We contacted Bob to implement some changes in our patio without a total tear-up and replacement. Bob listened to our concerns, worked with our budget, and his ideas and attention to detail resulted in a much- improved back yard space. Bob's team worked hard, were respectful and courteous; and they paid attention to the little things - like making sure our patio screen door was closed when they were creating dust from cutting pavers. His team was prompt and cleaned up at the end of the day. They didn't leave until the job was done to their satisfaction. Landscaping & design HERO! My husband and I did our homework and got several opinions from neighbors and friends and many suggested Kodiak Landscaping. We also got some estimates from other companies. The office staff I was in contact with from start to finish were absolutely delightful and very professional. They kept us updated during the entire process via phone calls and emails. Quickly set up estimate and design consultation from our initial call until completion. The price was the best around and we were very happy with the advice and design consultation. The crew was respectful, polite, quiet and performed as true professionals. They even removed my American Flag not to damage or dirty it. I watched the man from my Ring camera carefully lower it and take it down with respect and care which I thought was sweet. VERY GOOD WORKERS! The crew started yesterday am and today I came home to a beautiful 15 x 20 paver patio area. It looks fantastic they were very efficient and hard working. The process was so quick and easy. They obviously took time to plan accordingly and take great pride in their work. Not even a sign of them after...they even reseeded the lawn and saved & relocated some shrubs for me that they removed from the patio area. I didn't expect that at all and it made my day! The owner met with us to announce completion and to make sure we were happy with it and to educate us on the care and maintenance we should follow. Called someone almost two weeks ago about repairing light fixtures and possibly adding a new set for my yard and was told they would come out the day after Memorial Day. I waited two weeks and not only did they not come they never called to reschedule or anything. I was referred to this business and said as a new local home buyer let me give these guys a chance as they don't have too many reviews. Looks like I'll give my business to someone else. read more

This review isn't based on the quality of yard service but customer service. In this case non-customer service. Attitude and honesty is everything if you're going to choose a local business to work on your property. I understand need for small business to chose their projects but at least provide a plausible explanation. We used Kodiak when we first bought our home about 9 years ago and eventually decided on a service for weekly cutting. As for our experience - They were in and out - fast and not particularly thorough so we switched to a company called DC landscaping. All these years later we were looking for lawn help and though we might give Kodiak a try again. It's Springtime and we played phone tag for weeks because whoever answers their phones apparently isn't authorized to communicate re: scheduling ...and all the while I told them that my grass was growing out of control. Finally I was given evolving reasons why they could not do my lawn. 1st they had to see if it was on the route. Not hard to tell by google maps. I left my address with every message. Besides a guy regularly parks a kodiak around the corner from my house. Finally I spoke with Bob as he was driving by to check out the property. He immediately told me they would not be able to help. I told him we were a former customer and he would not take me at my word. Then I was told they only work with "manicured" lawns. So by this logic they are a lawn service that only maintains lawns that don't need help? We have the largest lot on our block so either they can't handle the work or don't want to spend the time. I definitely get the impression that Bob simply wasn't interested in MY business. I can only begin to wonder what that reason might be. I have several very obvious theories which I'll leave out of the review because it wouldn't be fair to jump to those kinds of conclusions. That said I'm pretty sure I didn't get honesty in these evolving explanations so what else am I to think? He left me a referral to someone else "starting out". No thanks. I'd sooner buy a lawnmower and do the work myself. read more
