. Drinks: I decided to go with the famous strawberry Matcha with almond milk and an extra pump of vanilla syrup for some sweet, and it was really good. I had some issue with the whisking part of like mixing things together the straw was a bit too tight for the top of the cup but overall the taste of my Matcha was amazing. I should've added some foam, but that's my fault not theirs. My friend had a passionfruit juice and that was really good. Ambiance; When we got there, it was very empty and it quickly got very busy and I'd love to see it that was music playing in the background Haitian music definitely a diversity of songs. Firstly, the food was excellent here. Our dishes were maybe a tad on the salty side, but tasty, made fresh, and unique. We had a Toñito sandwich and a KC Breakfast Burrito along with two KoCo Americanos. Both sandwiches were very large and we ended up only eating half there. We didn't end up buying desserts/pastries, but they looked amazing and I definitely plan to go back and try some. The only reason for four stars, rather than five, it's that the place was extremely packed and the seating felt tight. Additionally, it too a long time to get our orders and they didn't come out together - it was maybe 10 minutes between my wife's burrito arriving to the table and my sandwich which is always awkward and disappointing. read more

The food is good but they are so unorganized. I ordered my food and after paying i decided to get a soup. I got my soup maybe 15 minutes later after ordering, however my first order never came. When I went to the front they completely forgot my order. I had to wait another 20 to 30 minutes. I was annoyed but it was a very busy Sunday so I could understand. Ambiance is great, love the vibes in there very light and airy with fun decor. Food was pretty good, could use more sauce on the burrito but all in all we were very happy with it. We love flavor and this had lots of it. Service was great, staff friendly. I wish things were monitored more like the water station had no water, and the bathroom toilet paper needed changing/toilet cleaning needed. Came all the way from Port St. Lucie to try this hidden gem. Super busy which is awesome. I ordered the biscuit sandwich with breakfast sausage and the pistachio croissant bread. The biscuit sandwich was beyond incredible!!! Will get again and again!! The pastry was lackluster. For the price I paid and size of the item and the lack of flavor and appeal it had I will not be getting another pastry again. I could have gotten much more for almost $7 than that one blah pastry. I've heard so many great reviews on this spot so had to give them a try on my birthday. They do take out and dine in. The lunch/dinner menu isn't available until 11 am so I definitely have to go back try that menu. However, I ordered breakfast and it was served to me at the table. The plantains were so sweet and yummy with a slight crisp to them and the eggs were seasoned beautifully! My matcha was made to perfection and not overly sweet just how I like it. You can tell they put their heart and soul into their menu items. There were so many delicious looking pastries available for purchase as well, I can't wait to go back to try a few. I love the Haitian and Dominican fusion to the menu items. I'm Haitian myself and this brought joy to heart and hearing kompa music that I'm familiar with play on the speakers was the perfect touch! KoKo Café This cute little coffee and dining spot has the right amount of bougie feel from a very nice staff and variety of menu items. To start, they have a delicious variety of fresh baked treats both savory and very sweet. The showcase display looks beautiful and so fresh in all of their baked creations. When were arrived on a Sunday at noon, it was pretty crowded and it seemed like once we ordered at the counter, it took a long while for our food to be served. I ordered a Jerk Chicken sandwich which was very good but not what I expected. The chicken was marinated in jerk seasoning that was not too spicy and then chopped and cooked with sautéed onions and melted cheese on the freshest toasted roll. I loved the taste and portion size but for $14 for a chicken sandwich, I thought is should have come with some chips or a little arugula salad as a garnish. My husband got a fresh brewed fruit tea and the KC Burrito. It too had no side so the burrito sat lonely on his plate too. Food presentation was lacking but it made up in flavors. This is a fast casual restaurant that does a big breakfast and lunch business. I believe they serve dinner but not full entrées. There was a little seating outside and a dozen tables inside. They also add a credit card fee to your order. Parking is ample and they have their signage above the front doors. read more

Cute place. Ran in after having lunch at our favorite Thai restaurant next door. We walked in and weren't greeted, we looked at the baked goods and then the staff came over and spoke to us about the menu. She was so dry as if not wanting to help us. It was very much a turn off. We almost walked out, but had to give it a shot so we got a chocolate chip cookie. It was good, nothing special, Nice and buttery. I would go back and maybe get a coffee and bakery item. Koco Cafe is one of those places where the menu alone will have you coming back--literally, I went two days in a row. The menu is massive with an impressive mix of breakfast and lunch options, so there's always something new to try. I had Koco's Biswich and also tried the vegan breakfast sandwich, and both were excellent--fresh, flavorful, and very filling. I also tried a variety of pastries including the strawberry cheese danish, fudge brownie, ube rice krispy, Oreo cookie, and chocolate chip cookie, and every single one was delicious. For drinks, I had the Amor de Koco and the maple matcha, which were perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, which is a huge bonus. Everything I've had so far has been consistently good, which really says a lot considering how large the menu is. The space itself is great too--plenty of parking in the shopping center it is located in, indoor and outdoor seating, and the cafe was very clean, with cute/cozy decor. Prices are also very reasonable for how fresh everything is and for the generous portions. To top it all off, the ladies working the front were absolutely the sweetest--super friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even better. Great food, tons of options, good vibes, and excellent service. If you're in Boynton Beach, Koco Cafe is a must-try. I'll definitely be back (again). read more

I came here this morning for a quick little breakfast and we were kindly greeted upon walking in and parking was fairly easy! There was lots of indoor options and we chose to get the croissant breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito and both came out excellent! I enjoyed the sauce that came with the sandwich and the chipotle sauce with the burrito was the perfect touch. Workers and service was great and we felt treated nicely by everyone. Next time we will definitely try a coffee and a pastry since all of them looked super delicious and they are made fresh everyday. What a delightful, gem of a spot! I'm so glad to have heard of this brand new cafe filled with Dominican style dishes. To start, I had the "Chimi Sandwich" which is their take on a smash burger with sautéed cabbage, tomato, pickled red onion and pink sauce. The combination was extremely flavorful! We also had their French toast breakfast bowl that came with bacon and scrambled eggs. Another flavor explosion that beyond satisfying. Highly recommend the Dulce De Leche Frappuccino and the maple salted latte. For dessert we had the biscoff blondie and the guava/cheese croissant. The perfect sweet treats to top off our dining experience. The staff are also very friendly and efficient. Our meals were freshly made and took less than ten minutes. The portion to price ratio is on point as well with each entree costing $14, and the pastries $5.50 each. Tried this spot on Sunday with some friends and everything was wonderful! The food was delicious, coffee was so good I ordered another to go, and the service was just wonderful. The vibe and atmosphere of the whole place was just warm and welcoming. For reference I ordered an Iced Le Corey latte and the breakfast burrito with chipotle ranch while my friend order an Iced Le Dulce latte and the Biswich. We also ordered the yum yum tots to share which were amazinggggggg. The women in front were absolutely sweethearts and even learned our names after a few conversations. My daughter heard about this little cafe opening up and suggested we try it. Our first visit it was very busy but we got great service and recommendations from the young lady behind the counter. Everything was delicious. This quickly became our stop nearly every day during my NJ granddaughters visit. The cinnamon bun was her favorite and now I order it just to send her pictures to tease her. No actually I order it because it is one of the best most delicate tasting cinnamon bun ever made. I am normally a regular cup of coffee drinker but their teas and lemonade are enticing and so well made. We have returned for breakfast, always an order of Yum-Yum Tots, lunch with many favorites but topping the list is The Willy and dinner, the platters are plentiful but be careful is you aren't a fan of spicy food. We love it so the pernil has a kick that we go enjoy. Mofunguitos are a must try IMO. The Caribbean Oxtail soup is so flavorful but only offered on Saturday and Sunday. All I can say is this is one of a kind special cooking and baking and I am shocked it is in Boynton Beach but so grateful to have a culinary delight in my neighborhood. I ordered their iced maple matcha and thought it was SO tasty! I like my matcha pretty green and on the sweeter side, and this was exactly what I like. I even went back a second time and ordered it with an extra scoop of matcha (+$4 though which would keep me from ordering it like that again), but it gave it a really nice, stronger flavor. As someone who usually treks out pretty far (~30+ minutes) for a good matcha, it's nice being able to get a good matcha within 15 minutes of my home! read more

We also had the croissant breakfast sandwich which was also solid, the croissant was the main character of it because it was so large. It almost took away from the other ingredients. I had a cortadito with coconut milk and my son had a chocolate milk. Our total for the 2 beverages, 2 breakfast sandwiches, and two drinks was $43 after tax and tip. The hostess takes the person's order, tells me to hold for a second, then proceeds to make about 7 drink orders before taking my order and has the crappest attitude. I'll pass next time!!! read more

Pretty solid. I have been there a few times. And it's always fairly consistent. Nothing that will blow your doors off, but you also won't be disappointed. We stopped in for lunch and ordered the Loc de KoCo burger and the Tonito sandwich. Bother were incredible! Fresh ingredients, perfectly made buns, flavorful toppings. I appreciate that a lot of thought went into creating this menu. The staff was friendly and attentive. The dining area was clean and tables were cleared and cleaned as customers finished their food.
